We asked a lot of questions and really thought we were getting a good product. We were promised our flooring would be durable and a hard grade floor. The flooring they sold was horrible from day one. It fell apart shortly after we got it. They blamed it on wear and on my dogs. They even sent an inspector to the house. The inspector blamed my dogs and wear over time. The floor fell apart in the first 6 months. We didn't even have our dogs then, and it fell apart in areas we didn't walk on! Plus, it was their inspector which we felt was totally in favor of Tom Adams and biased. The report came back that my dogs and wear were the cause of this. Totally preposterous! We must have replace hundreds of planks over the years. It couldn't be wear, especially since the planks weren't the same as the ones that were originally installed. We were told it was going to be a very durable wood floor, good for dogs, foot traffic, etc, and not soft grade. We got the total opposite! We can't resurface them or stain them, they would totally fall apart. Tom Adams kept replacing planks and the same thing continued to happen. Tom Adams would not take responsibility or would the manufacturer. They stopped using the manufacturer knowing these problems with Chesapeake flooring. We just kept getting the run around. The warranty meant nothing, because no one would make good on it or take responsibility. We even showed Tom Adams the bad reviews regarding the company's floors. The reviews stated that the same thing was happening to others. They had knowledge that these were horrible wood floors. We would have been better off with LVP or manufactured wood. The flooring that was in our house originally was there for 25 years with out a scratch and had plenty of wear. They were just older and thinner and we wanted a thicker plank that was more modern. Had we known what we were getting or dealing with we never would have gotten new flooring. After all the calling and replacing 70 or more planks every 6 months, Tom Adams still would not replace the floor that cost thousands of dollars. To the consumer, research floors before you buy and make sure that you use a company that is knowledgeable and that the salesman they hire know all about the flooring they are selling. Read reviews on the floors and carpets. We're so disappointed with our experience with Tom Adams. We now have floors that Tom Adams will not make good on, and are falling apart. They said, we could replace them at cost. Seriously! We paid thousands of dollars and shouldn't have to replace them in 8 years. Not to mention this has been on going since 6 months after they were installed.They look horrible and we're stuck with splintering wood floors with filler that comes out. Not the quality we paid for at all! Do your research and use another company. We would advise everyone to not use Tom Adams in the future.

Our most recent job was finished Friday and Steve was emailing us Saturday to make sure everything went well. The team left everything super clean too. I really expected at least a little mess! Especially since the new basement is finished and carpeted. Anyway I don't think we will ever stray from using this company while we are home owners. Call and ask for a quote! TLDR: this is a low integrity team. I flew across the country to support my dad as he was receiving medical attention. It took a lot of time and energy to be present for their help. Here's what happened. Chris and his colleague showed up late. Three minutes into our conversation, Chris asks about payment. It was disconcerting as the job had yet to start and the payment was already arranged. Nevertheless, Chris and his colleague start setting up and we start gently asking questions about their process. It was our first time experiencing their work and we wanted to learn more. In the middle of setting up, Chris went outside. When he came back inside, he shared that he spoke to his boss and that they will leave the job. They didn't think we were a fit. I was shocked and expressed frustration. He had already came by in the past and approved the job. I had traveled across the country to be there. I asked for an explanation as to why. I was blown away: he had no explanation to share other than repeating himself. At one point, as I tried to understand why, he expressed something along the lines of not feeling it. I asked to speak to his boss and he refused to share his/her name or his/her contact information. As I expressed my frustration, he started to ignore me, packing his tools, chiding me for being frustrated for him leaving the job. This is backed up by video footage, including an apology--right before leaving--from Chris for wasting my time. It seems that our basic questions triggered a fear for them of losing payment. Thus, they decided to abandon ship instead of showcasing integrity for respecting their commitment. Afterwards, I called their office, sharing the story with a manager named Jenn. She said they'd call right back. It's now more than 24 hours. No call back. I'm sorry to say, this is a low-integrity team. If you're willing to take that risk, buyer beware. They may respond to this review, trying to mischaracterize our frustration as a turn-off to them. I want to be clear: we were kind and courteous in welcoming them to our home. We simply needed help and were willing to pay. We lost time, energy, and money to accommodate them being there. They came and left with little compassion for us. I had Anthony Armato come out and give me 2 quotes ( he never gave…read moreme one in writing until after the job and I complained) which the one was for almost $3000.00 for the entire floor! I went with the lowe r quote for $500.00 which was just the area around my work island where the grout was the dirtiest. The young kid who showed up repaired several grout lines that had to be repaired but never put the grout color on. Prior to that he told me that I should have the rest of the floor cleaned to match which was another $300.00. So I paid almost $800.00 to have 9 grout lines repaired and my floor looked the same as when he came except now you can see the difference between the old grout and the few lines that are new. I complained that day and he gave me $50.00 off and after calling the company to no avail I contacted the BBB to file a complaint and Sir Grout never responded. This is THE WORST service company I'v ever dealt with! Small claims court is next.
