The Drayton Hotel remains one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. It is also one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The staff is so so welcoming and helpful. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous as is the restaurant/bar attached to it. I had a complimentary breakfast for each night at the restaurant attached and it was absolutely delicious. Amazing coffee and a few great options to eat. I also visited their rooftop for drinks and a snack and it was so lovely. The bartenders were great and so were the drinks along with the views of Savannah. Finally the door. Oh, how lovely it was! I absolutely loved the decor. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was so spacious. The floors were a little dirty with crumbs and hair but honestly it didn't take away from how great the room was. You have amazing snacks and a fridge full of drinks to choose from as well. The location is lovely, very walkable. I thought maybe it would be too loud since it was next to a main road but fear not, it was super quiet! I can't wait to visit Savannah again and stay here!

Definitely adding this to the list of places to stay in Savannah. The lobby had a great boutique vibe and is well located within walking distance of commonly toured places. I only experienced their rooftop bar. It had a rich east coast beach look and feel with a great rooftop view of the river and the town hall. They had a great musician that brought the guest together.

We loved the Drayton! From the moment we walked in, it had an amazing vibe, the lobby is a great place to sit and have coffee or read or just unwind and relax. our room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The mini fridge with drinks and snacks was perfect. We asked for extra blankets stepped out to eat and when we returned we had a huge cozy comforter waiting. We had breakfast from the hotel restaurant daily in our room and coffee from the on-site coffee shop. Drinks at the rooftop bar and went down to the speakeasy bar in the basement it was closed but looked really nice The staff is very friendly and helpful. 100% would stay here if we return to Savannah and totally recommend the this hotel if you are staying in Savannah

We had a wonderful night at this hotel. From this historic building to their staff and their breakfast:) . Ambience is wonderful too :) I would recommend this hotel and we are pretty sure we are coming to this place whenever we are this area.

Jacob was the best!! My fiancé and I were visiting from out of town and were so wowed by the drinks he made- we came back the next two days! He was so friendly and we could have hung out at the bar with him all night! This drink also changed my life it was so good. I also love the vibes of this rooftop- it's so chill but beautiful and modern. 10/10 for us

Overall, I would not come again. gorgeous interior design and lovely staff however not very accommodating. we requested extra blankets because the double beds were so small we could hardly fit and our request was shut down throughly. small room for the high price anddddd our rooms were not cleaned!!! however the hotel does have a lot of special touches for example I came to celebrate my birthday and someone brought up to the room champagne and cake and a hand written letter which was very thoughtful. I recommend this for a girls trip or younger adults who are coming to barhop bc the location is primeeeeee. but if you're looking for a very comfortable stay that is relaxing this is not it because the wooden floors make it very noisy. ps. does any one else experience damp bedding, carpet, rug at hotels?! this is like the 2nd time it's happened to me n it's gross n uncomfy to sleep and walk on!!!! UPDATE: the hotel manager had called and was veryyy sweet about the inconveniences and offered accommodations, i think this was more of a situational issue!!!

On our way down to Florida to visit family, my wife and I wanted to stop in Savannah for one night. We brought our two small dogs with us and everywhere we have stayed in Savannah before that were dog friendly, have been terrible. So we decided to pay the extra money and book a night at The Drayton. And so worth it! The hotel is beautiful. It's designed well, has a swanky feel and is surrounded by gorgeous prints and greenery. There's a little coffee shop and a full service restaurant on the first level. The rooftop bar is indoors but they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor space is private and again great for bringing your well behaved pups! I booked in advance online and had to call them multiple times to ask questions and get clarification. They were so incredibly patient with me. Upon arrival, they were really helpful with bringing our luggage up and even brought up additional things we needed. We also asked them to microwave our homemade dog food, and bless their hearts - I could tell they were annoyed but did it nonetheless. While our room was small, it was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was clean except for you could tell they hadn't cleaned the floors in awhile. I had to wipe some water that spilled and the whole napkin was black. Otherwise, great. Comfortable and quality linens and bed. Checking out was easy breezy. Valet parking is available, and hard to find. It's right in the alley of the hotel and no clear signs. I suggest calling them upon arrival to send someone to meet you outside. Definitely going to be our go-to hotel when we are in town!

We loved this place so much we came back for dinner!!! We only came here for the rooftop bar but ended up walking around the hotel and checking everything out. The rooftop was very nice and cozy and had plenty of seating. I was too focused on making new friends that I couldn't even remember what I ordered to drink. I do remember the view was very beautiful and we enjoyed our time very much so.

This is a review strictly of the rooftop bar. I haven't stayed at the hotel overnight yet. The lobby of the new Drayton Hotel is well done, warm and inviting. It smells almost as good as the Alida and is designed with a sophisticated retro vibe. We took the lobby up to the roof for a cocktail and was impressed by the decor and cleanliness of the lobby, hallway and elevators. The rooftop was deserted, but that didn't stop the bartender from making us feel right at home. He was very professional, personable and proud of the space. We didn't order any speciality cocktails, but the drinks were well made and potent, albeit a bit pricy. The rooftop has a nice wraparound area, with a view of the river and city hall. The view is somewhat obstructed by a high barrier wall around the outdoor area. Seating was arranged in various configurations with classy wicker furniture. The seating could be a touch more comfortable with some cushions. The outdoor area would benefit from some nicer lighting, a fire pit or two and maybe some heaters. Some classy live music would also be welcomed. The hotel just opened so I am sure they will tweak the space in the coming weeks. All in all, the Drayton is a positive addition to the bay st corridor. I look forward to trying some of their food and seeing how the put the excellent rooftop area to use.

This place is class all the way! We had to park in the parking garage across the street and the bellhop rolled a cart over to get our luggage and bring it up to our room. The hotel is GORGEOUS! The check-in desk is beautifully decorated with lots of plants and the lobby is eccentric, funky and comfortable. The staff are amazing. Very personable, overly accommodating, and very helpful in suggesting different restaurants and shops to visit. The rooftop bar was empty but the bartender was ready to serve. We were on our way to dinner so we just wanted to check it out but it's a beautiful, serene place to relax and have a cocktail. Our room was on the small side but very chic and tastefully decorated, very up-to-date. We took the time to have a cocktail in our room and sit on the large window seat looking out over Fitzroy's next door. It's perfectly located. Everything you want is within walking distance. We can't wait to go back.

In town to price out hotel room blocks and ceremony space for our upcoming wedding. We were in town on a Sunday so most sales staff were off and back on Monday, which is understandable. Upon visiting the Drayton we were expecting the same response as the other hotels we visited earlier. The front desk attendant at The Drayton went out of her way to show us what she could and made sure to get the GM to show us around since the sales team was also not available. This was very nice of her and Nikolai the GM was very accommodating and informative about their establishment. The hotel is fairly new and remodelled. They did an amazing job in the redesign with a West Indies meets retro 20s vibe. The rooms and event spaces were beautiful and meticulously designed down to every little detail. I definitely would recommend a stay and possible event destination.

Beautiful mini luxury hotel in the old historic district. Parking is only as good as their valet service ($42 per night) as we had to drive around the block several times before figuring out that street parking is impossible and the only other option is the public parking across the street. Other than that the place is a gem of a clean pretty design hotel with a live jazz dining room (French seafood....) Breakfast is minimal but good. They have a mini fine quality coffee bar and serve a selection of soft drinks and mineral waters along with fresh baked pastries (excellent pecan banana nut bread and cranberry muffins) - rooms are small but tastefully apportioned and the most comfortable pillows I've ever enjoyed in a hotel..... and then the Southern Savannah hospitality- which cannot be outmatched. Each and every member of staff from Justin and Cory (front desk) and Peter and Steel (valets) went out of their way to accommodate and help with a respectful cheerful attitude - I'd definitely return.

The Gnocchi- it had crab and lobster in it, I was in heaven

Not only is this the dreamiest hotel I've ever been too, but the service was incredible! Reesha was amazing and so accommodating! The food here is wonderful, the drinks are unique, and needless to say I am a fan! I will be coming back here soon!

Most concerning was that one elevator was out of service for the entire hotel during both visits, creating long waits and inconvenience throughout the stay with the one remaining elevator. This single elevator was used by the staff as well. The hotel itself felt poorly maintained. The carpet in the hallways and rooms appeared dirty, and there was a persistent musty smell that made the property feel old and neglected. The room also did not include coffee, which is a basic amenity most travelers expect from a hotel in this price range. They did offer 2 automatic coffee machines in the lobby area which was nice but inconvenient. The breakfast was another issue. It was a buffet arrangement. The selection was very limited, and nearly everything offered consisted of highly processed food items with little variety or freshness. The second visit had fewer items than the first. Breakfast is included in the room rate so obviously the hotel is looking to find the cheapest way out. It was very disappointing. What made the experience even more frustrating was the valet parking situation. The hotel charges $48 per night for valet parking, yet there is a city parking lot immediately next door charging only about $10-14 per night. The markup felt excessive and unnecessary. The only positive part of our stay was the staff. The employees were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful, and they clearly did their best to work around the flaws in the hotel's systems and maintenance issues. Unfortunately, good service alone could not make up for the overall condition and value of the property. We will not be staying here again. We advise others to do the same. There are several other hotels in this area with the same prime location.

The hotel is in a convenient spot with plenty to do nearby; we were able to walk to the riverfront and explore the Christmas market, which was a nice touch during our stay. It overlooked the terrace, which had a pleasant pool area and a fire pit, and the hotel provided fun extras like s'mores kits in the evening, which added a nice, cozy element to the stay. Room also included some complimentary snacks and Coke products, which was nice. One downside was parking--valet is expensive, and the suggested parking deck was full for most of our stay. This hotel has long term leases on almost all of level P3 of the Whittaker Street Parking Garage…read more Other private businesses with long term leases on spots mark the spots to inform people not to lark. Andaz Savannah Hyatt does not post signs nor mark the spots nor have any gate or signs to know what part of the garage they leased. Instead have sensors in the unmarked spots and tow without bothering to post any sign. Completely predatory. Sensors cost more than signs. They should put up signs. This is a very unethical dirty hotel that is doing harm to the city and the community. I went to a conference in Savannah, and carpooled with a coworker. We had gone to park at the Whittaker Street Parking Garage. On level P3, we went through an open gate to get in, and then needed a swipe card to get out. Half that floor is marked with "reserved for" signs, hanging from the ceiling and on the wall and concrete support columns by each parking spot. Those were something like reserved for a condo or something, not Andaz. Half is not marked at all. This is like a line down the middle half. The south part of the garage was marked; the north part was not. Line down the middle like 2 sections. Because the half that was marked said towing, my coworker had stayed in the car, and I went to go find the parking attendant to confirm we were parked in a public paid spot. On the street level, the security for Savannah said that where we were parked was OK, and that all reserved spots have to be marked. She told me where to find the parking attendant. The parking attendant said that all reserved spots are marked, and that unmarked spots are for the public paid parking. I went back to the car to tell my coworker that we were good to go. Well, it had taken me easily 20 minutes due to there is one single attendant. Lucky us, because when I got back, an Andaz Savannah Hyatt employee was there with my coworker saying he would towed. Apparently, rather than put up signs in their reserved spots, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt puts sensors pointed at each spot to detect a car, and then orders a tow. A sensor has to cost more than a sign. That's so dirty and immoral to not post a sign, and then to tow people. The two employees of the city and of the parking garage said that that was a public paid spot based on there not being any posted signs that it was reserved. Andaz Savannah Hyatt just cannot be bothered to communicate. They will tow, bill for the tow, mess up transmission on a four wheel drive, and stick that whole mess of theirs onto regular people. Because they can't be bother to even post a sign. Also to leave, we had to drive out an "in" gate, which apparently they leave the "in" gate permanently up for cars to drive through, then have a billing "out" gate that you have to swipe the card and be billed to leave. Like a trap. No signs when you come in, and no signs on their entire half of the P3 level. I am certain what they are doing is illegal, to tow without having any posted signs at all on their half of the garage. When I searched, Georgia law requires 12x18 inch no parking signs or a sign at the gate. Andaz Savannah Hyatt had a permanently open gate for entrance, closed gate for exit, and absolutely no signs on what the employee of Andaz said was the Andaz parking. And said he would have towed if my coworker weren't there in the car. Well, it's travelers and tourists, so Andaz Savannah Hyatt can get away with it, because they rob from people who don't live in the city. They break the law, and harm the community. This hotel is doing dirty. What else are they doing. Nope, nope, nope. Badly run and cannot be trusted. Even if you are not a customer, the Andaz Savannah Hyatt will harm you just for being nearby.

I would think that quiet hours for the pool would be 9 PM, but apparently they aren't. I believe they are 10 PM. There was a group of what appeared to be teenagers screaming nonstop for about three hours straight. I don't know, if I was staff at a hotel, I would probably tell them to keep it down after 8 PM, but that's just me. It sounds like the rooms on the other side of the hotel are really noisy as well, so I guess moving and wouldn't have done much. The valet took a really long time in the morning. I wouldn't have minded that if they would have told us in the beginning, but when you check in, they tell you to give them five minutes to retrieve your vehicle. It took the guy 20 minutes to respond to my request (I was first in the queue) and I had to go walk down and grab the car myself because I needed to leave immediately. It sounds like he was managing two properties, so not his fault. When not knowing where the valet was, the front desk wasn't helpful. She kind of dismissed the issue. She did end up calling him, but she didn't act like she cared about our situation at all in the beginning. It actually prompted us to take action and another gentleman waiting for his car went and looked in the valet garage to see if somebody was even there because he was having the same issues. Anyways, my first and last time staying at this hotel. Too many other options in the area. I really need a reliable valet, unfortunately.

I highly recommend staying at the Marshall House if you're looking for a comfortable stay in the perfect walkable location!

WONDERFUL! Despite being an old hotel, it is very well appointed and was the cleanest hotel and…read moreroom we have stayed in. There wasn't a speck of dust or 1 hair anywhere in the room. The room was lovely and I especially liked the original wood floors throughout. The folks at the front desk were also wonderful. I asked for extra shampoo and conditioner and they were brought up right away, unlike all other hotels where we have stayed who seem to take hours to fulfill requests like this one. As far as hauntings go, the only thing we experienced was a light knocking within the room, and it was just one time. Haunting or not, we would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Savannah.

Hotel bardo was phenomenal and I would stay here every time I come back to Savannah!…read more Location: wonderful! It is just off of Forsyth park and incredibly walkable. I traveled with my grandfather and they have a complimentary car that took us to the museum of art on a hot day. Rooms: the rooms are gorgeously designed and spacious. Fully stocked mini bar and my view overlooked the pool. Service: The hotel service is wonderful. The restaurants get a lot of local traffic which means the service can get slow. The food is exceptional. The concierge is helpful.

But since then, it seems like no one's paid attention to the details that actually make a stay feel 5-star. We stayed just one night and noticed several things that made the experience feel less than premium: * Curtain was literally held together with paper clips * Bathroom sink barely drained * No "do not disturb" hanger for the door, had to request one * Vacuuming started in the hallway at 7:15am * Gym had beautiful treadmills with screens and free earbuds -- but the internet was down, so none of t worked To their credit, they did offer to send someone to fix the sink... but on a one-night stay, why would I want to spend part of it with someone working on the pipes in my bathroom? That's something that should be checked before a guest ever walks into the room. There were some nice touches: a complimentary car service, wooden room keys, a convenient texting system, and solid amenities (though we didn't use many of them). That said, I couldn't help but feel like we were placed in a neglected room -- possibly because the stay was part of an Amex Platinum perk. And honestly, if I'd paid $275-$400+ out of pocket for this room, I'd be much more upset. Not trying to be petty -- but let's be real: at a true 5-star hotel, I expect a seamless experience where my basic needs are handled without me having to ask. Hotel Bardo, unfortunately, missed that mark.
