This is a pretty decent Marshalls located in Jacksonville Beach. I came here looking for some sort of sweatshirt or half-zip sweater to battle the strong beach winds and unfortunately didn't find a single one (very odd, I know). However, I did find an insane amount of deluxe edition books that I love at the back of the store, near all their stationery products. As the bibliophile that I am, I couldn't pass up the opportunity and bought a few copies that will keep me entertained while freezing at the beach. Besides that, I also got some great deals on snacks and a few other items for the family. So at the end of the day, regardless of how odd it was not to find a single women's sweatshirt, I still got some great deals on other stuff. read more

Once again, the theme of my reviews lately are "I just came here to browse". I headed to the shoe department first. I'm not a huge shoe fan. Truth be told, I tend to be in flip flops or sneakers most of the time. This particular trip I was looking for a nude pair of sandals to wear with a dress for family photos coming up. Typically I'll just buy a pair of sandals on Amazon to avoid having to sift through a shoe department, but found a nice pair of heeled nude sandals that looked like they could be a winner. I tried them on, they were slingbacks, they had a velcro strap instead of a buckle, and they had a heel. They were also priced at $24.99, which was a good price. I looked around the remainder of the store, and luckily for me I didn't find anything else, because I really didn't need anything else. I wound up purchasing the sandals. Checkout was a breeze, the associate was nice. Parking was fine here, just be careful there are always people coming and going out of here. read more

Had to get outta the house today. What a nice day for shopping! Marshall's is known for good quality and low price items here. But I wanna bring to light the awesome job that they are doing to keep the community safe during this time. First I saw an employee sanitizing carts in the front. Another staff is greeting you (with masks on)and sanitizer. The isles are noted with direction arrows, not that all of us know what they mean, lol. The check out line also has the "6-feet apart" stickers. Upon arrival to the register I noticed all staff sanitizing between customers. Cleaning the POS machine ( where you swipe your card and enter your pin). There were also partitions between registers. As an infection control specialist, BIG shout-out to Marshall's for a job well done! I'll be back! read more

The store hours on Tuesdays are 7 am to 11 pm. It is Tuesday 7:15 am and we are standing in front of the locked doors watching the employees walking around ignoring us. They just started opening the cash registers, setting up merchandise all happening while the doors are locked. I do not understand why the store hours are posted on the door if nobody cares to open at 7 am. There was no apology for keeping us wait. Poor customer service! read more

I keep trying Marshalls and simply never find anything that I want. I noticed a few items that were also at HomeGoods (I went to 2 different locations on this day). I am a discount shopper primarily, but not necessarily a name brand shopper. That's the trick- Marshalls does have a lot of name brand discounted merchandise, just nothing that appeals to me. I do occasionally find shoes at this location, just not this visit. If you are a name brand hunter- this is a great store for you! read more

I bought a size small in a two piece beachy lounge set. I am 97 pounds and short. So xs and small fit me pretty good. I had bought the same set in a different color and it fit perfectly. So I came to get another one. The top fit. However the bottoms slipped right off once I put them on. They say small. Not sure if the manufacturer made a mistake but always do a try on before purchasing these sets ! read more

I've been shopping at this Marshall's location since I moved here in 2014. Whether I'm looking for something specific or just browsing I can always find great deals in this store. It is also a very well-organized store which makes the shopping experience more pleasant. And they have so many shoes and purses which makes this woman very happy. Lots of clearance racks as that is generally how I shop as I love to save money no matter what I'm buying. I refuse to pay retail prices for clothes and shoes. The service is always friendly but this is a very busy store so you may have to wait in line about 10 minutes. But for all the bargains that I find it's worth the wait. read more

Just a pain to buy and even worse to return items. I took a few items to return from an online order and had to spend 20 with the manager Magita for her to even find the order in their system. The first employee was actually nice but the manager herself was rude, never apologized for the long time it took to process a simple return. Worse the manager was speaking to me in sentences that were not full sentences. Saying things like oh..you have some seasonal products? No idea what did she mean as I was returning normal clothes. Then she said something like "it seems you have some products that you did not need to return" which I did not understand what she meant so I asked her to repeat, she rudely responded "don't you understand what I'm saying to you?" WTF!!!?? The store does not even offer a separate line for returns so you have to stand in line for at least 20-30 min. read more

This is my favorite Marshalls within Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach. They carry so many elite brands of clothing, shoes, bedding sets, etc and at a fraction of the cost. I love shopping at some of the local boutiques for ideas and then coming here to or my ideas to life for a reasonable price. They have a fantastic selection of men's clothing, kids clothing, picture frames, kitchen ware and all sorts of house hold needs. They even carry Kate Spade phone cases. Upon this visit I migrated towards the shoes. They had several pairs of Michael Kors that I haven't seen in any of the department stores. Whoever does the buying for this location knows their stuff! Homegoods and Marshalls in the same shopping center? Sweet! I really didn't need anything...I lie...I DID need a lot of things and it didn't hurt to walk in and see what Marshalls had to offer. I made a bee-line straight to the home stuff to check out their furniture, or even see if they had any. They had some nice side and coffee tables, bar stools, and chests but not nice enough for me to buy and take home. Checked out their home decor items and was still let down. It wasn't until I got to the food items that I got excited hahaha. Even though a lot of people wouldn't dare buy gourmet food items from department store, you can actually find good items that have a long shelf life. I picked up roasted garlic oil, garlic & sea salt and honey. Cookies, you have to be careful about. I found some cake batter cookies, and some raspberry and lemon cookies, the latter's box exclaiming "Perfect with a cup of tea!". Hmm I drink tea...tea and cookies...hmmm...SOLD! I had one last night and they are still fresh. The cake batter cookies I brought to work and passed them around the office and my co-workers (and I) loved them. Glad I bought two boxes. I also found some Macadamia Oil hair products sold for less than at the beauty supply or drug store. Yup if I don't come back for anything else, it'll definitely be for the gourmet section lol. read more

I always forget that this store is in the area. I'm normally out for the beach or Traders Joes. Some while enjoying a warm Saturday morning, I stroll in. Always looking out for shoes but it hits me, it's beach season, so I should add a few more suits in rotation. I found the area very well organized and several staff members putting out new items. Many of discounted options available. Who wants to spend $200 dollars on a suit when you can get one for $32.99! Fitting room confessions are a riot! I heard "my butt looks great, I could breastfeed easy, okay I'm going to the gym, etc." The attendant looked lost in space. I just it's not as funny hearing that stuff day in and day out. But that's where big decisions happen. Walk in with 4 swimsuits, a blazer, and romper. And only purchase the romper. I second the Yelper that said don't come looking for something specific. I needed to return something and I didn't have the tag or the receipt, and they still let me exchange what I needed to exchange. They didn't give me any problems and promptly gave me a number and I went and looked for a or a new pair of boots. I only complain about Marshall's and TJ maxes is that they just don't have good upkeep. It looked like a nice garage sale. But everyone was very pleasant. read more

Good selections, my go to place for beach stuff and randoms... typically great service from the he quick staff but today must have got a bad apple, DIANE or DIANA went to do a price check and was obviously not happy to let me finish my questions and cut me off every chance she got. She decided to charge me for a jar of turmeric the same price as a package of turmeric and ginger protein powder.... then I asked if it was 100% Turmeric she responded with "you're gonna have to read it".... in my world those two items are not the same thing... ones for cooking and ones for drinking protein shakes.... also, in my world customer service is about making you feel welcomed and going above and beyond.... not my experience... not at all.... other than this incident, I'd recommend this place. read more

Love Marshalls and particularly this one! They always have new selections every time I stop by and it's probably once every 2 weeks. My only real complaint is....wait for it.... THERE'S NO DIAPER CHANGING STATION! I've had to change my 9 month old in his stroller in the bathroom while people were looking at me weird. I've also tried the bathroom countertop....not safe, but I was being cautious. Seriously, what department store doesn't have some sort of a baby changing station nowadays? Every time I remember to go into this store I am not only amazed by the selection but also the prices! What's not to love about getting a shirt for half the original price? Nothing! While Marshalls promises to "bring you surprises you'll love", the surprises I encountered were certainly not lovable. Marshalls is a chain of off-price department stores that vows to deliver the latest fashion trends at reasonable prices. While their prices were reasonable, it was crystal clear as to why. Clothes and shoes were strewn everywhere with no sense of order, giving off a feeling of cheap chaos. I've never been a fan of Marshalls, but my trip there this past weekend reminded me exactly why. Being two women with nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon, my mom and I decided to go shopping. After a quick stop at Home Goods, which is located right next to Marshalls, we decided to look around for some new clothes at the popular department store. Upon strolling through the sliding glass doors, I immediately felt a sense of claustrophobia. Shelves were filled to beyond their capacity, with items threatening to spill on the floor. To my right was a haphazard beauty section with hairbrushes in the makeup section and hand soap in the hair section. As I walked down the tumultuous makeup aisle, I noticed not one, but three opened products. It looked as if an employee hadn't checked on this section in weeks. Finding anything in this store would be like finding a needle in a hay stack. With disorganized racks and shelves surrounding us, my mom and I decided to head to the more open back of the store. However, this turned out to be a mistake. The back of the store was the home décor section. Navigating through the aisles, we attempted to find a set of bedding. Not only was the bedding section completely out of order, but the bedding that we did find was of poor quality with ripped packaging. Pillows and blankets were stuffed into inadequate shelves with no order as to how they were arranged. The next aisle, organizational supplies, was anything but organized. I didn't even bother to look for anything in particular, as I knew it would be a lost cause. After this upsetting experience, we decided to head to the clothing section, where the bulk of the store's merchandise is located. As a self-proclaimed shopaholic, I have never had a problem hunting through store racks to find unique clothing pieces to sport. Unfortunately, Marshalls was the exception to this. Every item of clothing I picked up was either distasteful or of poor quality. After what felt like an eternity of digging through jumbled up racks and piles of clothes on the ground, I decided to give up. Adding to the poor quality and messiness of the store, the customer service was the cherry on top. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of Marshalls was their customer service. After asking where we could find a set of all white bedding, we were shooed away and told that it "wouldn't be hard to find". Due to the disorder in the store, it was actually very difficult to find. The staff seemed careless and indifferent to the shape of their store and to the experience their customers had. The neglect was made obvious in the condition of the different sections and the negative looks on almost every employee's face. It was clear that they did not care about their jobs or helping customers, which made for a very unpleasant shopping experience. Walking out empty-handed and disappointed, I vowed to never shop at Marshalls again. The time spent rummaging through muddled racks only to find mediocre clothing almost caused me to second guess my love for shopping. The messy conditions, low-grade clothing, and poor customer service were the worst triple threat imaginable.While Marshalls was indeed full of surprises, they were not the kind I anticipated nor the kind I enjoyed. read more
