Marmar is SO good. She is very skilled at what she does and gives great advice on how to grow back crooked eyebrows. I used to thread and was hesitant to try waxing, but I trusted the reviews & tried it. Not going back. It was painless, quick, and clean. Hair didn't grow back for 3 weeks. Pricing is a little steep, hence the one star off. read more

I only trust my eyebrows to Marmar. She's the best. She is always on time, super fast and creates beautiful arches out of disastrous brows. She tends to first wax the "bigger picture" and then plucks the rest. She always hands you a mirror at the end so you can see the final product. I barely need to look because I know she's done a great job! Note that she is quite popular, especially on the weekends and near holidays. Make sure you make an appointment way in advance for any important dates. read more

No surprise that Marmar has all 5 star ratings. A while back I had posted on Facebook asking for recommendations for someone who does eyebrows. I had exactly 16 replies all giving me Marmar's number. Now I know why. If you have a unibrow, crazy brows, no brows... whatever... Marmar will make you look like a rockstar within a few sessions. Her charge is a bit higher than most eyebrow places, but it's worth the price, and then some. She has an appointment booked every 15 minutes, so you definitely need to book in advance and cannot expect to stroll right in without an appointment. FYI - Marmar uses hot wax instead of thread. So if you use Retin-A, it's important to let her know beforehand so she uses a special cream. Otherwise, the wax will rip off your skin. This is true even if you're not using the Retin-A on your eyebrow area. Retin-A causes the skin on your entire face to thin out, and you won't be able to handle the hot wax. I learned this the hard way (by no fault from Marmar). Also be aware that she does not take credit card. So you need to take cash or check. Overall, A+ read more

YUPPEE !! I've finally found my EYEBROW GODDESS !! No threading, no fillers, no use of templates.... just old fashion tweezing and waxing to shape the eyebrows so they match and are allowed to grow. $35 -- and that's it. When I tried to give her a tip over the $35, she firmly turned it down. Thank you Yelpers for helping me to find her. Again, YUPPEE !! read more

Marmar has been in business since the 80s. I know this because she was working with my mom before I was born. She not only has skill, but she has the best, warm, friendly, kind personality and bedside manner. Most of Los Angelinos have been to her. Everyone always asks me where I get my eyebrows done. My entire family goes to her for years and years. She may only have 40 reviews on yelp. But we all know she actually likely has closer to a couple THOUSAND fans. Definitely go to her. read more

Amazing! She's a true artist! I have been getting my eyebrows threaded elsewhere for a while and they always turned out just OK... It was cheap so I kept going back. Finally decided to give Marmar a try based on a recommendation and SO glad I did! She waxes, which I prefer to threading. She's a bit pricey, but eyebrows are important and once you find someone great, it is worth the extra $. She's also very sweet and her place of business is nice too! So happy to have found her! read more
