Excellent Roofing Job at a Great Price…read more I highly recommend Orange General Contracting. I got estimates from six different roofing contractors, and Orange General Contracting gave me the best price while still providing everything I wanted in a new roof. They replaced my entire roof in just one day, starting around 7:00 AM and working until about 7:30 PM. The crew worked hard all day and did an excellent job from start to finish. The new roof looks great, and I was especially impressed with the cleanup afterward. They cleaned the property, ran magnets for nails, and hauled away all the old roofing materials. Best price out of six contractors, excellent workmanship, fast installation, and great cleanup. I would definitely recommend Orange General Contracting to anyone needing a new roof.

We asked for an estimate and he said it would take him a few days but he'd be able to get it to us in a week or a week and a half. The next morning by 9 am I was notified an installer was on his way. I got a verbal quote while Caesar was there and an emailed quote later that day with a follow up call. Service was performed by 1 the next day and completed in just over an hour. Caesar did a great job and was clued into exactly how I wanted the project to look. They even had the same color as my taupe 25 year old gutters. Quick, professional service with great follow up. Also the best price compared to others.

But they…read moretore the heck out of the plank they made a cut through with a multi tool- scratching and marring the area all around their ragged, poor quality cut. Really shoddy work and just terrible. They also repitched the gutters to the extreme just dropping the ends to make quick work of it and so they look terrible. They then left out gutter wedges that I then had to call them about and convince them to come back out to put back in. They said via phone I wasn't missing any but I was standing under my gutters at the time and looking up at the gutters and could see them missing. The crew also left garbage from the project around my house. The scrap from cutting out the gutters for downspouts was just left on the ground, the park of the deck they cut out they just dropped on the ground. Really really poor quality work overall.

In short the work crew broke an exterior glass door pane to a sliding glass door. Accidents happen, poor communication and lack of follow up shouldn't. Home Genius blamed the sub and vice versa. Eventually the glass was replaced by the sub contractors father (yes seriously). After replacement it was foggy and dirty inside. After six calls to customer care we received a call back from Raleigh manager who of course blamed the sub and "would look into it". We got into contact via text only with our job lead as he has no voice mail. It was determined new glass would be placed back in upon our return from vacation out of state. To our surprise our home camera systems picks up somebody going into our backyard with a ladder and presumably working on the glass with no appointment, no permission and no contact with home genius. A text to the job lead to confirm was left unanswered. Likewise when the Raleigh office manager was asked for information regarding an appeal process, he asked if we would drop our 2 star google review first instead of simply meeting our request and providing info for am appeal. He still has not responded with info requested or followed up in any manner to see if our damaged property was replaced etc. The second glass replaced while we were not home but an unknown party is worse then the first replacement glass job and here we sit with zero assistance or communication from Home Genius. Customer Care reps have all been nice and courteous all 7 times we have called them. Just don't take the risk with other options available.

This company engages in spurious HIGH PRESSURE sales tactics. The "inspection" (he didn't even go…read moreon the roof) and estimate, promised to be 90 minutes, but actually lasted over 3 hours. I REPEATEDLY told the sales rep that I would not sign any contract until I had more quotes, yet he kept insisting. "This price is only good for today." "Let me talk to my supervisor to see if I can get you a better deal." In the end, he promised to send me a quote for later review, but then ghosted me. These tactics are insulting. After he left I looked at their Better Business Bureau website, and saw similar complaints. I do not recommend doing business with Home Genius Exteriors.

They correctly identified that my roof had been damaged by hail roughly 11 months ago, and the USAA adjuster readily agreed. Replacing the roof was accomplished in a manner I did not think possible in any line of business: they CONSISTENTLY did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and in a manner that exceeded what I expected. After seeing how they work, how they stay in touch, how they show up, and how they are committed to doing things well and fairly, I can 100% recommend them. In fact, I wish I could award more stars because they deserved them. I particularly want to thank Drane, Ryan, and Bertin for their exceptional commitment to excellence and teamwork. Well done!!!
