Location, location, location. This Marriott was located within walking distance of food, shopping, everything. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff members were friendly and welcoming. True professionals. Great place to stay.

What was good: Location, location, location! This place is on the riverfront and just a short walk to the historic district. Food is great. Ate at the atrium bar a couple different times. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The price was reasonable. What wasn't as good: Rooms are small, atrium had children running around screaming til late in the night (after 8 pm). My room abutted the roof where all of the HVAC equipment was. It was loud and it didn't give up. They should consider drapes that dampen the noise for these rooms. I am Platinum Elite with Marriot Bonvoy. This was not as good of a stay as compared to many others. There was also a language barrier with some of the service staff. It resulted in me getting the wrong order.

This building is clearly old, but should have never been zoned for a hotel. There is no quiet hour, you hear everything. The doors to the rooms aren't even sealed...(picture attached). This makes for an unsafe environment. Also, they asked if we had a car at the front desk and immediately added a 40 dollar up-charge to the already expensive bill to stay at this place. For an over 300 dollar one night stay, I would expect free wifi but that also does not, of course, come included. There are many better places to stay in Savannah, I've learned my lesson, never let anyone else book your stay without doing your own research. I'd say with this experience, this place definitely earns its 2 star rating here on yelp.

I'm a photographer and I love coming here for Military Ball's and weddings. There's plenty of space, the outside is a waterfront view and you can see the Talmadge Bridge. They offer food and the ambience is very nice. It's very large inside for events!

Love this hotel, the views, the service and everything else that you can think of in this hotel. Great location! Friendly staff! Great views of the river!

Our room was room 768. It's an incredible view. You can see the sunset from this window and the sunrise. It is far far away from the ice machine, which is great. At first glance, the room looks to be clean they give you two complementary bottles of water . If you ask for more filtered water, they give it to you at the front desk. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the shower and sheets . The bar area was really a hang out for all the guests. My husband got one of the best old fashions ever he got it made a single barrel rum and the bartender muddled the orange and the cherry. There is staff everywhere to be available for help. I could not find signs for the hotel restaurant named Blue anywhere. There should be signage as to where it is in the lobby. My husband comes here for business trips on a monthly basis. This is the first time I've come with him. He likes it because of the free EV charging. There's about four spots. It's also great because it is right on the Riverwalk and there's a great view if you are given a great room. Because he is staying here often it seems like they're giving him better room choices because he staying here so much. I was super shocked at the little things that really matter in this room . When we got off the floor, the lobby right at the elevators reeks of humidity, wet smell I'm guessing it's because of the high temperatures we've been having recently but still that's all on the seventh floor. In the morning, the smell seem to have dissipated.

Nice hotel, a bit outdated but with excellent customer service. Our reservations were cancelled at another hotel and they bounced on this hotel. They were very kind and accommodating for a last minute reservation. We only spent one night but it was a great night sleep.

A major river view for sure.

Service was good here. The desk staff was friendly. The river view from our room was outstanding. The concierge was very helpful getting us tickets to tours The room itself had several issues. A bit run down. The refrigerator had no racks. The shower door didn't stay closed. Chipped sink and toilet. I would stay here again based on location and if the room had been fixed up this would have been a 4 + star review.

Away from family and friends I decided at the last minute to come here and I'm happy I did! The food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. The price was affordable. I really enjoyed myself. The pineapple mango drink was refreshing. I'm happy I came here to enjoy the holiday. Kudos to the staff and management.

Very little storage space. No end tables by the bed, just open shelves. A stupid high-tech bedside Lenovo tablet that appeared to do nothing other than tell the time (had two alarms) and weather - and shine light on you all night long, like it or not. The bed was topped with a pillowtop that felt like someone had stuffed eight inches of cotton balls into a sack - overly soft. Bathroom was a hair too dark (everyone we saw staying here is on the downhill side of what's optimistically called "middle age" - you need more light in the bathroom) for basic getting ready in the morning. Downstairs lobbies were pretty (and crowded) and also had nowhere decent to type. Utterly quiet, though. The quality of the materials used in the construction of the place was terrific; I can see why it's a pricey joint. Pretty decor all over and lovely seating in the public areas. TV worked fine and interfaced well with your electronics from home. Good WiFi throughout the property. Good charging ports found where you'll want them. Good blackout shades. Shower was fantastic. Lots of towels. Good bars on site. Completely, utterly, perfectly clean - and that's _despite_ being a pet-friendly place with heavy doggie presence. And every staff member was friendly and polite and lovely. And to top it off, the perfect location. Too many issues for it to be a five-star at this price point, but it's certainly very nice. So many nice things (especially the staff, cleanliness and location) that I'm sad not to give it five stars. Happy we stayed here at Perry Lane.

Being that I lived in Savannah 20 years ago, I have bragged about how incredible Savannah's hospitality is and the staff here definitely showed up. Huge thank you to Joey, Jackie, Cindi, and Darnell or as I refer to them as the dream team for making our stay so incredible. I hope they promote you all into management. Our room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, one of the best beds I have ever slept on. Perfect if you have jet lag. I love that the toiletries have peppermint so you repeal bugs, which is a must in the south. Great alternative if you forget the bug spray. There's a coffee bar, restaurant, and a speakeasy bar that was Alice and wonderland themed. In the afternoon you are offered champagne, which is such a nice touch. They have bikes available to sightsee rather than walking. This hotel is close to everything in case you want to walk and explore shops, dining, etc. Overall, this hotel is beautifully decorated and charming. Something Savannah is known for. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially because it's pet friendly!

I asked one of the male staff about it in the front desk and they said that there was nothing they can do and that the elevators will be both back up at 8:30 AM. We were pleased with room placement with balcony in furthest east Bldg (3Muses). We were advised water-facing rooms can be noisy. On that note, by the third and final night, Friday, this past weekend, we learned that the cobblestone street outside was quite noisy as well. Fortunately, on weekend, just after midnight, revelry noise level moves down from the billiard Halls across from our room. (Ear plugs were furnished in the room :-) Even so, we enjoyed the balcony for the mornings and pre-dinner hour: it was ambience into our room as we were getting ready for our various comings/goings. The medium-ish sized pool featured brrrrr water; not yet nuked by summer's power! But it was enjoyable for a refresh. This hotel has long term leases on almost all of level P3 of the Whittaker Street Parking Garage…read more Other private businesses with long term leases on spots mark the spots to inform people not to lark. Andaz Savannah Hyatt does not post signs nor mark the spots nor have any gate or signs to know what part of the garage they leased. Instead have sensors in the unmarked spots and tow without bothering to post any sign. Completely predatory. Sensors cost more than signs. They should put up signs. This is a very unethical dirty hotel that is doing harm to the city and the community. I went to a conference in Savannah, and carpooled with a coworker. We had gone to park at the Whittaker Street Parking Garage. On level P3, we went through an open gate to get in, and then needed a swipe card to get out. Half that floor is marked with "reserved for" signs, hanging from the ceiling and on the wall and concrete support columns by each parking spot. Those were something like reserved for a condo or something, not Andaz. Half is not marked at all. This is like a line down the middle half. The south part of the garage was marked; the north part was not. Line down the middle like 2 sections. Because the half that was marked said towing, my coworker had stayed in the car, and I went to go find the parking attendant to confirm we were parked in a public paid spot. On the street level, the security for Savannah said that where we were parked was OK, and that all reserved spots have to be marked. She told me where to find the parking attendant. The parking attendant said that all reserved spots are marked, and that unmarked spots are for the public paid parking. I went back to the car to tell my coworker that we were good to go. Well, it had taken me easily 20 minutes due to there is one single attendant. Lucky us, because when I got back, an Andaz Savannah Hyatt employee was there with my coworker saying he would towed. Apparently, rather than put up signs in their reserved spots, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt puts sensors pointed at each spot to detect a car, and then orders a tow. A sensor has to cost more than a sign. That's so dirty and immoral to not post a sign, and then to tow people. The two employees of the city and of the parking garage said that that was a public paid spot based on there not being any posted signs that it was reserved. Andaz Savannah Hyatt just cannot be bothered to communicate. They will tow, bill for the tow, mess up transmission on a four wheel drive, and stick that whole mess of theirs onto regular people. Because they can't be bother to even post a sign. Also to leave, we had to drive out an "in" gate, which apparently they leave the "in" gate permanently up for cars to drive through, then have a billing "out" gate that you have to swipe the card and be billed to leave. Like a trap. No signs when you come in, and no signs on their entire half of the P3 level. I am certain what they are doing is illegal, to tow without having any posted signs at all on their half of the garage. When I searched, Georgia law requires 12x18 inch no parking signs or a sign at the gate. Andaz Savannah Hyatt had a permanently open gate for entrance, closed gate for exit, and absolutely no signs on what the employee of Andaz said was the Andaz parking. And said he would have towed if my coworker weren't there in the car. Well, it's travelers and tourists, so Andaz Savannah Hyatt can get away with it, because they rob from people who don't live in the city. They break the law, and harm the community. This hotel is doing dirty. What else are they doing. Nope, nope, nope. Badly run and cannot be trusted. Even if you are not a customer, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt will harm you just for being nearby.

I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

There's something bittersweet about Hotel Bardo. It feels like someone really cared when they built…read moreit -- beautiful design, thoughtful touches, and great amenities. But since then, it seems like no one's paid attention to the details that actually make a stay feel 5-star. We stayed just one night and noticed several things that made the experience feel less than premium: * Curtain was literally held together with paper clips * Bathroom sink barely drained * No "do not disturb" hanger for the door, had to request one * Vacuuming started in the hallway at 7:15am * Gym had beautiful treadmills with screens and free earbuds -- but the internet was down, so none of t worked To their credit, they did offer to send someone to fix the sink... but on a one-night stay, why would I want to spend part of it with someone working on the pipes in my bathroom? That's something that should be checked before a guest ever walks into the room. There were some nice touches: a complimentary car service, wooden room keys, a convenient texting system, and solid amenities (though we didn't use many of them). That said, I couldn't help but feel like we were placed in a neglected room -- possibly because the stay was part of an Amex Platinum perk. And honestly, if I'd paid $275-$400+ out of pocket for this room, I'd be much more upset. Not trying to be petty -- but let's be real: at a true 5-star hotel, I expect a seamless experience where my basic needs are handled without me having to ask. Hotel Bardo, unfortunately, missed that mark.

The cons; during our stay, we had trouble the entire time getting the room to cool down, we had the air set at 64 but could not get the temp of the room beneath 73. I complained once and they said maintenance would take a look but nothing happened and I didn't get a follow up. We didn't get informed about ANY of the imenities of the property when we checked in including hotel cars, bikes, etc... also, the front desk staff told us there were pickleball and tennis courts so we walked over only to be let down that the courts were just for tennis, why would they lie about that? Lastly, it was dissapointing when we would go out to the pool and couldn't get two chairs for the both of us. All in all, I would probably go back but with some reservations, I agree with other reviews you don't get what you pay for here from a service perspective and 5 star treatment.
