Had to overnight in Savannah with my family while taking them to a conference and doing a little touristy stuff. Accommodations--6/10. When we arrived, we were thrilled. It was a beautiful place. Very clean looking rooms and excellent space. We lingered around the room after having played tourist in town before going to bed. Ironically, there were three of us mother and two daughters. It was gonna be one person on each bed and one on the sleeper sofa, but my mother insisted that we share the bed so we didn't have to sleep on the sleeper couch. Ironically by the morning and a miserable night of tossing, and turning by all three of us, we all indicated that we had thought at some point in the night about just slipping over to the sleeper sofa to get some sleep. The beds were incredibly firm and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on plywood. Other than that, the bathroom was a very nice size. However, the toilet paper is very awkwardly placed. Meanwhile, the kitchenette is spacious and convenient. We did ask about a late checkout, but were advised that for both early check-in's and late checkouts they charge an additional fee per hour. So check before you book if you're needing flexible arrival or departure times. Service--10/10. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. We didn't have any additional needs to ask anything we brought to the room so we didn't check that aspect. But the room was already perfect and clean when we arrived. There were no weird things about and no issues with the room. Complementary breakfast--10/10. I've stayed in many hotels in Continental breakfasts are pretty standard for what you get. But they do some very creative things with their offerings and they were very welcomed. The food was fresh. The hotel staff working the breakfast area was cheerful and welcoming. A very good breakfast for how much we paid for the room. read more

The GM is Terrible. She is very rude and charged a fee which should have been waived. She would not listen to reason and is so sure of herself. It's as if she switched the motto the customer is always right to the company is always right. Considering switching years of loyalty to Marriott for this terrible experience alone. read more

### My Monday Night Stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Midtown Savannah, Georgia **General Impressions:** Check-in was seamless since I did everything through the app. I parked in the garage, walked to the elevator, and went straight up to my room without issue. The hotel appears to be relatively new construction. **Room Details:** The room is spacious and well-equipped. - **Kitchen Area:** It includes an almost full-sized refrigerator, plates, bowls, utensils, and some kitchenware. There's also a full-sized microwave, full kitchen sink, full-size dishwasher, and a Cuisinart coffee maker with the pull-out disposable filter trays. One of the coffee **cups** had already been opened and put back into the plastic, which was odd because they all normally come sealed in plastic. The disposable filter holders were also already out of their plastic, which made me think they had been used. - **Paper Towel Roll Holder:** A very handy feature that I think every hotel room should have. - **Living/Dining Area:** There's a dining table, multiple counters (including one that serves as a desk with an office chair), and a counter with a TV. The living room area has a pull-out sofa, a floor lamp, a table with a pull-out side table, and an ottoman. - **Bedroom Area:** There's a large counter with a shelf above it, light sconces on the wall by the window and both sides of the bed, and a lamp between the beds. A curtain separates the bedroom from the living/kitchen area. - **Bathroom:** The bathroom was clean, but the toilet paper situation was weird. The roll was almost finished, and instead of being on a sanitary toilet paper hanger, it was sitting by itself on a shelf. That's not something you can easily get out of your head when you have to pick up the roll to use it. **Cleanliness Issues:** While the room itself appeared clean at first glance, there were noticeable problems: - A dirty glass and fork in the kitchen cabinet. - One coffee cup had its plastic wrapping opened, and unwrapped disposable filter holders were in the coffee maker. - Attention to detail was lacking in general areas like drawers, where I found minor debris or dust. --- **Breakfast Review:** I really liked the breakfast setup. They had pre-made items like omelets and sandwiches in a display case, which is something I've never seen before, and I thought it was a nice touch. I tried the **chicken sausage with egg and gouda on brioche**, which was satisfying. The waffle irons (the flip kind) worked great, and the waffles came out very good. The coffee was solid as well. **Cleanliness Under the Buffet:** While getting breakfast, I noticed the drawers underneath the buffet had some small pieces of trash, hair, and dust, which showed a lack of thorough cleaning. **Service Observations:** There were several employees in the breakfast area. I purposely tested to see if any of them would acknowledge me by going up for coffee twice and standing right next to a woman I believe works at the front desk. She never greeted or acknowledged me despite making eye contact, which felt like looking into a statue. There was also an employee behind the breakfast counter and another nearby, but neither spoke to me. **Housekeeping Experience:** Housekeeping staff during checkout was a completely different experience. Mimi, one of the housekeepers, was extremely friendly and had a great personality--she's truly an asset to the company. Another housekeeper I encountered was also very friendly. --- **Final Thoughts:** The room itself is spacious, functional, and well-designed, but the cleanliness issues and lack of staff engagement in the breakfast area bring the overall experience down. The hotel feels like it's just getting by and not putting in the extra effort to shine as a Hilton brand. Housekeeping, on the other hand, stood out with great service during checkout. read more

Stayed at the Home2 Suites while in town for work. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport. The front desk lady was very friendly. Check in was easy and they have snacks, drinks, ice cream to purchase in the lobby. There was an issue with the room keys and the elevator. They wouldn't scan properly to go up to your floor so the receptionist had to scan her badge. The lobby is very spacious with plenty of seating, there's also an outdoor area to chill. Real nice fire place out there as well. My room was huge. It had a nice little kitchenette area. A separate area for lounging too. It was very comfortable. They offer continental breakfast, lots of options and great coffee. read more

Clean hotel and helpful staff. The location is about a 15 minute drive to downtown. The space worked perfectly for us. read more

The General Manager is very rude to her guests. Even though I paid for a nights stay, she followed me around the hotel to and from the gym, as if I was not supposed to be there. I travel quite a bit for work and this is the only Hilton brand I know that charges $50 for a late check-out. Most Hilton locations offer this as a courtesy. Especially, to a Hilton Honors member. Also, being a newer hotel, my room was not that clean. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. read more

Not a bad place to stay. 20 minutes from river street and about 30 from Tybee Island, but much more affordable rates. The hotel staff was friendly. We stayed in a 2 bed suite. A good amount of space over a regular room I think. TV and couch with pull out table. Full size fridge was nice. Wi-Fi was stable. My biggest gripe was that the pool was shutdown for maintenance. It's summer time. Caused us to scramble for other plans. Now if something happened, I understand, but they could have put something in the listing to remove the pool as an amenity and they didn't do that. I am going to ask Hilton for a discount on the rate but haven't called yet. Local staff seemed unwilling and didn't really care other than they braved themselves for me to yell at them and I wouldn't do that. We'll see what corporate says. Overall it was quiet and clean. Breakfast isn't great, but that is every hotel. The sandwiches were ok though and kids and wife loved the waffles. read more

I had a family medical emergency that made me stay in Savannah for an extended amount of time. Home2 Suites really made my stay feel as homely as it could be. The staff was very nice and so helpful during my stay. The rooms are clean and parking is included in your stay. Complimentary breakfast is always a plus as well. Although I didn't utilize the extra amenities, the gym/laundry room is nice. They even have a Peloton bike which I think is amazing. The outside patio is a great place to sit, and they have a grill out there if you wanted to prepare a meal. The room is nice with good space. I love the curtain to separate the couch and beds. It felt almost like two rooms in one. The kitchen area is great and I love the size of the fridge. It really felt like living in a studio apartment. read more

We stayed four days after it's opening. The staff is very nice. The reason for a star deduction is you do hear street noise. For being a brand new building, I wish they installed thicker windows to block the noise. There is covered parking. We used the gas grills to cook food. They have an outdoor patio with a fire place. The breakfast was plentiful- fresh fruit, eggs, breads, cereal, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal. The kitchen is stocked with plates, toaster, cups, silverware, dishwasher, and full size fridge/freezer . You can request a cooktop. The room has a pullout sofa and two desk areas. I liked the moveable desk to eat at. It's a 15 minute drive to the historic area. There is a Publix and fresh market a block away. The neighborhood felt safe. read more

Nope, nope, nope.. dirty filter in air unit, room smelled of mold, mold in shower, hair still on bathroom floor. strange woman calls my room at 5am looking for "Dave"?! What the heck? Hooker hotel? I already had trouble sleeping thinking about what else they missed cleaning. Ugh Was booked for 4 nights checked out first thing the next morning and got another hotel. The little details matter if they are failing on these things what else is being missed/ignored? Horrible set up to check in. You have to go up a floor, then go back down to get your things. Rounded the building 3 times just to try to find where the lobby was. Parking spaces under building tight and hard to get into to read more

I booked two nights at this hotel but had to leave in the middle of my first night because there were bed bugs crawling all over the bed. Management was supposed to call me, but they didn't, so I have to assume they are not preoccupied with this issue. I have pictures and video to show the bed bugs crawling all over the sheets, both big and small. One day after being at that hotel I woke up with nasty bites all over my body. read more

Regular guest at this hotel for over a year for work. Have been telling them of repairs needed in the room that I've been in most of the time and they don't do a thing. Manager is rude and obtuse. They decided to charge me a full night (holiday rates) fee for checking out late due to a booking error even while knowing that I was booked for 25 days straight a couple of days later. There are plenty of other places to stay, suggest people look elsewhere until this manager and desk staff relieved of their positions and learn some costumer loyalty. read more

FILTH! First thing you see when looking up in the lobby is an extremely dirty air filter. Took off couch cushions to pull out bed, that was a mistake in itself it was sooo gross full of food and crumbs. There is NO pull-out bed, false advertisement, complained to front desk that we needed one for a child and they said nothing they can do all rooms were the same. Room was soo old looking terrible smell, run down and filthy, old brown carpets. Dust all over door molding. Bathroom was extremely tiny and dirty walls. For the insane price we paid $250/night you should've done better! They post photos in reviews from when hotel first opened, it looks NOTHING like it. read more

BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES: the hotel itself is up to standard. Clean, good customer service, a nice indoor heated pool. HOWEVER: they sent me a receipt of $351 for two nights and then charged me an EXTRA $179 (totaling $530). The receptionist said it's a "Night Audit Charge" that they have no control over. They said it should be refunded to my account within 7-10 business days. Very inconvenient to say the least. Also, the elevator door shoots out very fast and hit my guest hard. read more

I'm very sad to give this review. Our family only stays with Hilton hotels. We were traveling to Florida and after 13 hours stopped. This hotel was HORRIBLE! We got there and the hotel has a smell. Our first room the door you could just push the door open. Didn't lock. They moved us to another room and this room was so dirty. There was a drink spilled on the end table next to the bed. Was never cleaned. Dust on everything! Floor was not vacuumed. The bathroom had black hair all in the tub and on the toilet seat. I had to scrub the tub down before giving our children a bath. The hotel allows animals and dogs seem to use the elevator as a restroom. Your free breakfast is cereal, and prepackaged muffins. They do have coffee. Pretty sure they don't clean. I did bring this to the front desk attention and all I got was well I'm not going to be here tomorrow, so say something to my manager. I asked for the manager this morning. No manager. The lady that checked me out this morning was not friendly nor was the lady that worked the front desk last night. read more

This was the host hotel for a wedding, and it was a mistake. The room was never cleaned during a 3 night stay, and the bathtub stayed visibly dirty from the drain not working properly. I asked for maintenance that never came. Best thing about the hotel were the late night front desk folks who were nice and helpful, and the pillows on the bed. Otherwise, stay someplace else. read more

I only had one night as I made my way to my ultimate destination. I found everything about this place to be perfect: protected parking, nicely decorated rooms, very clean and modern, and professional and friendly staff. What I really liked about this hotel is the gas grill on the outdoor patio. There is a grocery store very close and I cooked my salmon on the grill. Perfect! The fitness center was just right as well, Great place to stay for a night or more. read more

Location wasn't far from downtown Savannah and still close to many things. The hotel was nice and clean, good size (king room suite). The lady at the desk (wish I captured her name) service was outstanding. I called ahead of time to let them know that we were celebrating my wife's 40th birthday and to see what type of packages they had available. They didn't have anything available, however they had a bag of snacks and drinks in the room with a card that the employees signed wishing her a happy birthday. That was pretty nice. Friendly staff, safe and clean at a great location. read more

My husband and I were at this hotel last Sunday through Thursday. They charged us a fee that wasn't even mentioned on their website for administration fee or whatever kind of fee that they're always charged. There's always a fee for something so we ended up paying $95 and they told us we would get this money back once we checked out we checked out of the hotel. It is now Tuesday of the following week, and still haven't received a refund. My husband saw it pending in his account for a couple days. The next day the pending amount was gone. He called and spoke to the front desk to a manager. The first time he called. Some person said that they would give the manager, the message and have them call back well lo and behold of course you know I don't know if she got the message, but she did not call back so my husband called up there to speak with her. She tried to brush him off and saying it was on the receipt which it was not on the receipt. He repeatedly asked her questions as to why The amount was showing and then why was it taken away? I would not stay at this establishment because I'm making think that it was credit card fraud that's the only thing that I can think of he has actually turned the hotel into his bank for credit card fraud and theft. The people at the front desk were rude And they brushed him off. They didn't want to give me the name of the general manager when I call to speak with them, they said they didn't know who it was and they didn't have a phone number for this person so we're getting the runaround. They told us to call back tomorrow for another runaround event, this is not cool. You have paying customers that come to your hotel trusting you with their money and this is what you do. Please stay away from this hotel reported this incident toBhumika Patel, who is actually the general manager who I found out online and I have yet to hear from her yet. My star rating for this hotel is a zero but of course they won't let you do that on here zero stay away from this hotel. read more

I was staying at this hotel for work and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Staff was super friendly and the continental breakfast was great! I've stayed at about a dozen different Home2's and smoking was allowed at all locations by the fire pits adjacent to the lobbies. No non-smoking sign was posted at this location or any other location. I was threatened by the lead manger that the cops would be called. The manager would not provide their manager's name and number and to call corporate. She indicated a designated smoking area exited. It was in the parking lot with a hard, wooden backless bench. Ridiculous. I called corporate. 28 minute hold time when selecting option to register complaint! Instead Yelp'ing instead. read more

I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, and every other time, it was lovely. But this time, I have a few major complaints. When I checked into my room, there was no hand soap so I was forced to use the wonderful dish soap that they provided to wash my hands. Now, I don't know how well you know the hotel version of Dawn, but it's not the most gentle on the skin. "A drop of dawn and grease is gone," and boy is that slogan accurate. Not only did it rid my hand of grease, but it also got rid of every drop of moisture my hand previously had. My hand is so dry and cracked from one use that if I were to take a close up picture of my hand, it would be impossible to distinguish it from the Sahara desert. But other than that, it's a great hotel, would definitely recommend. :) read more

We recently stayed at this hotel for a short overnight visit to Savannah. We were not impressed with the service. The hotel is very clean and decor is great. The front desk personnel were nice but did little to accommodate our complaints. First, our suite had two towels, no washcloths or hand towels. Our shower, which has soap dispensers (good idea) but they were all empty. We had to call down twice for both and were asked to meet at the elevator to pick them up. We did not pay for parking but upon arrival back to the hotel from our evening out there were NO parking spaces available. How do you have a hotel where not every guest can park? When we asked at the desk they told us to park in the hotel next to them. That hotel was behind them and the only open spaces were in the rear. Had I been alone I would not have felt safe. When we complained and asked that a manager contact us, no one ever did. I am a Hilton Honors member and feel that this hotel is one I would not use again if I return to Savannah. read more

I'm a Hilton Honors Diamonds member but they don't respect you, don't use your points. I've wasted 120,000. Nice hotel but staff can use an upgrade, I'm mobility handicap asked for a Mobility room was told they had them and instead was given a room for people who have a hearing problem. the telephone in the room does not work no one knows how to fix it or the the lights. They say that you're only entitled to one water and snack upon arrival every other Hilton I stayed at that they gave you every day . because you use your points or you paid for every day , I have never been denied and all the years I've been to Hilton honors remember especially diamond, very disappointed staff doesn't care and breakfast is not worth it. The room itself is really nice. New and well designed and furnished. The hotel however is very new and still working out a lot of kinks. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed and didn't acknowledge me for about 5 minutes while I stood in front of her desk. When she finally did, she just asked my name and handed me the key. Upstairs, there was a flood and the carpet in the hallways was all torn up and the hallway was lined with huge blowers to dub it up. They were very noisy even in the room - you could barely hear the tv. The contractors working on the water damage were working in the halls without masks. There were also guests in the lobby and public areas with no masks and the employees didn't tell them to put one on. There were sanitizer stations all over the place but they were empty. When the blowers stopped, you could hear dogs barking in the next room all evening and the cleaning staff banging doors and shouting to each other in the hallway at 8pm. The kitchen area was a plus, but again needs some attention. The dishwasher doesn't work. They give you liquid dish soap but no sponge or dish towel. Little details that I'm sure will be worked out as they get more experience. read more

I stayed at this location for a week. NOT impressed. This hotel is pet friendly, so if you don't mind the smell of dried urine and picked up poop don't stay here. Staff is hit or miss. My room had dog hair all over. The suite provided plates and kitchen utensils that were dirty. The first night I noticed the beds weren't even made correctly! Mattress pad sheet was apparently placed as a blanket? The only plus is that parking was free. read more

Booked several rooms at this hotel in advance for our family reunion trip this past weekend. Upon arrival - we did our due diligence of spraying lysol for added COVID-19 protection eventhough the room had the 'clean room tape' across the doors - FALSE. We found one room not cleaned - dishes and beds not made; one room with semen stains on sheets; one room with blood stains on sheets; hair inside the towels - wasn't able to get extra towels as they didn't have any cleaned; counters had sticky stains; hair in the bathrooms; in one of the rooms the shower leaked onto floor and all rooms had roaches! Pictures and videos were taken. The indoor pool and outside patio deck was the only safe space. For our inconvenience - instead of compensating us - we had the pleasure of having the hotel manager change out the bedding in the rooms in the most sarcastic way - how ironic - like she was doing us a favor by fixing the problem! Wow - will NEVER stay at a Home2Suites again nor do I recommend anyone else that likes to be germ free - especially this location! Based on the reviews I read - it appears this manager sucks and these problems occur more often than we should have to deal with. read more
