Unfortunately, our experience with the staff was unacceptable. I informed them that I have a trained service animal protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Rather than discussing the situation professionally, the staff member laughed, stated "absolutely not," and said they didn't care about the law. The interaction was rude, condescending, and deeply disrespectful. Beyond the poor customer service, it was extremely concerning to hear a representative openly dismiss federal disability protections. Because of this experience, we no longer felt comfortable staying at the resort and were forced to cancel our family's vacation. It's disappointing that such a beautiful property was overshadowed by staff who treated guests this way and appeared unwilling to follow the law. I hope management takes this matter seriously by providing proper ADA training and ensuring future guests are treated with respect.

After two hours of trying to get rides, we found this place. Rick, who owns and operates the motel alone, came and picked up us and all our luggage himself. After calling Rick and asking if he had a room for us, and could give us a ride, it was no more than 20 minutes from being stranded at a closed gas station in the freezing cold, to being checked into a room. He even gave us some homemade beef jerky in case we didn't have any food. (best beef jerky I've ever had) Great prices, great service, excellent place to stay. If I am ever near that area again, Crossroads Motel & Cabin is where I'll be staying.

I want to share my experience regarding the noise levels during our recent stay. For two of the three nights, the noise was excessive. During our last night, which much needed sleep, I contacted the front desk twice. The first time, I was told security would address the loud group on the patio. On my second call, I was advised to approach the guests myself to ask them to lower their volume, which I found quite shocking. When I requested the staff's name, she began to spell it out instead of simply stating it, and ultimately hung up on me. Given that we paid over $500/per night was too much for not getting much sleep. As well as the lack of support and rude service were very disappointing. I hope future guests take note of this issue and similar other reviews about the excessive noise level likely due to lack of soundproofing.

The sheets were scratchy and smelled heavily of detergent, but they were clean and that's the most important part. Everyone of our rooms was clean, updated and very comfortable. I had a 2 queen beds with a balcony over looking the frozen lake and it was beautiful. We received housekeeping every day, which I have found not to be the case nowadays at other hotels. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant off the lobby was delicious. There is a lounge/pub on the lower level that is fully stocked and they serve pub food. I got the personal pizza and it was excellent. My family members ordered the burgers and equally were satisfied. The younger members of our family used the pool, arcade, hot tub and exercise room every day we were there and had so much fun. I definitely will be returning for long weekends often. So nice
