Now called Robbinson auto. I went in on Mon. about my 2015 Ram with bad rear pinion gear. Was told if I dropped it off that evening they would have it back to me on Wed. Called Wed. morning to get an update. was told they hadn't gotten to it yet and they would see if they could get it in and finished and would call me back and let me know. Finally got a return call at 3:40 and told "We don't work on Dodge rear ends". They knew Mon. what I had and what the issue was and didn't say a word about not working on Dodge. Kept my truck for 2 days knowing they weren't going to touch it. WTF? That's 2 days it could have been at another shop getting repaired. Do not use this shop unless you want to be lied to and have your time wasted. read more

Pass all the paved-lot and shiny-window repair shops, and head across the border to Paulding Co. The couple bucks gas money you spend will look like pennies compared to what you won't spend at Marotti. Be patient if you leave a couple voicemails with days in between a call back (or weeks). When you're good it means you're busy. Then stop worrying once you're booked because this will be a less expensive journey than usual. You'll get a legit assessment of what needs done, and no pressure to change those filters or wiper blades (or timing belt) if you don't want to. No frills means low overhead; gravel lots with a few cars like the windows-down 2-door Mercedes parked means you're not paying for all the marketing. It's just car-fixing like it should be. Last time I went in thinking I needed a complete wiper reservoir replacement. Nope, just a wiper fluid hose for pretty cheap. We'll keep coming back since cars don't fix themselves. Currently I'm not at all fretting about our teenager's car we just had towed in after stalling in an intersection. How bad could it be? And of course I'll continue wondering how much he'd charge to get that old Mercedes in his lot back on the road. Probably just needs new wipers and an air filter, once we get that driver-side window closed. read more

It's no fun when you get jerked around by the dealership. That's what happened before I ended up here recently. My car sputtered out on the highway and had to bring it in to dealership. Cobb Honda told me it would cost $3500 to replace catalytic converters and O2 sensors on my car, plus replace my intake boot. They also couldn't tell me which converters were bad ... figures. I ended up getting my intake boot replaced and new O2 sensors for $500, and took my car elsewhere. Couldn't believe the high price and decided to shop around. Someone had recommended this shop on NextDoor. Checked out reviews and thought it was worth it. When I got here, thought I was in the wrong place. The shop isn't big or fancy, and is off a dirt road. However, Vinny is very nice and professional. You still need to make an appointment. I left my car with him and he got me a price of $1395 out the door for my converters. He also did a tune-up and replaced spark plugs for $195 extra. When I got my car back, the check engine lifts still were coming on but he had mentioned I might need new O2 sensors. Apparently, Honda didn't actually do my O2 sensors. Vinny just charged me cost of sensors and no labor. So, total of $1715. My car was back and running for less than half the cost of the dealership. If you're looking for a neighborhood mechanic, this is your shop! read more

I have been taking my car here for years and have never encountered such an honest mechanic. Vinny (the owner) will never try and put more on your car than what you need and he will do it at a great price. I could tell all my stories on how he's saved me tons of money, how I've towed my car there from another shop because it was cheaper and the other shop was trying to take advantage of me, or how he has worked with me on price and never said no to a project, but I don't want to go on forever. I took my 14 Chevy Cruze in for new front rotors, brakes and a new housing unit for my coolant. I paid less than half of what the Chevy dealership quoted me. Marotti auto Repair is a rare place indeed. A family owned auto repair business with most of the family there doing various jobs. Vinny, the owner, has always been very helpful in getting out cars serviced there. He has gone as far as scanning the computer error code on my truck for free and then telling me that it was a simple fix and telling me what to replace. There aren't many places that would do that. On top of things, their prices are reasonable and the quality of the work is top notch. read more

UPDATED 3/2018: The last time I had them work on my truck, I talked to Vinny about our 23' Class C RV and he told me they worked on them. I was ecstatic to hear this. Fast forward a year later and we bring in the RV, and as soon as Vinny sees it, he freaks out! I mean like hyped up on Mountain Dew panic, carrying on about how he was raked over the coals last time he worked on one of these, and he just kept babbling on. Thirty minutes after we got home (we live about a mile, maybe 1.5 miles away) he called and said they can't work on it. His guys won't touch it because it's too big, it's too heavy, it's too whatever. It was a complete 180 from the first time I talked to him about it. I distinctly remember him saying that their bays were big enough and there would be no problem working on it. I even showed him a picture of it the first time we discussed it and he was like, "Oh yeah, no problem." I was very disappointed and taken aback by the whole scene. Needless to say, we'll not be returning there for any of our other three vehicles. I just recently took my truck to Marotti Auto Repair for the first time and I am VERY IMPRESSED! I'm so glad I found them, especially since they are literally around the corner from where I live!! Vinny, his wife, and his son are SUPER NICE people and I felt very comfortable around them. I had an oil change and tire rotation, and I felt their price was very fair. They seem to be very thorough and on the ball. I will definitely be back with all of our other vehicles. I called to get a seal replaced on a rear axle and was told I would have to make an appointment to get an estimate. I did and left my car at the shop yesterday sometime after 4:00 pm. This morning just after they opened they call and said they were too busy and did not want to work on my truck. I asked if I could bring it by after business slowed down a little and they said, "No we just don't want the work." I went in to pick up my truck and the owner asked what was wrong. I told him the story and he said, "Some times those axles can get a little tricky." I asked, "Why did I have to make an appointment and bring my truck in if there were not going to look at it? The truck had not been moved to check it out and the odometer was exactly the same as when I left it. The owner said his son did not know they could be tricky. I would not go back to this backyard excuse for an auto repair shop if they offered to fix my truck for free. If they did not want the work they could have told me a week ago when I made the appointment. At the very least they could have been civil about it when I offered to bring my truck back when they were not so busy rather than saying, "No we just don't want the work," like they were mad at me for wasting their time. read more

Vinny, talked with me personally about the quote to get my car fixed (tie rod end and front axle). He gave me a really good, low priced, quote. After it was towed there we realized that we forgot to bleed the breaks before sending it to him. He did the breaks and still stuck with the original quoted price, regardless of the fact that he did extra work. He was very nice and finished with my car very fast. The work is sound the car runs and drives great! I highly recommend him, and will go to him if I need work done in the future!! read more

With great joy I read over the other reviews already posted, and I was very happy to see many people saying exactly what I had intended to say. Vinny is truly an honest guy, and that is something people want and need to know, these days. He's done work for me, several times, each and every time being totally straight and honest about what needed to be done, not doing other unnecessary work, not "fishing" for other work, and what he charged was completely reasonable. I even had one occasion where he was checking out a tricky issue I was having with an O2 sensor I had already replaced (myself), but kept intermittently still causing my check engine light to come on. He checked everything out, could not find a problem. He told me his findings, and this was something seen in the past with this particular vehicle. He would NOT charge me, even though I tried to reason with him for all of the time and effort he had spent in checking out the issue. He gave me his recommendation (it involved the dealer) and simply asked if I would let him know what was the issue, once resolved (which I gladly did). I am very happy to echo what you see so many others saying about Vinny. What a super-nice guy, and what an honest fellow. Best customer service and prices . You won't find a more honest or fair mechanic anywhere. Also you are giving your business to a real family -owned and operated small business, which is a great thing also. Husband and son are mechanics, wife works in the office. I won't take our cars anywhere else. The best part-Vinny doesn't do work just because that's what the "book" says its time to do. He uses common sense which comes from years of experience. This is the BEST place to take a vehicle for service. We were told about Marotti Auto by our next door neighbor. She works in a bank and hears from people which companies are good and the ones to avoid. She has only ever heard good things about them, so she didn't hesitate to take her own car, and her children's vehicles, and tell her friends. We benefited from her word-of-mouth referral! She has been going there for over 10 yrs and we have been trusting them for over 8 yrs now. My parents even drive in from another state to have their vehicle worked on at Marottis.
