I usually don't leave reviews, but after the experience I had at Ross with an employee named Deandria, I feel compelled to speak up. I came in recently just to browse and potentially pick up a few things, and what started as a normal shopping trip quickly turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. While looking through the clearance section, I found an item without a clear price and wanted to ask if any additional discounts applied. I politely approached the nearest employee, who happened to be Deandria. I said, "Excuse me, do you know if this item has any further markdowns?"--a very simple and respectful question. Her immediate reaction was hostile. She gave me a look of annoyance and said, "Why do people always ask that?" in a rude tone. I was caught off guard but still tried to clarify, saying I didn't mean to be a bother. At that point, she outright cursed at me, saying something along the lines of "I don't have time for this sh*t," and walked off. This happened within earshot of other shoppers, and I was honestly humiliated. I've worked in customer service before, so I understand it can be stressful, but there is absolutely no excuse for that kind of unprofessional, aggressive behavior. I tried to bring it to the attention of another associate at the register, but they just looked uncomfortable and didn't say much. It felt like either they knew this kind of behavior from Deandria was normal--or worse, that they couldn't do anything about it. I left the store immediately and didn't make any purchases. The entire experience made me feel disrespected and completely unwelcome. Management at Ross needs to take this seriously. No customer should be treated this way for asking a question. If someone is this disrespectful on the floor, it raises serious concerns about how other customers might be treated, or how coworkers might be spoken to behind the scenes. I will also be filing a formal complaint with Ross corporate. This behavior is unacceptable and should have consequences. read more

I like the Ross store because it has a little bit of everything..they have a nice crafty and pet section. I can usually find some cool garden pots and tools at a good price. I was looking for a citronella candle and no one had any but Ross had one in a pottery planter that will be useful after the candles done.. of course they have lots of clothes and a few shoes, cosmetics.. on your way out they have two rows of impulse items and yes I admit they have hooked me a few times on things I really didn't need but just had to have.. knocked off a star cause you can never seem to find any help on the floor in fact the only people I see are at the checkouts so good luck finding help if you need it.. read more

Ok, I shop this store alot for my pets and home goods. Well the other week I bout something I thought was hair spray, it wasn't... Needless to say they wouldn't take it back!!!! WTH!! I guess clothes are the only thing they will take back! God forbid you open anything!! So I literally threw it in the damn trash can. This store needs better managers and more cashier help. read more

I'd like to start this review by saying I work in retail. That being said I understand Ross takes theft seriously as they should. However, my last two (and only two) experiences have been extremely uncomfortable. When I shopped today I went to the fitting rooms with four pairs of pants. The associate counted the items and handed me a ticket with the number four. I came out and the associate was tidying up another aisle. So I put the 3 pairs of pants I didn't want on their go-back rack hung the number 4 back where she had them. I started walking away when the associated called me back over freaking out asking me how many items I had (again), Where was my number and if I had four items where are the other 3. After I explained to her where everything was (in the obvious places) she proceeded to lecture me about the "next time" I need to try on clothes. But I don't even want there to be a next time. This is my second experience at Ross and long story short I had a very similar situation the first time. I feel so uncomfortable shopping at Ross. Is it my ethnicity? Is this how they treat everyone? Who knows. We do not treat even known thieves like this at my store. Ross needs some education on professionalism. read more

Don't like this store not very useful. Only good for do gooders that only like cloths and cheap unusful people that like cheap junk.

Me and my friends were walking into Ross, we all have jobs in hospitality, so we know what it's like to be in a work place and deal with difficult customers therefore whenever we go to a public place, we are sure to act responsibly to make everyone's job easier. With that being said, the employee that was at Ross tonight, had a problem with us the second we walked in. We came in an hour before closing, quickly walked over to the dressing room with 3 items in hand, and asked to use the dressing rooms, with plenty of time till closing time. Before we could finish asking we were rudely interrupted by the employee and were told that it was closed. When we went back to put the clothing back exactly where we found it, the same employee waited until we had put it back and walked away, to pick the item up and say "Next time you take an item out, put it back where you found it, we just got through putting things back" although we could see where she was coming from, there was most definitely a more professional/helpful way she could've asked us. not one "please" not one "can i help you?" just a friendly reminder that when you work in hospitality to always be helpful and kind to customers you never know the kind of day someone has had and the workers in hospitality are supposed to be of help and make you comfortable. read more
