We have returned home from an awesome trip planned by Fresh Tracks. We had 5 day of adventures ( with an extra day at the beginning and end ) 7 days total. Day one: We started out by flying to Vancouver for our first day. Fresh Tracks booked us into the Fairmount at the Airport. It is super convenient being inside the airport. A very kind porter took us thru customs and to our hotel. Day 2: We had breakfast and went down to the airport for our flight to Whitehorse. We were picked up by Northern Tales and taken to the BestWestern Goldrush hotel. There we got our rental clothing and our rooms. That night we had our first attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day three: we were taken on a City tour then to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where we saw Caribou , Mule Deer, Mountain Goats, Moose, and Bison. After the Preserve a short drive to Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs. My husband and mother in law enjoys the hot springs more than I did. I expected bigger deeper pools. That night another attempt to view the Northern Lights. Day four: We were taken to the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation for Husky Rush. We were taken dog sledding by an expert and team of dogs. It was amazing. The dogs were super excited and making lots of noise up till they started moving. Then they were completely quiet. We traveled across frozen lakes and thru wooded areas on trails. After we were around a fire eating Bison Sausages and drinking hot tea. In the evening we had our third attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day five: we had snowmobiling. I have been on a snowmobile but it was decades ago. My husband and mother in law had never been on one. We all got great instructions before we started out. One guide in front and one in back. We stopped about half way for hot chocolate and a cookie and photos. Then our trip back over frozen lakes and thru wooded trails. That night our last attempt to see the Northern Lights. Day six: The next morning was our flight back to Vancouver. We were picked up and taken to our hotel. We stay the night in the Pan Pacific Hotel. A very nice hotel in the heart of Vancouver. Day seven: Next morning we were picked up and taken to the airport for our flight home. All pickups and drop-offs planned by Fresh Tracks. We had zero issues and had a wonderful time even though we didn't get to see the Northern Lights. It was just too cloudy. We had a blast dog sledding and snowmobiling. Everyone we dealt with were super friendly, personable and professional. We'd recommend Fresh Tracks to anyone. read more

We just finished a coast-to-coast vacation coordinated by Fresh Tracks Canada. The entire trip was flawless, we didn't have any issues at all through the entire three-week trip. We loved the scenery and outdoor excursions and the Fairmont hotels were truly an experience that we were glad we did. The trains were fun. Our limousines were prompt; the driver's courteous and helpful. The guided tours during the day were very enjoyable. My favorite part was the Rocky Mountaineer and their staff. Very professional group. Our advisor started with specific questions to build our 30-day trip from Utah to east coast Canada to Alaska and home. We had amazing hotels, Via Rail Premium sleeper car, excursions, meals, cruising thru Alaska (looking forward to another Alaska adventure) and the staff on Via Rail for our 4 days of sleeper car train experience and dome car viewing, were simply outstanding. The ladies made sure our every whim was met, wine, hors d'oeuvres, the most intriguing conversations with them and their experience working with Via Rail. Our meals were delicious and any snacks we desired along the way, the staff made sure it was available or, when we stopped in Winnipeg to refill supplies, they were kind enough to grab a specific treat we may have had a craving for. We have all of our pictures scrolling on our viewer in our living room and we continually talk about our trip and the life-time experience we enjoyed. Would HIGHLY recommend using them again. read more

I highly rececommend this business. Two of us traveled first from Vancouver, B.C. to Toronto and after two days on to Montreal and then one day down and back day to Quebec City, all by train. Fast Tracks bought our tickets, booked our hotels and arranged for us to be picked up and delivered at each spot including when we arrived in B.C. and our plane departure from Montreal. The cost was reasonable and the service was outstanding. We had our travel 'agent' who arranged the trip and then gave us our trip contact and then at each place we had a local content in case for pickup, delivery, hotels, etc. The accommodations on the train and hotels were lovely and there was never a missed pickup. We were provided a day-by-day itinerary (even if they weren't doing anything for us that day) that provided a few details as we traveled. They were easy to work with, the train was so much fun and we were left to do what we wanted. Great trip! read more

We had an amazing experience enjoying the Canadian Rockies by rail and bus with fabulous views and tours of rivers, lakes, and glacier by hiking, boat, skywalk, ATV glacier vehicle, and gondola. The food was amazing, the service superb, and the hotels gave us complimentary upgrades three times. Tour guides were knowledgable and friendly and Fresh Tracks coordinated it all with ease and professionalism. We were lucky as the last tour of the season in many areas, with clear Fall weather and beautiful foliage colors . We have wonderful memories and photos to remind us. As expensive as it was, I am sure we received much greater value than we actually paid for. I highly recommend Fresh Tracks and doing everything they offer. read more

Fresh Tracks planned a fantastic trip for us through the Canadian Rockies, Pacific NW & Victoria. It was very well organized & we had a lot of fun. We covered a lot of 'ground' in a short time. We had very nice hotels, some with upgraded rooms. We traveled by train, bus, ferry & air through BC & Alberta. For the most part, everything went according to the itinerary, although we did have a couple of glitches ( not Fresh Tracks fault but airline). Fresh Tracks reps were very helpful in finding a solution. We actually booked this trip a couple of years ago, but had to reschedule due to Canada closing due to COVID. We were offered a full refund at that time, but we are glad we chose to reschedule. I also had a lot of questions before traveling which were promptly answered either over the phone or by email. read more

Do not use this company. Lost a significant deposit from these jokers. Covid caused the terms of our rail sleeper car service to be cancelled on our Eastern Canada Fall Rail Tour. So they gave us a few options none of which was acceptable to us, so we cancelled. They basically said tough luck no refunds we didnt have trip insurance since it was an exorbitant price and who could have predicted this Chinese Virus mess. All through spring and early summer we had zero communication and updates. At this point, I have no idea if we are even allowed to enter Canada. Our attorney couldn't help since Fresh Tracks is a Canadian company (not subject to US laws). I would sue them if they were a US company - I might add that I have never sued anyone or any company ever so I don't say that lightly. What a total waste of time. US visitors beware - spend your money here in the USA. I would NEVER recommend this company and they really have caused me to never plan travel to Canada again. I will only deal with reputable companies. read more

I had a trip almost completely planned by Fresh Tracks Canada to the Canadian Rockies. I had to wait way to long to get my phone calls returned and my email responded to, and this was before I put down a deposit. I wasn't going to take any chances on putting money down, being committed, then having bad customer service. I have never worked with a travel agency with such a slow response time. I never usually use a travel agency like Fresh Tracks but was glad we did. We had so many events we wanted to do and a little bit different time duration in each place. It was worth it. There was a forest fire that originally was going to impact our plans and in the end it didn't but we felt ok because we knew fresh tracks was on the case. Very professional and no matter who you spoke with they all knew what was happening. It's a bit pricey-but we did lots on this trip so when you add it all up it just makes sense to use them. We booked in February 2020 with Fresh Tracks Canada for 23,000 US dollars a train trip (VIA RAIL) from Vancouver to Toronto in summer 2020 and paid a deposit of 7,300 US dollars. Fresh Tracks informed us in May that the trip was cancelled because of Corona. They "offered" to book the same trip in 2021 against an immediate payment of 4,900 US dollars or there would be a price increase of 5 to 8% (Note: inflation rate foreseen to be of the order of 2% only). We could not accept because of our ages. Fresh Tracks refused to reimburse the deposit (we were lucky not to have given them the additional 4,900 US dollars; they would have been lost too!). Quote from the owner: "Consider that last year 22 million people visited Canada, most of them from April to September - then imagine the economic impacts on all the businesses that depend on that when that number of visitors turns to zero. Refunds are just not possible on a mass scale such as this". In other words: tough luck for you, customer, good opportunity for me, the owner of Fresh Tracks Canada, for making money without effort. We should have read the assessments of Fresh Tracks by their own employees on Glassdoor.ca : "all they care about is making as much money as they can. I feel guilty about how much we rip off customers", "terrible management, overworked, they don't care about the clients only the profits, no longer an actual travel agency as its more of a call centre"... We would have realized that Fresh Tracks Canada is the travel agency to avoid at any price. One star is much too much for this company. ZERO star is a maximum! Avoid them! read more

We we looking to do a cross-Canada train trip. I loved that their site says"Our experienced Canadian Insiders will create a personalized trip plan for you that matches your travel style, schedule and budget." I call, and tell an agent exactly what I am looking for. They tell me they will have a customized itinerary in a couple of days. Next day I have an e-mail with an itinerary. I should be happy with the fast service but it is nothing like what I had asked for. I write back explaining again what I am looking for, and then made 3 specific asks. I get a response that afternoon completely ignoring two of my requests, and for the third I get the itinierary I am looking for with a bunch of add-ons I don't want and a ridiculously high price. I write back again restating my 3 specific asks. The first response I get is that third time is the charm. That afternoon I get an e-mail stating " I will not be able to help you out with your group. At Fresh Tracks we specialize in custom vacation packages which allow our guests access to our negotiated rates for rail, accommodation, sightseeing and transfers. A key piece to our supplier relationships is the requirement to incorporate their services within a packaged trip. So with your group plans for us to provide so few it just would not be feasible for us to provide the standard and the best experience possible." They will personalize a trip you you their way, not your way. They will customize for you as long as you buy their add-ons to maximize their profit without regard to your needs or wants. Their communications contained misstatements and factual errors. And any funds paid are non-refundable despite the trains, main tour, and hotels all having cancellation/refund policies. We booked a Canadian Rockies Train adventure for June. We took the train from Vancouver to Jasper, a bus to Lake Louise..and Banff...then a shuttle to Calgary to fly home. First off Fresh Tracks delivered everything they promised. Problems: They grew impatient with my questions with booking...yes I had a lot but once you sign on the dotted line you are 100% committed. So I needed to make sure. In the end,​ it simply wasn't the fantastic vacation we thought it would be. There was simply too much time spent on buses - something I'd cautioned I didn't want to do. I was told they would be small shuttle buses that I was told would stop wherever we wanted along the way to take pictures etc. They weren't. They were large tour buses that stopped at pre-scheduled stops along with the rest of the fleet. Each time one of our bus drivers stopped, ​he would bark at us that we had 10 minutes no more, don't be late. You're dealing with multiple buses making the same stop, loads of folks all trying to see the same thing. Not fun especially with unrealistic timelines. Overall, just not a great trip. Maybe it was the time of year, it was packed everywhere we went and we felt like cattle. Would I recommend this trip? NO!! Rent a car and drive yourself, and don't go in June. read more

From start to finish, from original contact to final assistance, Fresh Tracks is the best travel organization we have ever dealt with. Our initial contact - Richard - took the time to get our needs and desires straight. And there were many of them - a seventeen day cross-Canada trip by train with a side tour to Hudson Bay to view polar Bears in Churchill. Every hotel we stayed in met our criteria, the transfers were all in place and went without a hitch (11 of them), the train accommodations were exactly as advertised and the service/food was first rate. They say you get what you pay for. In this instance, we paid for a lot and we were not disappointed. Best of all, at the end of the trip, we noticed a pricing discrepancy and Fresh Tracks made good on it without argument - this, courtesy of our actual contact during the trip, David, who took Richard's place after the itinerary was set. Polite, prompt, completely honest and a true pleasure to deal with. If your travel plans include Canada (and I hope they do, it is a magnificent country), call Fresh Tracks.
