I came here with a coupon deal $50 for $100 worth of spending.
There was no restriction to use it on food or beverages and alcohol included- GREAT!
My dining partner and I decided to go with the tasting plates ( we did a bit of research and looked at other restaurant review websites)
We had the Oysters with champagne sauce ( $4 ea), beetroot with white anchovies ( plate of 6 or 8), salmon terrine ( 3 dollops served with witlof salad and croutons), garlic prawns( 2), saffron arancini ( 3 pieces) and aubergine filled with tomato ( 3 pieces).
They did a great job in pairing the dishes - 3 at a time. I liked the simplicity of some of the dishes but they worked brilliantly.
A few items were not available which was disappointing and suggested that the kitchen could be a bit more organised??
I.e. the oysters with champagne sauce were available but not oysters with vinaigrette dressings. Also missing in action was the scallops.
But by no means this affected our dining experience in any way. The table next to us used the same voucher and opted for entree and mains ( I perved at the barramundi fillet and mussels - all huge servings and looks satisfying)
I also enjoyed the Eton mess and Chocolate souffle for dessert, they were Uber yumm. Melt in your mouth citrus ice cream accompanied my souffle and the Eton mess just made me want to Eat-on and eat-on!!
Great decor, the place felt really glamorous inside despite the nightclub outside... I reccomend coming in early if you want a quiet dinner or book a weeknight! I saw a promotion of 50% off the total bill on wednesday nights.
For that kind of discount, you have no more excuse not to try this place. read more
