The cleaning was great! I was very happy with the service and ready to start setting up recurring cleaning appointments. Two weeks after my service, I received a text message from Marli asking for me to pay her. I thought it was a mistake as I already did pay for a cleaning service I had two weeks ago immediately after the completion of the service. I had confirmed with the 3 cleaners that day that the amount I paid was the correct amount and also gave them a generous tip on top of the price of the service. On Venmo, the cleaners liked my payment and thanked me. I adhered to what I thought was my end of the bargain. Marli proceeds to tell me that the price is per cleaner per hour which is not what was originally communicated to me on the phone. The whole conversation was very odd and confusing considering it was two weeks after the service and I thought I already paid generously based on what original price that was communicated. The rest of the conversation was unprofessional with her accusing me of things I never said, such as that I told the cleaners I was going to Venmo her directly the additional amount owed. I never said that and I was just trying to understand what the heck was going on and not feel like I was being taken advantage of or being confused with another customer. She also made a comment about her workers needing the money more than I did which I thought was completely out of line. If you use Marli's cleaning service, I highly recommend you get it in writing how much is being quoted so there in no question what's being charged and no wildly unprofessional accusations. It seems like they do work under the radar on weekends and try not to keep any paper trails of transactions. It was all very shady. It wasn't about the money as I went on to Venmo the additional amount Marli claimed I owed. What upset me was how I was treated and the accusations made. I will be setting up frequent cleanings going forward but just not with this company. read more

It is so refreshing to walk into a clean home at the end of a busy day. Marli's Cleaning service came recommended to me from a close friend who has used her for years. I am very pleased with the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Marli is very responsive to text and can fit me in her schedule within a few days notice. If there's one thing that stresses me out and puts me in a bad mood it's a messy house. By looking at mine you'd never know that was the case since I don't keep it spotless, but it's true. For a while I've wanted someone to come clean, but in my mind I had a really hard time justifying spending money on something I should be doing myself. I decide to get some quotes. With a shedding dog and three cats in the house we honestly can't keep up, plus we have a little one on the way. Yeah, maybe we could keep the place spotless, but do I really want to spend my nights and weekends cleaning? Nope, especially not once the little one arrives. I look on craigslist and find Marli's listing. I shoot her an email and she's back to me later that night asking me some questions and looking to come out to give me a quote. She came out later that week for a quote and we had the initial cleaning scheduled. Yesterday her team arrives, they don't waste a second and get to work. I was only there shortly before leaving for work, but in that amount of time I realized their cleaning was in a totally different league than anything I would ever do. They were moving furniture to make sure they got every area spotless. When my husband left for work they were scrubbing the baseboards. All I could think was why did I wait so long to have this done?! I spent the day at work yesterday wondering what I was going to go home to, and I couldn't wait to leave. I walked into the house and was amazed. It has never ever looked that clean and every time we looked we saw something different that they had done. Even this morning I was still noticing stuff, like the fact that the dog's food bowls were all cleaned up and the tile in the bathroom shower looked like brand new. I'm sure when I go home after work today I'll notice even more. Bottom line is the money was well spent. I think with a full week of just cleaning I wouldn't have had the house looking this good. Let me start by saying by saying I like Marli and the job her crew did cleaning our condo was amazing but we had to cancel our service due to a few prevalent issues and the lack of resolution when I addressed them: 1. Crew had difficulty arriving on time, often arriving earlier or hours after the agreed time 2. They wouldn't use keys but would ring doorbell (because they were early) forcing me out of the shower a few times 3.They used and removed our cleaning products when it was agreed they were to supply ALL cleaning products 4. Damaged our hardwood floor when moving fridge for cleaning (I had to call and inform them of the damage. I never received an apology or follow up to have our floor refinished) 5. (although not major but was very inconvenient) Moved our items (papers, utensils, etc.) so we had a treasure hunt every evening when they came to clean Again, the cleaning service from Marli's crew was stupendous. The women were friendly and they were not frightened by my large (although harmless) dog. We unfortunately had to cancel our contract due to the issues above. I'd say try Marli's cleaning but be vigilant about any issues and address them before continuing your cleaning contract. read more

After I called twice, Marli came to see the place and gave me a quote. She seems to be a bit disorganized but I scheduled a cleaning and was dissapointed to see that some areas were not cleaned (hallway,stairwell and also the entrance area). I followed up with her and she mentioned her cousin did the cleaning of the apartment . The reason for some areas not cleaned was the place was dirty. Hello? Isn't this why I had you walk through to give me an estimate and hired your services? No partial refund was given. Great job! Marli and her team are very meticulous in their work. Since their first time cleaning my apartment, everything that I asked for was done beyond my expectation and I am now a customer for life. I really appreciate their effort when cleaning my place. They clean my place once a week, and on every Friday I wake up looking forward to get them there! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and even though me and my brother have always been very messy, when we get home every Friday afternoon it seems like a new apartment, every corner had been thoroughly cleaned and the lots of "stuff" on the top of shelves, bookcases, cabinets, and everything was dusted and put back in their right places!! Marli has cleaned my house twice so far. The first BIG clean was amazing! Didn't think my house was that dirty but after they were done my house shines and it is so much easier to keep up with keeping it clean. Just had my second house cleaning today and am still amazed. They move furniture to get everything clean and move nick nacks and clean! If you leave sheets out they even change your sheets. Definitely a great cleaning service. My family and I were looking for a cleaning lady that knew how to really clean. I am the type of person who loves to see the house spotless and organized enough that you could even "eat off the floor" (It's just a saying, I really wouldn't. Lol.). So she schedules our cleaning and showed up exactly on time, and got to work. I cant describe how much this woman cleaned. She dusted my picture frames, ceiling fans, moved furniture (and put it right back in it's original spot), changed our sheets, and didn't leave one sole spot anywhere. I had used Marli's cleaning services for a few months, when I started to realize that our cleaning woman was throwing away some of the clothes that had been left out (socks with small holes, etc). She had done a very nice job up to this point- and at firs this was fine, but then she started throwing out larger items, until one day, I saw that she had thrown out 6 socks, two pairs of underwear, a hand towel, and a shirt. None of these items had anything wrong with them. When I dropped Marli a polite note requesting that she not throw out our items, and to just put them off to the side- she insisted that they were torn- and requested more money since the job was bigger than she had initially (which is more than fair enough- we have two small puppies that make quite a mess- and we would have been happy to do if they agreed to stop throwing away our clothes). The last day we came home to see that our front door had been left wide open for at least 6 hours. I wrote to Marli explaining what happened, and that I wanted to immediately cancel our services. This is an unreliable and somewhat questionable group. They didn't show up for a scheduled weekly cleaning randomly one week, when I was counting on them to clean prior to some company coming. My husband waited at home for them to show up for hours and they just didn't show. When he finally went to work and then called them, Marli didn't respond until the 4th phone call. She thought that was the opportune time to negotiate a pay increase. Given they routinely put dirty dishes away as "clean" dishes in the cabinet (totally unsanitary!), he fired them on the spot. I have lived in a bunch of places and had many different companies do our cleaning of varying ability . I pay for a cleaning crew because I need reliable help. I can even put up with some dirty dishes in my cabinet..... I can tell the differenence. This crew just can't be counted on and some of the work was routinely subpar. I echo Jim's comments. Marli did a wonderful job, but she only worked for us for a few month, then passed the job to her co-worker. Marli never called us or left a note to tell us about the change. But we didn't complain because the co-worker was doing a pretty good job (but not quite as good as Marli). Then, the co-worker passed the job to a "friend," who doesn't even belong to Marli's company (that made me wonder about the insurance issue). Of course, nobody told us about this transition beforehand. They just showed up. The friend then passed to another friend... So now, our house is being cleaned by a lady who has absolutely no connection with Marli; and the quality was up and down depending who's coming (but generally trending downhill). We felt that our house was used as a springboard. The good ones stayed for a couple of month to horn their skills, then moving on to more profitable, commercial cleaning jobs. read more
