Located near the end of Chinatown, on Pender Street, I found this place back in the middle of 2006. When you go in, you see 7 - 8 big desk, one on each side. The funny thing is the sign above each desk, as they tell you what language the agent at that desk can speak. Most of the Asian language's are covered. I have to give credit to the one person that has helped me for all my travel needs for the past 4 years. Her name is Carrie, and I have recommended her to a number of my friends and collegues. She has always been helpful getting quotes for flights for me, and she also looks at other dates to try to save me money. All the quotes that I have been give are always after tax, and she has been able to beat online prices. Also the convience of dealing with payment over the phone, and emailing me the itenerary has been great. If you plan to book your next flight, give this place a try, I'm still using it to this day. Also if you are flying to Asia and you need a China Visa, they can help you do it for an extra $10, which is way better than you wasting your day (and your life away) at the China embassy trying to get one!

I would not recommend booking a destination wedding through Escapes. I had high hopes after…read moreattending a promotional event at the Vancouver Women's Club however that was the end of "wow" factor. Our agent was Susan who boasts lots of experience. We were happy and excited to working with her but it wasn't long before all that ended. We asked her for guidance on which area and resort to visit. Her attempt to inform us was vague and disorganized. She already had certain hotels that she wanted to recommend.... but we hadn't even decided on the geographical location yet. Then when it was time to talk about resorts, she pushed really hard on certain resorts... some that we had been to before (and wouldn't visit again). We did our own research and asked her for pricing and availability. It took weeks to hear back. And it was only partial information. I (the bride) couldn't stand it anymore and had to have my husband talk to her on the phone. We finally picked our own hotel with absolutely No help from Susan... but then the confusion and incompetence began with booking us and our guests. She could not figure out that we wanted to arrive two days early... "there is no package for 10 days" etc.... book separate flights then! We had to walk her through how to help us book into an unusual vacation length. Next was booking in our Guests. She was supposed to have a handle on this... "we wouldn't have to follow up with anyone" that was part of what they promised. But that didn't happen. Manu of our guest had difficultly getting payment or requests to her. And I guess she was afraid to pick up the phone in certain cases but in one instance she was going to charge the room to another guest who had the same last name... ya they are related, but that doesn't mean they are paying together! There are other examples of her inadequate service, but I won't go on. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the service rendered at Escapes. They received quite a bit of $$ from our trip and none of it was deserved. I considered so many time foregoing our deposit and going elsewhere but I stuck it out. The important thing is that we made it through. The wedding and the vacation were amazing but this was certainly not because of escapes. The were a pain to work with and inhibited the creativity in the planning process... not recommended!

I'll recommend them to everyone I know.

We have returned home from an awesome trip planned by Fresh Tracks. We had 5 day of adventures (…read morewith an extra day at the beginning and end ) 7 days total. Day one: We started out by flying to Vancouver for our first day. Fresh Tracks booked us into the Fairmount at the Airport. It is super convenient being inside the airport. A very kind porter took us thru customs and to our hotel. Day 2: We had breakfast and went down to the airport for our flight to Whitehorse. We were picked up by Northern Tales and taken to the BestWestern Goldrush hotel. There we got our rental clothing and our rooms. That night we had our first attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day three: we were taken on a City tour then to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where we saw Caribou , Mule Deer, Mountain Goats, Moose, and Bison. After the Preserve a short drive to Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs. My husband and mother in law enjoys the hot springs more than I did. I expected bigger deeper pools. That night another attempt to view the Northern Lights. Day four: We were taken to the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation for Husky Rush. We were taken dog sledding by an expert and team of dogs. It was amazing. The dogs were super excited and making lots of noise up till they started moving. Then they were completely quiet. We traveled across frozen lakes and thru wooded areas on trails. After we were around a fire eating Bison Sausages and drinking hot tea. In the evening we had our third attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day five: we had snowmobiling. I have been on a snowmobile but it was decades ago. My husband and mother in law had never been on one. We all got great instructions before we started out. One guide in front and one in back. We stopped about half way for hot chocolate and a cookie and photos. Then our trip back over frozen lakes and thru wooded trails. That night our last attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day six: The next morning was our flight back to Vancouver. We were picked up and taken to our hotel. We stay the night in the Pan Pacific Hotel. A very nice hotel in the heart of Vancouver. Day seven: Next morning we were picked up and taken to the airport for our flight home. All pickups and drop-offs planned by Fresh Tracks. We had zero issues and had a wonderful time even though we didn't get to see the Northern Lights. It was just too cloudy. We had a blast dog sledding and snowmobiling. Everyone we dealt with were super friendly, personable and professional. We'd recommend Fresh Tracks to anyone.

We loved the scenery and outdoor excursions and the Fairmont hotels were truly an experience that we were glad we did. The trains were fun.
