Really shoddy work and just terrible. They also repitched the gutters to the extreme just dropping the ends to make quick work of it and so they look terrible. They then left out gutter wedges that I then had to call them about and convince them to come back out to put back in. They said via phone I wasn't missing any but I was standing under my gutters at the time and looking up at the gutters and could see them missing. The crew also left garbage from the project around my house. The scrap from cutting out the gutters for downspouts was just left on the ground, the park of the deck they cut out they just dropped on the ground. Really really poor quality work overall.

I got estimates from six different roofing contractors, and Orange General Contracting gave me the best price while still providing everything I wanted in a new roof. They replaced my entire roof in just one day, starting around 7:00 AM and working until about 7:30 PM. The crew worked hard all day and did an excellent job from start to finish. The new roof looks great, and I was especially impressed with the cleanup afterward. They cleaned the property, ran magnets for nails, and hauled away all the old roofing materials. Best price out of six contractors, excellent workmanship, fast installation, and great cleanup. I would definitely recommend Orange General Contracting to anyone needing a new roof.

Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." I recently had a leak and had a roofing repairman come and fix it and inspect my roof. He found numerous examples of shoddy workmanship, including shingles installed crooked, exposed nails, improper flashing, incorrectly installed ridge caps, etc, etc, etc. I would never hire these guys again. Wish I could give them negative stars. Update 11/21/24: Apparently Cristian Romero is not very happy with my review and claims he never did any work for me. But I wrote a check for my roofing job to "Romero Construction" on Angier Ave in Durham, NC. Which is also where Modern Exteriors used to be located. It was the same business just going by different names. Kind of clever huh. Note that the other review of this business on Yelp called them "Romero Construction" and Cristian Romero didn't have any problems with that review. I'll be happy to update my review with a positive rating as soon as these guys come back and fix their poor work or give me my money back.

We pointed out the black mold in the garage, and Barry, the project manager said he'd stop by in a week or so to spray the black mold. We never heard from him again. After 2 years of leaking we have black mold on two floors, damaged wood, drywall sheets and insulation. This company has refused to take responsibility to repair the black mold problem, although Barry did acknowledge the construction error they made which has been fixed. Do not trust this company. They cannot be trusted to take care if your home.
