Our family and some friends stayed here for four nights/five days just after new years. What a fun…read moreand interesting place to share with loved ones! Plenty of room for a large group to spread out but the house also provides real coziness that makes it feel like a (very cool) home away from home. Our group loved shooting pool, feeding the jukebox, playing pinball, and taking turns at the one-armed bandit all while enjoying a roaring fire near the full-sized, classic wooden bar. the hot tub was truly awesome and large enough for us all to enjoy and we also loved taking advantage of the huge dining room to play games or the super comfy den area to hang out and watch movies. We loved the layout of the upstairs bedrooms giving everyone privacy but also being near each with a vintage hotel vibe. I couldn't get over the wrap-around balcony shared by all the bedrooms...loved it... so many details big and small that truly make this place an original. Seeing as it was early January we couldn't truly appreciate the huge yard with its many statues and sculptures (and a vintage phone booth that works) as well as the close proximity to the water, but I hope we can stay again when it's warm to take it all in during the peak season. The host and his assistant are super attentive and very responsive. It's clear they put a lot of time and planning into trying to give everyone the best experience possible. My only regret is that we didn't bring more people with us to share this treasure! I highly recommend.

FINALLY! It's been a couple months since we stayed at Adeline's and all this time I've been wanting…read moreto write a review, but just forgot. This is my second time at Adeline's. The first time we randomly chose Adeline's for my partner and I and our ten year anniversary. We fell in love when we saw the pictures on their website. We were really excited. I think our impression was that we would be staying at an era '20s retreat. Knowing the history of the Wisconsin Northwoods and gangsters like Capone and Bugsy and Baby Face we kind of thought there was a theme there. To be fair, Adeline's doesn't dive deep into all that, but we absolutely loved it...all of it! One thing we will say is that we stayed in the late late Fall. While there wasn't snow yet, we did catch the last of the Fall colors and will rethink our third stay so we can either enjoy the lake (which is right there. Really, right there) and the gardens. Even closing in on winter we could tell that the gardens were spectacular in the summertime. Cant wait to see them then. Okay, so we decided to stay here, just my partner and I, thinking the place was a romantic couples retreat. It is, seriously, it was very romantic. Though, it is huge. That was a lot of fun having it all to ourselves - especially the hot tub, the huge hot tub. But, while we did feel kind of Gatsby-ish alone in Adeline's we also realized that this place would be great for a larger group of guests. That's what we did pretty quickly after our first stay. My partner is a huge mystery fan, so she organized a murder-mystery weekend with some good friends and coworkers. It was a casual and fun game that seemed to fit well with the ambiance, especially when we sat in front of the massive stone fireplace trying to figure out "Who dun it..." It worked out great. A couple things to keep in mind - and we didn't take advantage of - is that there is skiing nearby. Maybe an hour away. I don't ski, but my partner is from Tahoe, so... But, it didn't matter because it was too early in the season for snow on the hills. The second time we were busy with the murder-mystery. Also, we are both Pack fans, so we might be interested in staying here for a game in the future. It would be a great place to hang out for an extended weekend, drive up to Green Bay, and then back for some dogs and burgers. Anyway, this is probably a rambling review, but, we did love Adeline's. Wish we could have talked to the owner more so we can get some insight into the history of the place. One of our friends swears she saw a woman in a flowing dress on the porch near the fireman's pole. Yep, there's a fireman's pole. Highly recommended.

Loved everything about this place- the breakfast nook and lounge area where everything was right…read moreout of the 50's. The rooms all have different names & themes which are lovingly and impressively done. It's a great place for a family gathering as there's loads of outdoor space: 1) large Fire pit in back, 2) Gazebo with lawn games, 3) picnic tables. Then, in front are the BBQ grills and several different-styled patio tables, as well as, 2 colorful nostalgic metal chairs directly outside each room. Lovely landscaping & flowers everywhere. Don't miss the bubbling brook just alongside the South side of the lounge and a peaceful spot to read. We visited Devils Lake Park, a diner in Baraboo, and an escape room in the Dells area. It's nearby lots of attractions. Oh yeah, the family that owns the joint are really nice

Adorable Inn close to Devil's lake, a few minutes from Downtown Baraboo, and less than 20 minutes…read moreto all that the Wisconsin Dells has to offer. We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.
