I HIGHLY recommend taking your loved family member to a different veterinary practice. I am extremely disappointed by the care my dog received at Murray Hill Veterinary Associates. In my experience, my dog was misdiagnosed by Dr. P and mistreated by Dr. C while suffering from multiple serious and life-threatening health conditions that required immediate and coordinated medical attention. Management staff, Nate and Jessica along with Dr. H and Dr. B failed to provide these services due to me advocating for my family member. Dr. H issued a prescription that contained improper dosing information. As a responsible and concerned pet owner, I advocated for my dog and requested a corrected prescription. At that point, office managers Jessica and Nathan became involved. What should have been a straightforward correction escalated unnecessarily. Their approach, in my experience, was dismissive and rude rather than solution-oriented. Instead of de-escalating the situation and ensuring my dog received prompt and appropriate care, the handling of my concerns created further confusion, delays, and stress. The breakdown in communication and the manner in which my concerns were handled significantly worsened the situation. From my perspective, the lack of professionalism and compassion from management created a cascading effect that ultimately impacted the veterinarians involved, including Dr. H and Dr. B. What could have been resolved quickly became, in my view, a much larger and avoidable disaster due to poor communication and failure to prioritize patient care. I also experienced instances where crucial messages left with Jessica and Nate that I requested to be passed along to the veterinarians were, to my knowledge, not communicated. When a pet has life-threatening medical conditions, any delay or miscommunication can have serious consequences. No pet owner advocating for accurate dosing, proper treatment, and timely care should be met with hostility or dismissal. Advocacy should never result in escalation or obstruction. There was multiple obstruction caused by management staff, Jessica, and Nate. Additionally, I formally requested a complete copy of my dog's medical records in August and am still waiting to be notified that they are ready for pickup. In my opinion, the handling of this situation reflects broader concerns involving management -- including Jessica and Nathan -- as well as Dr. H, Dr. B, and ALL other veterinary partners associated with the practice. I have serious concerns regarding duty of care, continuity of treatment, and the way I was treated after raising legitimate medical concerns Because certain matters are currently being pursued through appropriate channels, I am limited in the additional details I can publicly share at this time. However, I strongly encourage pet owners to carefully consider their options and ensure they feel respected, heard, and supported when seeking care for their animals. Pets are family. They deserve competent, coordinated, and compassionate care -- and their owners deserve professionalism when advocating for them.

I believe these issues deserve closer scrutiny. There's also publicly available information from 2019 indicating that this organization was involved in legal proceedings related to record-keeping. Reports suggest that certain health details may not have been accurately disclosed to adoptive families at the time. If you'd like to explore that further, there's information online you can review. I encourage everyone to form their own conclusions based on the facts available.

The…read moredogs we saw were absolutely adorable and so sweet, but unfortunately, the staff completely ruined the experience. The employees we dealt with could not have been colder if they tried--especially the woman at the front desk. There is a respectful way to speak to people, especially when you are representing an organization, and this was not it. She was extremely rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. I have over five years of experience as a waitress, I work as a social worker, and I volunteer at my local dog shelter. In all of those roles, I have never been spoken to as disrespectfully as I was today. She informed us that our application was denied by loudly criticizing our dog of 14 1/2 years--who recently passed away--saying he was overweight, and did so in front of other staff members. It honestly seemed like she took pleasure in delivering this news, which felt incredibly insensitive given that we are still grieving the loss of our dog. This information could have been communicated in a much kinder and more respectful way. Basic compassion and professionalism should not be too much to expect. The experience was so upsetting that it made me question how the animals are treated if this is how people are treated. My family took a long time to feel ready for another dog after losing our Jessie girl, and this was the first time we had considered adopting again since her passing. Instead of a hopeful experience, we were met with hostility and disrespect. I have never written an online review before, but the way we were treated compelled me to speak up. I will never recommend Home for Good Dogs in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Please ensure that staff and volunteers understand the importance of kindness, professionalism, and basic human decency.

What I didn't realize was that I was talking (texting) with Dr. Mini, herself, even though she was ON VACATION! I stumbled on happy paws on google/facebook and I really wish another vet had an opening and was able to come to our home. From the second I spoke to Dr Mink I felt rushed. I initially called her around 12/1pm to ask if she had an opening and she did from 6-8pm that she can be here.. I tried to call her back to confirm but she said she was in a house call and she'll call me back.. call back never happened.. turned into just a text exchange confirming she can come between 6-8pm. When she got here at 6:30 all we wanted was 10 extra minutes with our girl.. she made it seem like I was asking for an hour and said she can give us 5 minutes as she has another appointment right after.. I already got annoyed at this comment right from the beginning. When she came in first thing she asked for was payment.. no asking of what our girls name was, how old she was, what was going on.. nothing.. zero sympathy.. went straight for payment and then straight to almost giving her the first shot to put our baby to sleep.. she then gave us maybe 5 minutes and went straight to shaving her paw and putting in the IV line.. After our girl was gone the Dr gave us zero information about cremation.. all I got was can you pickup her ashes in Clifton? That's it.. no name of the company nothing.. we were also in total shock still so even asking these questions then completely went over my mind. I had to text her the next day asking when we can pickup her ashes and when they will be ready.. all I got was an excuse saying she sent the information already but the text didn't go through so she will resend them. In the end we picked up our girls ashes and paw prints on Tuesday, all no thanks to the Dr, I called the cremation place myself and was told everything was ready for pickup. I just hope this review helps others.. we were going through one of the worst days with our girl and looking back at all the things that happened I really wish we went with someone else.

I called them on a Saturday evening when it became clear our beloved cat was suffering and that it was his "time" and to my relief they were able to be there within 30 minutes. I am immeasurably grateful for their help at this difficult time, for their heartfelt kindness and patience and to explain everything to us and help us understand, after examining our cat, that we were making the right decision. They let us take as much time as we needed through the process. They could not have been more perfect, from the very first telephone conversation, they said all the right things, with authentic empathy and caring - for us and our cat - and helped so very much as we did the kindest thing we could do for our kitty and let him go peacefully. We have found a few dozen people with the same experience as ours since sharing our experience…read more On Nov 10 we brought Petey for routine shots when Dr Sobel told us that he needed a tiny mass taken out of his back leg. He said we could do it that day. We told him that Petey had eaten and suggested rescheduling since it wasn't an emergency. Dr Sobel assured us that he would be just fine & that he had 30 years of veterinary experience. We trusted his judgement and he began taking Petey away without further discussion. After leaving his office, we called twice to make sure that he was sure Petey would be okay since he had eaten. He kept assuring us confidently. A few hours later we got a call from him saying 'I lost your dog' and went on to explain how the complication occurred because he had eaten. Anyone with a medical background, let alone a 'veterinarian of 30 years should know better! When we went back to his office Anthony and I walked upstairs to see his best friend lying on what seemed to be the kitchen table of a house? His tech said 'he f*ed up- I told him not to operate but he said he needed the money'. When the Long Hill Police arrived, they were more than helpful in assisting us with the report. Again, the vet tech told us that she repeatedly suggested that he did not perform surgery on Petey but still, he insisted. She expressed strong negative verbiage about her feelings toward him and further proved that Dr Sobel was negligent and responsible for Petey's wrongful death. I have to thank the police department again for getting ice for Petey, helping us transport him and for their moral and professional support through such a tense, emotional situation. Petey deserved better than this and so do your beloved family members, which is why I am sharing this. Respectively, we ask that you share Petey's story. Like I said, we have come across a few dozen families who've experienced loss similar to ours because of Dr Sobel's negligence and he is still sending bills to these people. Please, do not trust this man with your animals

We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope.
