We were not really impressed it was very messy , you couldn't find anything as lots of shelves had things thrown all over, plus opened and unopened boxes in the aisles. They may need more help to organize. The only ppl I saw working were at the register , we couldn't find anyone on the floor. No one said Hi when we came in. I saw lots of books but didn't go over there. The prices seemed like Walmart prices nothing stood out as a great deal to us but that depends on what u are looking for I guess. We probably will never go back.

I came in recently just to browse and potentially pick up a few things, and what started as a normal shopping trip quickly turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. While looking through the clearance section, I found an item without a clear price and wanted to ask if any additional discounts applied. I politely approached the nearest employee, who happened to be Deandria. I said, "Excuse me, do you know if this item has any further markdowns?"--a very simple and respectful question. Her immediate reaction was hostile. She gave me a look of annoyance and said, "Why do people always ask that?" in a rude tone. I was caught off guard but still tried to clarify, saying I didn't mean to be a bother. At that point, she outright cursed at me, saying something along the lines of "I don't have time for this sh*t," and walked off. This happened within earshot of other shoppers, and I was honestly humiliated. I've worked in customer service before, so I understand it can be stressful, but there is absolutely no excuse for that kind of unprofessional, aggressive behavior. I tried to bring it to the attention of another associate at the register, but they just looked uncomfortable and didn't say much. It felt like either they knew this kind of behavior from Deandria was normal--or worse, that they couldn't do anything about it. I left the store immediately and didn't make any purchases. The entire experience made me feel disrespected and completely unwelcome. Management at Ross needs to take this seriously. No customer should be treated this way for asking a question. If someone is this disrespectful on the floor, it raises serious concerns about how other customers might be treated, or how coworkers might be spoken to behind the scenes. I will also be filing a formal complaint with Ross corporate. This behavior is unacceptable and should have consequences.

I was looking for a citronella candle and no one had any but Ross had one in a pottery planter that will be useful after the candles done.. of course they have lots of clothes and a few shoes, cosmetics.. on your way out they have two rows of impulse items and yes I admit they have hooked me a few times on things I really didn't need but just had to have.. knocked off a star cause you can never seem to find any help on the floor in fact the only people I see are at the checkouts so good luck finding help if you need it..

Manager argued that they mark down according to how many of each size they have of each style Not the style itself. All sizes except that one size was marked down of that particular color. That size, same short, different color marked down. Says tag is always right. i used to work retail and am a seasoned shopper. That's not how mark downs are done. However, on very next item, it rang up cheaper than marked. No excuses on that one. Terrible attitude.

Apparently they had 50% off storewide sale and she wanted to take a look. I had not seen or heard of Torrid before so off went. It's a nicely appointed, clean, and well stocked store with friendly and helpful staff. While I figured out what they sold I decided to look them up to see what their deal is. They offer plus-size clothing and accessories for women size 10-30. Torrid opened its first store in 2001, in the Brea Mall in Brea, CA. They have over 600 stores in operation across 36 states in the US and is owned by Sycamore Partners, owner of Hot Topic, and US office retail biz Staples. They sell accessories, shoes, jewelry, novelty tee shirts, fashion tops, pants, Capri pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, outerwear, intimate apparel, hosiery, gifts, and beauty products.
