We had two rooms connected by a shared living space and it was incredible. So convenient.

I had a wonderful girls' getaway with friends and it was AMAZING because of this hotel. Here's why: First of all, the VIEW. The rooms have a balcony that look out over the atrium so you can see the river. Stunning. We tapped on the balcony with Prosecco and had the best time. Secondly, we enjoyed the food! Don't get me wrong, we ate our way around Savannah, but when we didn't feel like going out, we ordered from the restaurant. The birthed is really good, and the chicken carbonara was DELICIOUS (that creamy sauce!). Also, the hotel is literally from the river, so we can walk to a bunch of cool things without having to Uber. And this might not matter to some people, but the beds were comfortable as well front desk staff was really friendly. Those small things matter to me. I plan on going again with my husband. This is the ONLY place I'd consider staying.

Location, location, location. This Marriott was located within walking distance of food, shopping, everything. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff members were friendly and welcoming. True professionals. Great place to stay.

What was good: Location, location, location! This place is on the riverfront and just a short walk to the historic district. Food is great. Ate at the atrium bar a couple different times. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The price was reasonable. What wasn't as good: Rooms are small, atrium had children running around screaming til late in the night (after 8 pm). My room abutted the roof where all of the HVAC equipment was. It was loud and it didn't give up. They should consider drapes that dampen the noise for these rooms. I am Platinum Elite with Marriot Bonvoy. This was not as good of a stay as compared to many others. There was also a language barrier with some of the service staff. It resulted in me getting the wrong order.

This building is clearly old, but should have never been zoned for a hotel. There is no quiet hour, you hear everything. The doors to the rooms aren't even sealed...(picture attached). This makes for an unsafe environment. Also, they asked if we had a car at the front desk and immediately added a 40 dollar up-charge to the already expensive bill to stay at this place. For an over 300 dollar one night stay, I would expect free wifi but that also does not, of course, come included. There are many better places to stay in Savannah, I've learned my lesson, never let anyone else book your stay without doing your own research. I'd say with this experience, this place definitely earns its 2 star rating here on yelp.

Love this hotel, the views, the service and everything else that you can think of in this hotel. Great location! Friendly staff! Great views of the river!

Our room was room 768. It's an incredible view. You can see the sunset from this window and the sunrise. It is far far away from the ice machine, which is great. At first glance, the room looks to be clean they give you two complementary bottles of water . If you ask for more filtered water, they give it to you at the front desk. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the shower and sheets . The bar area was really a hang out for all the guests. My husband got one of the best old fashions ever he got it made a single barrel rum and the bartender muddled the orange and the cherry. There is staff everywhere to be available for help. I could not find signs for the hotel restaurant named Blue anywhere. There should be signage as to where it is in the lobby. My husband comes here for business trips on a monthly basis. This is the first time I've come with him. He likes it because of the free EV charging. There's about four spots. It's also great because it is right on the Riverwalk and there's a great view if you are given a great room. Because he is staying here often it seems like they're giving him better room choices because he staying here so much. I was super shocked at the little things that really matter in this room . When we got off the floor, the lobby right at the elevators reeks of humidity, wet smell I'm guessing it's because of the high temperatures we've been having recently but still that's all on the seventh floor. In the morning, the smell seem to have dissipated.

I'm a photographer and I love coming here for Military Ball's and weddings. There's plenty of space, the outside is a waterfront view and you can see the Talmadge Bridge. They offer food and the ambience is very nice. It's very large inside for events!

Nice hotel, a bit outdated but with excellent customer service. Our reservations were cancelled at another hotel and they bounced on this hotel. They were very kind and accommodating for a last minute reservation. We only spent one night but it was a great night sleep.

A major river view for sure.

Service was good here. The desk staff was friendly. The river view from our room was outstanding. The concierge was very helpful getting us tickets to tours The room itself had several issues. A bit run down. The refrigerator had no racks. The shower door didn't stay closed. Chipped sink and toilet. I would stay here again based on location and if the room had been fixed up this would have been a 4 + star review.

Away from family and friends I decided at the last minute to come here and I'm happy I did! The food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. The price was affordable. I really enjoyed myself. The pineapple mango drink was refreshing. I'm happy I came here to enjoy the holiday. Kudos to the staff and management.

This hotel has the famed location right on the river, but it's definitely an older place. The wifi in the rooms is really bad. I was working remotely and couldn't do almost anything from the room. I ended up having to spend my days in a coffee shop. The wifi is a little better in the lobby, but it was loud in there. Additionally, when we first walked into the room it did have a slight smoke/musty smell that other reviews have mentioned. The ac in the gym wasn't working so they had 2 floor fans going. The gym is the one place you really want the ac to be working! All of the staff was pretty nice so that was a plus. And housekeeping was really sweet!

For the cost per night, it's a gross hotel. Pool is green. Bar staff is very slow and 30 minutes to get drinks. Food was also very slow

The staff was very accommodating throughout our stay. Being that I lived in Savannah 20 years ago, I have bragged about how incredible Savannah's hospitality is and the staff here definitely showed up. Huge thank you to Joey, Jackie, Cindi, and Darnell or as I refer to them as the dream team for making our stay so incredible. I hope they promote you all into management. Our room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Perfect if you have jet lag. I love that the toiletries have peppermint so you repeal bugs, which is a must in the south. Great alternative if you forget the bug spray. There's a coffee bar, restaurant, and a speakeasy bar that was Alice and wonderland themed. In the afternoon you are offered champagne, which is such a nice touch. They have bikes available to sightsee rather than walking. This hotel is close to everything in case you want to walk and explore shops, dining, etc. Overall, this hotel is beautifully decorated and charming. Something Savannah is known for. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially because it's pet friendly!

I originally removed my first post after management reached out to…read moreresolve the situation, but after a continuous cycle of shifting timelines and misleading information, I feel compelled to share the full experience. My AirPods were stolen by the staff here on the 17th. While I finally recovered them on the 29th, it was entirely due to my own efforts, not the hotel's. I had to file a police report and track the devices on the Find My app, watching them travel to a private residence before making their way back to the hotel days later. Getting answers from management was incredibly difficult. I was repeatedly promised callbacks--first at 3:00 PM, then at 4:00 PM--only to be completely ghosted for an entire day. Management only took the situation seriously after I posted my initial negative review. Once the review was live, the interim manager called immediately, offering 20k Hilton points as a goodwill gesture and claiming it would cover a night at "most places." Wanting to cooperate and focus on getting my property back, I agreed to take the review down. The poor communication continued with the shipping process. Management promised to overnight my AirPods the next morning, but the Find My tracking showed the AirPods still at the hotel until I followed up yet again to ask why it hadn't been dropped off at FedEx. It has now been a week since the points were promised, and they still have not arrived. When I followed up, the interim manager claimed the system takes two days to process them - meaning the request was never actually submitted when promised last weekend. Furthermore, the information provided about the loyalty program was incorrect: I was told the points do not expire, but Hilton corporate policy states they expire after 24 months of inactivity. The valuation is also incredibly misleading; 20k points does not cover a night at "most places," especially considering a single night at this exact property costs 66k points. While the staff member Michael was pleasant to deal with, the interim management team simply said whatever was necessary to get a negative review removed, with zero genuine follow-through. I highly advise travelers to keep a close eye on their belongings and be wary of management's promises.

I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We went out and took a stroll, came back around 9:00 AM and the elevators were not yet fixed. It was just ridiculous! Later on in the day, they managed to get ONE of the elevators working :) The next morning, we went to breakfast at 7 AM and everything is broken! We were pleased with room placement with balcony in furthest east Bldg (3Muses). We were advised water-facing rooms can be noisy. On that note, by the third and final night, Friday, this past weekend, we learned that the cobblestone street outside was quite noisy as well. Fortunately, on weekend, just after midnight, revelry noise level moves down from the billiard Halls across from our room. (Ear plugs were furnished in the room :-) Even so, we enjoyed the balcony for the mornings and pre-dinner hour: it was ambience into our room as we were getting ready for our various comings/goings. The medium-ish sized pool featured brrrrr water; not yet nuked by summer's power! But it was enjoyable for a refresh. It got unbelievably crowded on Friday afternoon, so glad we generally came earlier in the day. Fortunately my work Conference: buffet style food supplied by JW was above-average, 4* food for Conference food (3* if judged on its own merit). But we enjoyed the on-site dining from which we tried small plates from the African restaurant, fish at the seafood bar outside the main building; my wife enjoyed the breakfast dishes from the coffee shop in the main building. I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

I was honestly frustrated by my stay here, especially after reading past reviews…read more For years, guests have mentioned the truck noise, and management keeps replying with the same line about "sharing feedback with the appropriate teams." After staying here, it's clear nothing has actually changed, which is disappointing. I was on the 5th floor facing Bay Street, which turns out to be a major truck route near the interstate. The AC unit was loud, so I turned it off since it was cool outside. That's when the real issue became obvious. There's a traffic light right by the hotel, so trucks constantly stop, idle, and then accelerate again. The noise was incredibly loud, to the point where it felt like I was standing right on the sidewalk. Sleeping was difficult. It also made me wonder about room assignments. If this has been a known issue for years, you'd think they'd avoid placing guests with status in those rooms. A quieter-facing room would have made a big difference. There were a few other issues: * Couldn't access the pool or jacuzzi with the digital key (only the gym worked) * The jacuzzi itself looked worn and in need of refinishing * No complimentary water in the room or lobby, which is surprising given the Savannah heat (though there were cookies and coffee downstairs) * Toilet seat was oddly shaped and uncomfortable * Bedside lamp outlets were loose and didn't hold a charger securely * The clock on the nightstand was extremely bright at night with no way to dim it On the positive side, the lobby has a nice fireplace, and I appreciated the bathroom nightlight. All the staff I encountered seemed very young, under 30, which made me wonder if most roles here are entry-level. I couldn't help but notice a consistent pattern in who was working which positions, while visiting the south. Overall, the biggest issue is the noise and the lack of real action on something that's been raised repeatedly over the years.

The building is historic and you can feel it when you walk around the building. The rooms were recently renovated for furniture, but they retain the historic feel to them. The bed here was very comfortable and I got a great rest here. The bathroom was also renovated and was very clean. I came here with a large party and we booked a few rooms and everyone loved it here. My son and his family had a suite with a balcony. Their room's balcony entrance was from the window. I think this is the first time I saw this setup. There was breakfast service here as well. When you come in, you sit down and right away a waitress came with a paper menu. You would fill in what you would like for breakfast and within a few minutes they brought out the food. The menu options were excellent, they had grits, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, bacon, bagels, bread, fruit and a few more items. The breakfast really filled me up for the day. The service here was phenomenal. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight and they had an attendant at the front desk who checked us in and had a friendly attitude. The hotel also has valet service. The staff and housekeepers were very nice, accommodating and did a great job taking care of us. I had a great welcoming stay at the Marshall House. If you are traveling to Savanah, I recommend this hotel!
