I came here on a weekday because I was on the hunt for lamps. Truth be told, I also was a bit down in the dumps, and sometimes retail therapy helps me (temporarily, but still helps). I donned my mask and walked into Homegoods. You kind of have to mentally prepare when you walk in here. Despite coming for lamps, you really never know what you'll find (most of the time items you really don't need). I've been on a bit of a faux plant kick (listen, I can't keep real plants alive, faux plants bring the consistency in my life that I need....i.e. not dying on me). Unfortunately they didn't have any faux plants that I really liked, but they did have one of those new planters with the legs attached. I found one in gray and put it in the cart. Do I need another planter? No, but I heard my mom's voice in the back of my head saying "if you don't get it now, it won't be there the next time you visit." Next I walked up and down aisles of items, everything from lanterns to vases, rugs, furniture, and large giraffe planter thingy of some sort. Really, if you're looking for some items that are out of the ordinary, pay Homegoods a visit. Next I made a right turn to the lanterns. In the back of my head I have a "vibe" I'm going for in the house. Coastal/farmhouse. I'm not even sure if that exists, but it does it in my head. I found a blueish green lantern and put that in the cart, next onto lamps. Sometimes it's pretty rare to find a set of lamps at one Homegoods. I found ones I liked, white, with an ikat blue and blueish green print. I put them in the cart. I needed to leave before I decided to purchase anything else I didn't need. Checkout was a breeze and the staff was friendly. Prices are reasonable and the variety is out of this world. Pros: -Variety of items -Prices are reasonable -Staff is friendly Cons: -My taste in lamps, got them home and they stuck out like a sore thumb. They have a good selection of home goods here at reasonable prices. On our visit we got a bath rug and a mirror. The store is loaded with inventory of all types. The aisles are narrow and I felt really crowded inside. It seemed like I was always getting in peoples way when trying to move through the store with a cart. read more

Ok so I just complained about the Ross in Durbin Park being too bare, and now I'm going to complain about this HomeGoods having way to much stuff. LOL. But hey you'll probably find what you need for your home. The best part is they have a wide selection of home goods (get it? Haha I entertain myself), so if you are looking for something specific, chances are they probably have it. Prices are pretty reasonable for items like small furniture and cookware as compared to competitor stores. The attitudes of the staff is meh. The thing is concerning is that the AISLES ARE NARROW AF. Good luck if you're trying to navigate with a cart, especially if the store is pretty crowded. Also IMO it increases the risk of accidentally damaging a fragile display, because the aisles are narrow and there are many items hanging on the edge of the shelves. The "you break it you bought it" mentality possibly exists, so keep that in mind. People really nice, checkout really slow. I always enjoy shopping but check out is the worse. There were three registers open and only one persons at a register. I watched while in line for 15 plus minutes waiting, lost timing as it became comical. A customer would come up and the person at the register would disappear as our line got longer another store associate would go to a register and then walk away. A chaotic mess. Filled with any thing you would need for your home. From snacks to kitchen gadgets to bathroom decor to dog toys and more. They even have their Christmas items out already and it's only the beginning of November. Despite having stuff everywhere their staff is on point and extremely helpful. I asked one of the employees for help with a rug. She immediately dropped what she was doing came over and helped me figure out the price as well as take it to the register. Went into their store today and the line was all the way wrapped around the entire service area counter and down the next aisle. Only two cashiers when I walked in. I know it's a Friday but it's January 5. I'm not understanding why they don't have more people on the registers? I see plenty of people on the floor and coming in and out of the back service doors with there being six registers. Why can't they accommodate the current demand? Unacceptable as I have worked in retail my entire life and been a store manager myself I never sat in the stockroom I always made sure I was on the floor so I could watch the flow of traffic and give the best customer service possible when I called and asked one of the cashiers... She was very nasty and told me they opened late. It was her the tone of her voice and her attitude. I guess she's frustrated and that's really not her fault. But sometimes I wonder do they not know how to pick up a phone and ask for help? This is probably what's happening. read more

Home Goods at the Beach is one of our favorite places to piddle around. We feel this particular location is the best. We enjoy cruising through the store several times each month and regularly find some kind of household Gem that we just have to have. Check out their selection of Gluten Free premium Imported Italian Pastas. Nobody in town carries those. Their prices are very fair. There are usually Sale items throughout the Store. Prices are especially good after a seasonal event. The check out moves quickly. If you see something you like, buy it. Most things are one of a kind and move fast. Parking is good. Restrooms are clean. The store is stuffed and can be hard for handicapped to maneuver. read more

Homegoods is one of my all-time favorite stores! I love the eclectic items they carry, and always wonder what treasures I will find. There are times when the store can be a little unorganized, but considering the volume of shoppers, I feel bad for the employees. I try to make sure I put everything back, even items others have left out, because as a former retail worker, I know how painful store closing can be. Prices are fair, selection is nice, with some eclectic pieces. The lines can be either completely dead, or stretched far, there is no in between, lol. My mother recommended that I check out Homegoods for decor. I checked out the one on Southside and wasn't really that impressed. It wasn't until I found out that there was another store on the other side of town that I decided to give it another shot. It was a hike for me but I kept hearing about how much nicer it was and I finally took a Sunday afternoon drive out to Jax Beach to investigate for myself. I like this location much better than the other one. The salespeople were much nicer. One lady saw me looking at the cocktail infusion bottles and became my best friend, telling me about how she's been wanting to try them but wasn't sure how they'd come out. The options were Espresso, Cranberry, or Fiery Pepper and I went with Cranberry. All you have to do is pour in some wine or vodka and let it sit for a few days. I promised I'd come back to let her know how it went. On to other sections of the store... They have a huge section of bath and body soaps, lotions, shower gel, bubble bath items, all sorted by color. Who does that? Unfortunately I didn't need any of those but I felt the need to mix them up on the shelf. Bad Maya. Moving on... I picked up some kitchen mats, floral towels, and some super soft bath rugs before checking out the furniture section. The prices are pretty reasonable for the smaller items but I think some of the larger items like floor length mirrors or furniture are a bit overpriced, not that they aren't nice, just overpriced. I was happy with my items and went to checkout. I think I'll be heading out to the beach more often. read more

We always find way more than we need in here but when prices are so good how can you not. Also a big plus are the nice bathrooms in the back. I call it the store that carries everything you never knew you needed. I found a great deal on a French press which we were on the lookout for as ours was on the decline and we wanted one that was better insulated. If you find something you want - and I mean REALLY want - my advice would be to not pass it up. You never know if it's going to be there the next time you come in. However, there is one piece I think will be there for a while... If I had $700 lying around I would have totally bought the iron statue of a horse raised up on his hind legs. It wouldn't exactly fit in my house - and I don't know how they would have gotten it out of the store, but I'm sure the neighbors would have LOVED my new lawn art. read more

This place has everything you need! I recently moved to the area and have basically used this store to furnish everything in my new place. It has bath towels and accessories, bed sheet sets and comforters, dog supplies, and much more! Plus if you want to go with a beach theme, this place has everything you can ask for! The prices are pretty good and you can get some great deals. The things sold here are better quality than a target but lesser in price. The only downside to this place is things can get untidy from time to time. Some of the shelves can become a mess and it is difficult to locate things. 2 stars, not because of the product, but the service. Went here today. There was a lady we asked for help. We were looking for an arched floor lamp. She was not helpful at all when I asked if the lamp collapses so it can fit in my SUV. After a lack luster effort, she left and said nothing can be done. Disappointed with the effort, my wife and I played with it a bit more and figured out how to collapse the lamp ourselves. Anyway, we ended up buying it, but the store almost lost a sale. BUT the customer service at this location is probably the worst of all in and store in all of Florida. I smiled and said hello to two staff members as I shopped.They both ignored me and turned their heads as if I were invisible. Terrible customer service. I don't normally review merchandise outlets but the service was that bad. Line was 20 people deep and two cashiers who were obviously struggling and trying to help each other. We waited 30 minutes to check out. It got almost comical- lady in front of me asked one of cashiers who was answering phones while we were waiting if they could open another register- she said No! No apology at all. Manager came up to help AFTER 30 minutes and line wrapped around the aisles and still no apology. Just bad leadership- there were workers stocking the shelves and walking around the store, why not open another register or at least explain why you can't.
