Fairfield Inn - Savannah, GA I did not care for this hotel. First off, they charge $12 a night just to park in their own garage, which feels absolutely ridiculous. At check-in, the hostess was extremely rude and full of attitude--so much so that I even asked if she was having a bad day because of how unpleasant she was. Later, when asking for extra towels, the same bad attitude continued. Definitely not the kind of customer service you want when traveling. On the positive side, the breakfast bar in the morning was decent--nothing fancy, but it got the job done. The hotel itself seemed overall clean, and our room with two queen beds was fine, though very basic. Nothing memorable. The bigger issue was housekeeping. We stayed for three days, and even though we requested room cleaning, our room was never touched. By the end of our stay, we had a pile of three days' worth of towels sitting in the room. They also don't provide enough towels to begin with, so it felt inconvenient the entire time. Overall: this hotel left a lot to be desired. Between the rude service, unnecessary parking charges, lack of housekeeping, and basic accommodations, I wouldn't stay here again. read more

Sad experience. I checked in at 4 pm and went up to the room only to find it in shambles. Their was food in fridge, the toilet had "stuff" in it, trash and food everywhere, but, hey at least the bed was made. Oh, and did I mention that this room was directly across from Housekeeping? How ironic! This was not a great welcome for a Platinum Plus member. I went back to the front desk informing of the unclean room. I asked to speak to the GM (Ashley S.) and was told that she was not available. I asked for another room, but was told that there were no more rooms available. Pushing the clerk further she found a room. I asked that she have the GM call me, which she never did. I went down to the front desk two hours later and the clerk asked if the GM called me and I told her that she did not. GM was now gone for the day. Over the next two days, I asked for the GM and called several times only to no avail. The GM was either not at the hotel or tied up in hours long conference calls with "Corporate". I couldn't even leave GM Ashley a vmail because her voicemailbox was full. What more can I say here folks? I would highly recommend staying elsewhere as there are many better options in the area. read more

I have only a few times encountered customer service as great as this hotel has. I checked in March 5 about 9pm after traveling from Atlanta and being with my granddaughter at the hospital I was greeted warmly by Jason and given a gift bag. Such a bonus. The next day before check out I went to get coffee. The lady at the front desk was wonderful, I regret not remembering her name. When she found out I was traveling back to Atlanta, she gave me a book about Savannah. Another bonus. This group of ppl should be given a raise for their attention to detail and excellent customer service. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. read more

Great hotel only about 4-5 miles from downtown!! I only stay at Marriott hotels I love the complimentary breakfast and big clean rooms. The front desk associate was very nice so great customer service. Lobby was nice and clean as well as our room. This hotel has a parking garage for guest only the parking is $12 which isn't bad at all compared to downtown parking. The rooms have Netflix thank goodness lol and it has prime too. The tv was a little small but it worked. Overall rate: 9/10 read more

First time in Savannah and didn't know what to expect. We booked this hotel cause it was on the cheaper side and didn't have a huge historic district parking fee. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel. FYI park on the floor you are staying and you can walk up 4 stairs and onto your floor. Parking is tight if you have a truck. Staff was very helpful gave us recommendations for things to try in the historic district. Seems like if your looking for a tour you have to start at the Savannah information center. The room was clean but could use a little TLC in the bathroom. The included breakfast was turkey sausage patties, quiesh, waffles, 3 different cereals, bagels, toast, 3 different beverages, O.J., cranberry, and blueberry. The room was about $140 per night. FYI there are resort fees alot of Georgia taxes and fees after room charges, but not enough that we wouldn't stay here again. read more

We stayed here on a Saturday night and were excited to leave. First off, they did not honor my GUARANTEED by Marriott Platinum benefit of a late check-out. They did not even realize my status when I checked in. They also had mobile app check-in when in fact they have no access to the mobile app chat or check-in function. The rooms were fine and big enough for our family of 4. Parking in their non-gated garage was $12 per night and there is not really another option. When coming back to the hotel, the police were there dealing with a dispute between the front desk and a customer. The breakfast was good, and the staff very nice for the meal. This location is not that close to the historic district (15 minute) drive so I would not recommend for that purpose. read more

Our customer service experience was horrible. I requested two additional pillows before we checked in because my wife needs them for her knee, we never received them the first night. Additionally, I asked to have our room cleaned and I had to try and speak Spanish because the man couldn't understand or speak English. Our room wasn't cleaned, the next day my wife and I went to Savannah all day, when we got back at 3:45pm, our room had still not been cleaned. I had to flag the housekeeping associate down and ask if she would do it. We left for 45 min and when I got back all she had done was empty the trash cans. I called down to the front desk and the customer service representative just said oh, that's not right. At 5:07pm we got a knock on our door and the housekeeping woman wanted to make our bed, my wife said it's too late. Lastly, every person working here gave me an attitude about filling up my water bottle with the cold water versus using the gym filtered system, which is not cold. They were talking to each other under their breath but I could hear everything they were saying. My wife and I have stayed at Marriott 82 nights this year, we are Titanium status, we have never been treated like this. We will never stay at this hotel/location again. We had no choice as we were evacuating from Hurricane Milton in Ocala, Florida. Our stay was Oct 8-11, 2024. Also, one of the elevators is out of service. There are only two inside the hotel. read more

This place really surprised me. We were only stopping in Savannah shortly, so we just needed a convenient place to stay. Nothing too expensive, just somewhere close to the city. A little under 20 mins from Savannah's historic district, and a beautiful drive through the city's suburbs, this Fairfield Inn was just perfect. We arrived at 3am and were checked in by the kind staff. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and with huge windows facing the beautiful Savannah architecture. We also got to meet the manager -- staff here is really great. The parking was also extremely convenient and I do wish more hotels did it like they do it here -- you can park on the floor you're staying at and easily get to your room for $12 a night. Amenities included free breakfast, fitness center, and a pool. Marriott members with status can get late checkout (we got 4pm) and even a bottle of hot sauce or points when checking in, depending on the status. Would definitely recommend this place! Also, there's a bus nearby that goes straight to the historic district of Savannah, in case you're without a car. read more

I spent two days searching for a hotel to accommodate a brief trip to Savannah. We chose midtown because we wanted parking, but honestly downtown had plenty of street parking. The hotel staff were not immediately available at the front desk. I had to wait about two minutes for someone to appear. The staff isn't very helpful or informative. At least if you work at a hotel, you should know the surrounding or popular areas in the city. The room wasn't very clean...the walls were gross. The pool area was not kept tidy in between swimmers. Food cartons and cups were left the pool. I wouldn't recommend read more

Stayed here two separate times in two weeks. First time everything was good. Second time my room was more expensive and much less nice. Room smells like cat piss and the A/C barely works. I watched people plug in their Tesla and then walk over to the hotel next door. They blocked the charger all night and the hotel staff don't care. Really disappointing. Added bonus there are roaches all over the outside of the hotel so if you decide to stay here watch where you step. read more

Once I got to downtown Savannah I was just as happy to not be staying there, and the Fairfield Inn was much cheaper. The parking garage and general ease of access was good. The rooms were good too. The lobby needs a good cleaning. It was not cluttered, but the sofa pads and such were dirty and there were cracks in some of the seats. Just looks bad. There was a breakfast but we didn't have it. read more

I'm not very brand loyal, but after a pretty good experience with Fairfield a few years back, I generally look for them first when I am on the road. Not as likely to be individually franchisee owned, but rather held by a group management company, the quality of one's stay is ultra-dependent on how hard the management company works at maintaining the hotel and staff. TMI Hospitality out of Fargo, which holds a gaggle of Fairfields, does an excellent job. They have the one in Roseville, MN that I first stayed at. North Point Hospitality, out of Atlanta, owns and operates the Fairfield Midtown in Savannah. They built this one from the ground up and it opened in 2016. On many levels, there are no noticeable differences from one Fairfield to another. They are generally tastefully decorated, with functional rooms geared to the business traveler, adequate work space, free wifi, comfortable lobby, exercise room, pool (this one was outdoor, but heated) and a pretty comprehensive complimentary hot breakfast, where some items change on a daily basis. Basically, you're going to find fruit, juices, yogurt, waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, biscuits and gravy, breads and danish, muffins, coffee, tea, and milk. One morning there was scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, another cheese omelets and veggie sausage. Pork sausages were available both days. There are the usual accompaniments, condiments, cream cheese, peanut butter, fruit jellies. Some observations, not criticisms, of this hotel. Staff wasn't as welcoming, friendly or helpful as other Fairfields. Let's call that level of service "perfunctory." I object to a parking fee when the ramp/lot is part of the hotel. The parking ramp was poorly designed, and should be re-striped, at least, the slots are too small for most current model cars. Don't even think about taking a big pick-up or van in there. As a testament to the design error, the hotel has taped up strips of foam on the concrete pillars to try and assist you in minimizing the potential damage putting your car in and out of the space. Note if you're making a reservation: rooms with Kings have only a shower. Rooms with two queens have a tub/shower. Not sure why, but that's the layout of this hotel. Speaking of bathrooms, you can clearly hear bath "activities" from adjacent rooms. Breakfast was fine, as described above, but one day was an hour late, without explanation. That's fine if you're a leisure traveler, or one of a group of seniors off the tour bus, but business people and departing guests are apt to be put off by that kind of thing. Pluses? Besides the things I've mentioned, a nice neighborhood, about 4-5 miles from downtown, shops (including two groceries) and restaurants within walking distance, city bus stops at the front door. Appreciate the outdoor pool was heated to a very comfortable level. I'd stay again. FYI. Shop hard online for rates. I discovered I was paying 30-40% less than many other guests. read more

A Marriott member for years. I know what to expect when I stay at Marriott Hotels and this one didn't live up to the grade! Check-in was nice and easy, and parked directly on the floor we were staying on. Was not told about a parking fee until check out when saw it on the bill ($12.00). Parking fees are noemal and expected when staying in downtown hotels, but this hotel is 6 miles from downtown and not in a desirable area. The breakfast was disappointing with 2 premade sandwiches, one spicy jalapeno biscuit and one plain egg and sausage biscuit. Took both to the room to find them both cold in the middle. Went downstairs and stood in line to make a waffle and a cup of juice. Grabbed a banana for the road. Did use the pool in the evening and it was nice and not crowded. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Marriotts are usually nicer! read more

Greetings, I recently booked two rooms at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Savannah, Ga (Midtown) in order to attend my graduation from Ga Southern University. Here is a recount of my disappointing experience: We arrived late, probably 11 pm. When I pulled sheets back in room 825, there was an ant in the bed I called front desk, they brought me new sheets but told me I needed to change them because they were the only ones here. I changed the sheets myself Left at 10 am to attend my graduation. Room wasn't clean when we returned at 6:30 pm After we called and requested to have someone clean, we came back up an hour later to.... Pillow still on floor Towel still on floor Shower still not clean Trash still on floor in bathroom Trash still not taken out Bed made, but it looked like it was made by a toddler...unkempt, fitted sheet was not tucked Sheets were not changed All of this was seen by the manager Wanda, she came and cleaned it herself at 7:50 pm While she and a few others were I n here cleaning, an ant was crawling on my mom's arms. We were immediately moved to another room. I'm so disappointed. read more

this hotel is splendidddddd. there were no cockroaches. the staff was wonderful and the room was so clean. 10/10 recommend.

Don't get me wrong. The room is nice and clean. But seriously no WiFi on the first night I get in? They sent an IT guy to fix it but it went out again almost immediately after he left. I would not recommend this place but they do have a ChargePoint connection for my Tesla. read more

We rarely stay in hotels (often preferring the Airbnb route), but we were having a hard time finding something that was the right fit. We ended up opting for this Fairfield Inn and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. It felt warm and inviting, the staff and check in process were smooth and wonderful. Also, if you happen to be a credit card rewards member, we got our parking comp'd and room upgraded, which was an unexpected bonus and made me realize I need to take advantage of those perks more often. The room was spacious, it was quiet and cozy. The continental breakfast was also decent with a variety of options like eggs, waffles, fruit, english muffins, etc. After a few days of indulgent eats, it was nice to enjoy something light and filling. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. Top notch customer service, up-to-date and clean, and a convenient, quick drive to the historic district. read more

The front desk staff, particularly Angela, are great. But the management needs to give their head a shake. Pool heater is broken and we were told "Gonna have to order a new one." When? It's apparently been broken for a while. Deck chairs are covered in pollen and never (it seems) washed. Needs more attention to detail which this property has not had for a while. Arrived later in the evening and was assisted at check in by a nice front desk clerk. He instructed us on parking which is a parking garage attached to the hotel. The room was clean, modern and inviting. The bath/shower was as well. I was really impressed probably the nicest Fairfield Inn I've stayed in. The breakfast the next morning was far and away above the typical Fairfield makes me think they had more of a kitchen than mist to prepare/ prep food. Exceptional hotel stay! Clean room! Clean air system -- I smelled absolutely no cigarette smoke, no body odors or any strange odors for that matters. This room was CLEAN! I actually WANTED to sleep in the bed! In fact, the bathroom was clean enough to eat off the floor! BONUS: Great Paul Mitchell products. Location! Location! Location! -- It is a quick 10 minute drive down Abercorn to the famous Historic District. Nyita was extremely helpful in making sure the guests had what they needed during continental breakfast. She even made waffles for us folk who are mechanically challenged. Also during breakfast, I mentioned that today is my best friend's birthday to Nyita. Seeing a 'Now Open' sign, still hanging in the window as we pulled in was most refreshing. Pros: - Location: Savannah midtown, about 5 miles to downtown Savannah. - Lobby is lively with modern decor. - Parking deck annexed to the building ($10 per night). Pull up out front and check-in. Drive up to the level of your floor and conveniently off load your luggage through an entrance on each floor. - Room was comfy. The decor and wall art fully embracing the distinct beauty of Savannah. Particularly, the back splash on the bedroom wall of a shady oak tree laden with Spanish moss. - Free WiFi worked well. - Microwave and mini refrigerator in room. - Bathroom still clean and unblemished. - Complimentary breakfast with an incredible dining staff (Nyita & Morgan). They ensured that each guest had a great dining experience. Better services than some restaurants I've been to! For coffee lovers, their brew was the talk of breakfast. Guests kept going back for seconds. Cons: - Air condition made a ridiculous amount of noise. Even when it's off it sounds like it's still blowing. - Black out curtains are too short. Sunlight permeates the room when you're still trying to get some shut eye. - An almost constant flow of water was heard through the walls of Room 204. Drainage pipe/Laundry room run off? Your guess is as good as mine. I overheard an elderly couple saying that this was their third stay here since it opened, and I could understand why. In spite of the few cons, we enjoyed our long weekend stay. Hotel logistics 5/5 Room 5/5 Location 4/5 read more

4 stars for a new hotel and great location! We stayed here for 1 night the week after Christmas. It was an enjoyable stay and an easy check-in. I had booked this hotel through my Marriott rewards, and being that it wasn't directly located in the historic Savannah area, the pricing was a bit cheaper than hotels only a few blocks away. However, based on the photos I had seen online, I could tell the hotel was brand new, as google maps had not updated newer photos. Upon checking in, we were greatly with a friendly staff person. And he told us that daily parking was $10 to use the parking garage. We could park on the floor of our room and easily walk over to our hotel room... which made it very convenient! However, when I had originally booked the hotel, I don't remember reading about the daily parking fee, which took me by surprise. The Fairfield Inn usually includes a free complimentary breakfast and this one did as well. The breakfast was the normal spread: scrabbled eggs, breakfast meat, breads, waffle maker, fruits, cereals, coffee, teas, etc. It was pretty tasty, however, I would recommend going early because the later you go the more busy it can get. The overall hotel room was very pleasant and you can tell everything was brand new. We stayed in the King suite with a king bed and large sofa. Our room even had 2 TVs. It was a spacious suite and if needed 4 people could easily spread out nicely. All in all, I'd love to come back and stay here again. read more

My family and I decided to take a two day trip to savannah. Saw this hotel and realized they have just be open for a few months. So we gave it a shot and I'm glad we did. The customer service was great. We stayed on the highest floor and the parking deck was convenient to where our room was located. The pool was very nice as well.. the gym is small but how much of a workout do you plan to do on vacation lol We got one room with two queen beds for 4 people. This was a spacious room, very nice setup. The area for us was perfect, there are places around us to grab something that you may have forgotten or just wanting to grab a quick bite without the heavy traffic. I am really disappointed that I am having to leave a 1 Star Review with what easily should have been a 5 Star Review. Let me begin with the positives. When you arrive at This Fairfield Inn and Suites. The Appearance on the Outside and Inside is very above average for Marriott's Fairfield Inn Brand. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of Marriotts top rated Fairfield Inn Hotels as most Fairfield Inns that I have stayed at across the country are in outdated dumpier buildings. Not this location. This Location is in a brand new building or maybe a renovated building, regardless it is one of the nicest Fairfield Inn's I have been in and I have been in hundreds!! This Fairfield Inn is right off the highway and a few minutes from Downtown Savannah Proper. The Breakfast was above average for this Fairfield Inn too. Even during this crazy COVID PANDEMIC. The Lobby and Hang Out area was always very nice, clean and homey. I really think the ladies behind the front desk go the extra mile to make all guests and guests of guests feel welcome. I happened to be at this Fairfield Inn as I was running back and forth from my Condo in Pooler Georgia and this Fairfield Inn Location meeting with a group of people that were all staying at this hotel. The Ladies at this hotel were all so fun and friendly. From the moment you checked in they did a good job of putting on their game faces and doing everything they could to assist you. They all had great senses of humor. They really did what they could to make every guest stay as pleasant as positive. I would prefer to not have to leave any negative review for this hotel but this entire situation that I am going to detail out below and how its been handled so far is just not setting well with me. I want to give the Management and Staff at this Savannah Fairfield Inn Hotel the benefit of the doubt because they really were exemplary employees for the entire Marriott Brand. One of the days on December 19th. I had decided that I was going to stay the night at the hotel instead of driving back to Pooler. It was late. Miss Shakira had assisted me with reserving a room. I was less than a minute into checking in when I had made the decision that I was not wanting to stay at that hotel (because I had heard about an issue the Savannah Fairfield Suites was having earlier on during that week that does not need to be blasted on here but the entire staff at the Fairfield Inn definitely knows exactly what issue I am referring to). Because of this issue Shakira allowed me to cancel my room less than a few minutes into checking and be able to receive my full money back on my Bank of America MasterCard. once the manager got back on duty the following morning. Fast forward a few days later. I talked to the hotel in person and also called the hotel. I spoke with the GM maybe 2-3 times. The GM had assured me that the money was going to be refunded back to my Bank of America MasterCard. that I used to pay and it could take 7-10 business days. After waiting 7-10 Business Days. I had noticed the charge still on my BOA account. I called the Hotel and asked again for the GM and she had said that it showed the Payment was in the process of being refunded to me on my BOA Master Card. Fast Forward almost 30 days later. I followed back up with the hotel GM and let her know that the charges were still on my account and nothing had been refunded. She had told me that it was showing that the charges were refunded on her end. I assumed maybe that my bank would reflect this later on during that business week. I gave it a few days. Still showed the charge for the room and no refund on the BOA Account. We are going on almost 42 days now as it is now Jan 30th and there is still no refund showing up on my Bank of America MasterCard. I have given the GM and this Fairfield Inn Management Team plenty of time to take care of this situation which could have been easily avoided altogether if it was handled correctly 42 days ago which is why I specifically mentioned at the beginning of this post that this review easily could have been a 5 star review instead of the 1 Star Review. It would be a Zero Star Review if there was an option for Zero Star Review. read more

The rooms are nice. The bed is comfortable. The shower is great. NO WIFI FOR 15 HOURS SO FAR. When I politely inquired, the front desk representative told me it's not their problem. Seriously she said that. She said that since the WiFi is managed by an outside company it's not their problem. No apology for any inconvenience either. I was just politely inquiring. She was far less than polite. The front desk people are some of the WORST I've ever encountered. Btw, the manager doesn't work weekends. So no help there. But from other yelp reviews I've read, I gather the manager is unresponsive anyway. I'm thinking that next time I'm in Savannah I'll be staying down the street at the Courtyard Marriott. There's just no need for treating customers so rudely. Update: 23 hrs since WiFi went out. It hasn't come back permanently yet. It comes in and out for and hour or so at a time now. Sometimes just for thirty minutes. It's basically unusable. read more

If I could rate it less than one star I would. They cancelled my booking without letting me know prior. Also a different booking agency than the one I booked through was the one in contact with me, which is very unprofessional. Didn't honor the rate at which I booked for and they even gave me the incorrect rate when telling me that it was an error from within. My trip is less than two weeks away and now I'm out a hotel, (3/21/18) contacted the hotel, as per request of the manager. No one was able to assist me. I ended up emailing the general customer care email and they said a representative from the hotel would contact me in 3-5 days, that was on (3/5/18) and still no one has attempted to contact me. Short Version: EXCELLENT newer high-rise hotel. Super-clean, friendly, amazing lobby (awesome fireplace!), comfortable clean room, great bed & pillows, spotless spacious bathroom, delicious complimentary breakfast, and the BEST parking garage ($10 a day). Location is about 4 (give or take a little) miles from the downtown historic area. FYI!!! Do NOT confuse this hotel with another "Fairfield Inn Midtown" that is on Lee Boulevard - that one is NOT this hotel. This hotel is a new high-rise on Abercorn. I only say this because I confused the two at one point. They are close together and both named "midtown". Long, drawn-out version: I don't even know where to begin at how pleasantly surprised I was with this hotel! We were driving down the street looking for it, and when the building came into view, we were, like, whaaaaat?! It's a beautiful high-rise Fairfield Inn (not your typical FF Inn, by any means). I had never stayed in this hotel and when I entered the lobby, I was REALLY hoping I was at the right place! My stay was August, 2017, and it seems like the hotel was brand new. Check-in guy was VERY nice and pleasant. My suite was 2 queens and was very spacious and comfortable, super-clean and welcoming! Beds were great and magnificent pillows. In the room is a long bench-type thing where you can put lots of luggage or belongings, in addition to there being a work desk and a small closet. There is also an area with a frig, coffee pot with supplies, and, I think, there might have been a microwave. The TV is very nice with all that Netflix hookup stuff. The bathroom was roomy, spotless and had very nice fixtures and tiles (I loved the countertop). There is a wonderful (complimentary) breakfast in the mornings in a bright sunny, large room. Parking: GREAT parking situation; there is a parking garage, and you can park on the floor you are staying on - then just enter the back door (safe key entry), and you are inside the hotel, no elevator to deal with (there are, of course, elevators, but you can walk right into the floor your room is on). The parking costs you 10-bucks a day - don't whine about it - because, believe me, it is WELL worth it - I loved that convenience. There is a big gym on the first floor and an outdoor pool (I didn't use either because I don't believe in unnecessary exercise). I used the business center and the computers there were excellent (it only had 2 computers, but that was fine for my quick directions - the printer worked good). Location: The location is on the main road (Abercorn) into downtown Savannah. This is not a downtown / historic area location, but it is a quick ride in your car (about 4 miles) to get to the downtown / riverfront area. Around the hotel is a little strip shopping area with higher-end shops, and a Fresh Market (it's a 2-minute walk). Across the street are several restaurants and shops. Nice location where you could easily find a restaurant or anything else you need. In the breakfast room, I LOVED the plates - they were the biodegradable kind, not that planet-polluting Sytrofoam - I really liked that (I'm all about saving the planet). They also had recycle bins. This was a GREAT stay in Savannah, and I will always stay here from now on. The price was excellent; I don't know if it was because of the time of year, or because it's just a cheaper hotel. Whatever it was, I was very happy with the price and everything about this hotel. Quite honestly, I was shocked at how nice it was! I really enjoyed my stay here and wish it had been more than one night. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. read more

Brand new building. Came to this location for a week stay during a work trip. Very impress with the modern and clean lobby. You pay $10 for parking per night and each level correlates with the room floors. Making it easier to get to your room as soon as you park. The rooms are equipped with microwave and small fridge. Bathroom is extremely spacious and modern. They offer a hot breakfast with a few options. I had the cheese omelette and English muffin. The omelette is delicious and good portion. Very disappointed. The picture of the hotel amenities sheet I included kinda sums it up-LAZY staff. I definitely didn't feel like it was COVID clean but luckily I travel with supplies to makes sure I'm safe. The amenities paper in the room is impossible to ready completely crooked. How hard is it to center a sheet in a printer, especially something you are putting in every guest room? I walked down to the front desk to ask for a flat sheet. The women (who had her mask pulled down) said sorry I don't have any. Not "I'll send one up" just no. No laundry bag in the room. My daughter went to the front desk to ask for one. This time someone said we'll send one up. It's been 2 hours and we are leaving. Needless to say - nothing was ever brought up. Also as a lifetime titanium member - MARRIOTT - please make parking fees one of the amenities you can pick. I expect to pay parking in the city/downtown but not in the burbs. Overall disappointing stay. read more

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Savannah Midtown - Hotels Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

This is our home away from home in Savannah. We used to stay at Holiday Inn Express until we stumbled across this hotel. We have stayed here at least three times and every time, the staff has been friendly; the rooms are very clean and we always leave feeling like it was money well spent. Just to put this in perspective, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency on River Street last night (which was much more expensive) just to change it up and we regretted it. The value of Fairfield is definitely worth every dime!!! It also helps that it's close to our daughter's college, the mall, and some of our favorite restaurants in the area. Enjoy your stay the next time you're in Savannah!! read more

The location is perfect and Savannnah very close. Charming hotel and area. Really enjoyed the hotel and great staff/management. Thanks, Marriott! read more

Hotel is new building. Very clean and definitely conviently located near shopping centers plus restaurants. There is free breakfast. And the staff is very friendly. The only flaw is you have to pay for parking. But parking garage is attached to hotel. read more

My Wife and I stayed at this hotel about a month ago and it was a great experience. It's a newer hotel, so it's clean and contemporary. The lobby is cool to hang out and read or have good conversation without it being overly loud. New carpet throughout the hotel and beds are super comfortable. We decided to come back to continue celebrating our wedding anniversary this week. We had a small glitch with my reward points and Matthew, the general Manager of the property, stepped in and took care of it swiftly. He even waived an extra small fee that I was supposed to pay. It was icing on the cake! This is the only hotel I will come to, when we visit Savannah again. read more

I have been staying here this past weekend for a business trip. I travel a lot and see a bunch of hotels. I have to say, this place is awesome! When I come back to Savannah, this will be my hotel of choice. I am staying here because of the location. It's really close to the conference I was working. They booked my hotel for that reason. There were even a few in this area, and I am so glad that I got to stay here at the Fairfield Inn! First off, I walk into my room and everything looks lovely! The decor is both simple and modern. The bed is big, comfy, and firm! I am not the biggest fan of a super firm bed, but this one didn't feel overly firm or soft. I think Goldie Locks would of been a fan ;) The sheets are pretty standard, and I liked the big pillows. I find at some hotels they give you the smallest pillows. Not the (pillow) case here! Secondly, a mini fridge!? Heck yes! A MICROWAVE!? Double score!!! I mean these little bonuses are so nice. Cold water when I want it and to be able to reheat any food I have, I just might stay in this room forever. Third, FREE AWESOME WIFI!!! I was just in another hotel last week that was all swanky and you had to pay buckets of money for wifi. This wifi is so fast I can stream all my shows on Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. PLUS you can set up your account on the TV's which is so awesome. They are really understand the millennials with this place for sure. The air conditioning works super well which is very VERY important to me. The bathroom was FABULOUS! The water pressure in the shower was outstanding!! I don't say that lightly either. The showers are big and thoughtful. There's ledges to place anything you need. What I love is that it makes it super easy to shave your legs. The sink area is also wonderful. There's a GIANT counter space, which is great for us make up lovers who just bring tons and tons of stuff with you! There's also AMAZING lighting in the bathroom which is crucial for fantastic make up application. I also LOVE that the bedside lamps have two outlets on both sides. Smart people here. We need to charge! The staff has been truly wonderful. Ashly welcomed and greeted me every time I have entered the hotel with an awesome smile. The breakfast ladies are so friendly and truly make sure you have everything you need. This place should really be teaching other places how to do customer service! The FREE (that's right I said it) breakfast buffet is super solid. Eggs tasted decent (they didn't seem like they were powdered eggs) they have solid options for everyone. Make your own mini waffles, lots of breads, bagels, pastries, cereals, and oatmeal. They have a big coffee bar with dark, regular, decaf, and hot water. Plus there's hot chocolate packets as well. Overall this place rocks. It's new, fresh, and you'll feel great about choosing this hotel. I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Stayed 3 nights. The hotel breakfast was awful on Sunday. There were about 35 people to be served by one attendant. Needless to say the food was gone as soon as she put it out. Sunday night I went to wash clothes to find they only have 2 washing machines. I put my clothes in and they still had sand on them when they came out. While they were dirty from the beach my washer at home and any other I have ever used could have handled these easily. Once the clothes were in the wash I went to the front desk to get quarters for the dryer to be told they were out. Not sure how you have a hotel with a store inside and don't have quarters. While I was in the wash room I had a visitor....a roach that was over 3 inches long. The staff wasn't friendly and the pool was very small. I won't stay here again. read more
