Wow, I have never been talked to like I have with Marquette. We rented at Axis in Westmont for 7 months and the rude emails and calls from both were unbelievable. The latest letter telling us we had to pay in 30 days or go to collections. I have never been late, paid everything I was billed for, cleaned the apartment above and beyond and to receive an email not even addressing us by name but to state pay up or collections on utilities not yet invoiced was crazy. Now for the review of apartment. TOO HOT even tho the thermostat was turned down to zero. Ants like crazy, coming from under the floor in the whole place. Never had cold water, was always above warm to hot. We moved in during the winter so too hot was too much. Learn some customer service please. Niceness goes a long way. read more

Honestly my time at Forest Pointe has been rough. I'm not one to normally leave negative reviews, but I really think these are things people should hear before moving into this apartment. 1.) They will tell you garages are $125 a month. But what they won't tell you before you were to sign is that you will be sharing the "individual" garage unit with other residents... yes you read that right. Also if you weren't to sign because you toured prior but didn't sign anything.. they will add the cost to your rent for just inquiring. After they charge you and you voice that you're rent for the month is messed up because of this. It will take them two weeks to fix and they will treat you like it's your fault. 2.) I've been in multiple calls, emails, and work orders for our laundry unit. A small load takes four cycles to dry. That's right a small load takes approximately six hours to dry. 3.) what they are advertising on the website is not all of the units. Some are extremely outdated. So please make sure to do an in person tour of the actual apartment you are signing for. 4.) Forest Pointe doesn't actually support military. Prior to Marquette taking over, the other rental company was offering military discount and Marquette doesn't want to stay true to that for the military residents that have been here. 5.) I've been here barely 2 years and they have gone up over $400 in rent a month for what they want on the new lease. There have been no actual updated amenities. 6.) right now they are "updating amenities" they have had their construction equipment for this parked in their "ample parking spaces" for almost a month now...which means you will be parking pretty far from where you actually live. 7.) you can hear rats eating wires in the attic. And yes I have seen them in the building. 8.) the buildings are also not handicap friendly not just because of the lack of parking now... but also there is no elevators in the building. The buildings have no air conditioning only each unit meaning you will have to run your a/c or heat all the time. 9.) they are now charging water for the whole property to your rent every month. Meaning how much ever the complex uses is divided by residents. Since this I'm now paying nearly $70 more a month for water. read more

I have been a resident at Carol Stream Crossing Apts for 4 years and counting and just wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the management and staff at Carol Stream Crossing. Becky and her team, including Melissa and Wendell, have always been very responsive and supportive to any and all concerns, whether for my unit or the complex in general. This is a very well-maintained complex with great attention to details. They are very resident focused and always follow through. I have nothing but praise for the great job that they do and look forward to continuing the mutually beneficial relationship. I am a Realtor, I went with my client to Tiburon Apartment, we filled out the Lease Application at their own office. the sales officer Richard said I would get 100%. A month later, I went to complain my commission, they said they had already paid for another company. And that they would not pay another commission. I did everything to get my commission paid, but I didn't receive it. I think the company they paid the commission, was linked to them as well. read more

I am writing this now as I am planning to leave my apartment to check into a hotel. The temperature in my apartment is above 90 degrees. It has been this way for 3 days. There is no sense of urgency on the part of management to fix anything at this complex. Currently feeding my small dog pieces of ice so she doesn't go into heat exhaustion. This company would rather let you roast in your unit before spending additional funds to fix genuine safety issues. My experience has been horrible since I first moved in three years ago. I continued to stay due to the low rent costs. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The first unit I was in had severe flooding issues and my living room window would leak during any rainstorm. Management actually requested I sleep in my living room so they could "perform repairs." By the way my living room was flooded too. I'm willing to bet that unit is still experiencing flooding issues...Ultimately I moved into a different unit after having to March down to the leasing office and demand a different apartment. When I moved into the new apartment both toilets were leaking from the base. Luckily those were replaced immediately. Since that time, I have regularly had to wait WEEKS for necessary repairs to be completed. On two separate occasions my washing machine was full of standing water and the office neglected to fix it for over two weeks. Yes, my washing machine ended up having mold in it. And no, the office didn't clean it. I currently have water damage on my bedroom ceiling. I was told this would be fixed last week, of course it is still present. Now, I am slow roasting in my apartment. The leasing Office claims they are working to turn on the AC in the building but has offered no temporary solution for tenants beyond advising us to remain hydrated and eat popsicles. Let's hope that the 5th floor tenants survive this problem. People have small children, pets, and elderly relatives in these buildings (all high risk groups for heat stroke and exhaustion). read more

When looking for an apartment, the first thing I do is make sure it's not a property of Marquette Management. I lived at HighPoint Apartments in Romeoville, IL. It was the worst experience of my life! The buildings looked nice, but after moving in, everything started falling apart in the unit; the walls were paper thin, the building wasn't insulated (something they really wouldn't care about or fix since you pay all your utilities on top of your $1000 rent). They nickel and dime you for everything. You're charged to use the pool, you have to pay $5 just to receive your BILL every month, etc. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It would be cheaper to pay the mortgage on a $200,000 house every month than to live at any Marquette managed property. When I moved out, I left my unit in better condition than it was in when I moved into it, but I was still shocked that I got my security deposit back. I thought for sure they were going to try to get their greedy hands on it somehow, even though I did a walk-through... I probably took over 500 pictures of that unit before I turned the keys over I was that prepared for them to try. My experiences with the staff weren't very good either. They were overly cheerful to the point that you knew they were just being phoney, which especially became clear when you'd try to address a problem with them. Any time I had an issue, their attitudes would drastically change to the point where I would be left speechless. Anyways, not sure if my point here is coming through, but I'm BEYOND HAPPY I'm out of there and away from Marquette, never ever again! read more

This management company is doing an amazing job keeping the entire property inside and out looking great. The interior of the hallways and entrances are always clean and smells fresh in the elevators. The grounds are immaculate with thick green grass and shrubs all about. Heck even the underground garage area is clean with new parking lines painted. Laundry rooms were updated with new washer and dryers and it's even air conditioned in the laundry room. New tile outside all the elevators and painting and touch ups throughout the apartment. Kudos should also go out to the Apartments office staff for always being so nice and helpful when you have questions. Great Job!! read more

Where do I even begin, let's just start with if I could give no stars here I would. I moved into the property 4 years ago, and what a nightmare that has been. My first night here I turned my oven on and there swarmed all the roaches! I immediately called the office and the lady's response was "oh well we can call pest control to come out next month". Really?? This is how we are starting off... for a month I dealt with roaches, bought my own traps and spray. Then their mediocre pest control comes out and hardly sprays. What a joke. Becky the "property manager" is never in the office. The staff is lazy and incompetent. Besides Wendell and Kesha, they're the only two who know how to do anything around that place. Let's not forget the time they decided to just patch and paint over the mold in my bathroom! Nothing ever properly gets fixed in this place. Our ceiling pours water when the upstairs turns on the sink or AC. Currently looking at my ceiling leak as I type this. Pest control came out for a mandatory inspection yesterday, was told everything looked great. Funny, I find a roach under my sink. I'll attach a pic ;) water is always shut off without notice. Heaters break conveniently every winter. We have squirrels living in our AC unit but that's fine. Dog shit all over the yards along with garbage. Dumpsters always over flowing, hallways smell like cigarettes and urine. Avoid this place at all costs! Not worth the money or time spent! Becky- save yourself from even responding to this review. I've had good luck with Marquette so far. One quick qualifier: There have been a couple of minor complaints that I'd like to voice here, but please keep in mind when reading them that the good far, FAR outweighs the bad. It's literally like living at a resort here at Skyridge Club. So far, I really love it. Cons: That being said, my first complaint is basically the fact that I found a notice taped to my door after a long day dealing with work that suggested that I needed to secure renter's insurance within the next three days (the implication was clear) even though not only had I already secured renter's insurance (duh, you can't move in to an upscale condo without renter's insurance), but they already had it on file and had done for quite some time. The other incident was an odd circular series of complaints about a mysterious "smell" that I didn't really want any part of that for some reason I was included in even though I was recovering from surgery and about to leave town to take care of some business within hours of whatever the heck happened (which management knew) and therefore, I felt that it wasn't really my concern. If someone is causing intolerable noise or harming a human or animal, I'm more than happy to help figure out the deets, but when it comes to smells that are gone by the time I receive a call about them? Not my problem or concern. I say live and let live. I felt like if they knew the upstairs neighbors (who are super nice by the way) smoked-which they do-and there was a smell-ostensibly of smoke or burning or something like that in the building, that in fact apparently dissipated by the time they made the call to me (really, why bother unless it's a recurring issue, right? That'd be my thinking--unless your aim is to piss off your tenants who are paying upwards of $1300 a month to live where they live, then I'd say can the rhetoric and just chalk it up to a one time thing, right?),why bother calling around? Start with the smokers. It seems only logical. Or really, just wait and see if it happens again and unless it does, let go. It's an upscale apartment complex in 2015, not a dystopian George Orwell novel that we live in (thankfully! lol)... Those are really the only two cons I've noticed. I only mention them because I want to leave an honest and thorough review and because of the general tone that set for me as a new tenant. Pros: Whenever anything (always minor, always fixable) goes wrong in the condo, maintenance is IMMEDIATELY there. They're totally respectful, always with a good attitude and always super willing to help. Every time I've had to put in an online maintenance request, they've shown up within 24-48 hours and taken care of the problem. They're just great. I've even had this really nice maintenance guy (I believe his name is Eric?? Tall, good looking, larger frame, short dark hair) explain to me exactly what's what and give me a heads up on anything that might need to be taken care of in the future. For instance, when I needed help figuring out the odd window tensioner situation and how the heck to open the windows and pop out the frames for cleaning, he walked me around to each window (of which there are a fair few in my condo), explaining to me exactly how they worked and he said if I had a problem in the future, not to hesitate to call again and maintenance would be right over. They even pay special attention to the tenants with pets. They leave information in each pet owner's chart to the maintenance staff to be careful when entering and exiting those peoples' condos so that pets don't escape. At Skyridge Club, they offer picture hanging services, breakfasts and brunches in the common area, different cool community events, pet watering and feeding services for those tenants who need to go out of town, free maintenance and more. They clean the siding on a regular basis and the windows too, they keep up with the gardening and lawn maintenance and the snow removal in the winter (I don't think I ever walked out to snow on or around my car during the winter. The sidewalks and driveway are meticulously maintained. The walking path (which is so lovely by the way) is maintained really well. I really love that my unit backs up directly onto the walking path. It's great for running, walking and biking and it's so nice to be able to socialize with neighbors and to have all the neighborhood kids who walk by (and some adults too!) want to come cuddle with my kitties. I've met some really nice people all because of the fact that I live right on the walking path. There is a beautiful grove of trees which separates Skyridge Club from the neighborhood behind it, which I absolutely LOVE!It is SO relaxing and nice to sit outside at night having a glass of wine and enjoying the sunset and/or moon and stars or to come out and have a cup of coffee in the morning while sitting on my patio.That is honestly the best part about living here in my opinion.All in all, I love it here. read more

My mother rents an apartment on Fountainhead Drive in Westmont, IL. On November 29, 2018, a second floor gutter filled with ice fell on her causing neck and head injuries. She was taken by ambulance with a police report filled out and we still cannot get management to provide her with a copy of her lease or to respond to my several faxes. She needs to terminate her lease effective immediatly, with a refund of her security deposit, the payment of her medical bills and the payment of the ambulance bill ASAP!!!! read more

Writing review after realizing my personal information was given to a third party vendor, 1-Stop concierge services and started receiving spam from them. Confirmed with property manager Gina Beason. They stated that since it wa an amenity they are able to give out my personal information. They are not doing business together nor a joint venture so I am making a case that this is not okay. Marquette Management has some very friendly polite office staff and salespeople. That being said they have ignored repeatedly the health hazards and dangers reported to them by residents and contractors/staff members. I worked on site there April - late July 2013 and wrote reports, left voicemails and text messages with management and staff about drainage overflows, animals living and nesting there. Disabled garage doors left open 24/7 June 15th -Present day ( to parking structure) that was a major security and health risk. But the most serious offenses repeatedly ignored by Marquette employees and management posted at Four Lakes Towers was the massive amount of air pollution from garbage piling up, air pollution from drilling into concrete and other procedures ( which infested the lower level to outside the building) HUGE amounts of mold in and around the buildings, bacteria, Wet & Dirty used insulation in walkways, and by door exits. Terribly hazardous to breathe or get on your person. Numerous complaints by Security staff on site as well as fellow residents were repeatedly got the " we'll look into it. " After several others including myself, complained about these serious health hazards STILL unresolved. We were finally told by Marquette office staff " Get underneath there or else you'll be replaced, it's perfectly fine in there". I have lived her for a year and a half. I've never had to live in an apartment before, so I'm glad I chose Marquette Management. They have done a lot of upgrades to the apartment buildings, landscaping, club house, and the pool. If you like to be inconvenienced, then this is the Management Company for you! Marquette Management now manages Brookdale on the Park in Naperville, IL. and I am glad to be moving in March. I visited the Management Office at 5pm on 1/23/2014 to ask about a spot light that now shins into my apartment windows and was told the light would remain on. I was also asked "do you have curtains". Lived on this property for 6 years and am well aware of the reputation of Marquette Management. When I heard they were purchasing the property I did not renew my lease. The manner in which this issue was handled only validates that what I heard about Marquette Management to be true! read more

I live in fairlane woods dearborn mi. There is a big pest control issue. This is highly unacceptable for this "luxurious" property that we pay 1200.00 for. This is the third time I've had this complaint this year. There comes a point where enough is enough I will be contacting marquette headquarters to ensure that they are aware of this reoccurring problem within the property. Something must be done in order to stop this. I feel disgusted and uncomfortable in my own home. My neighbors has had the same issue with mice. I advise you to do your research I don't want to terminate my lease because i like the area but if it must be done in order for me to be at peace so be it. The home is spotless at all times I have never had this issue in any apartment complex and I've been renting for 7 years. No one seems to care either which aggravates me even more. They say oh "they're just field mice" how would you feel with a mouse running freely around your home for the third time in a year span? Is it really worth it?
