In trying to reach this travel agent for clarification on certain issues, this agent is always unavailable, does not return prompt phone calls, the office is unresponsive, or voice mails are not returned. Furthermore, a name change was required on one of the airplane tickets as it did not match the passport. After numerous calls to reach Didac Bermejo Ras, I was told by him that this could only be done three days before departure, which I found unacceptable as this was leaving things to the last minute in case there were complications. Didac Bermejo Ras was unsympathetic and told me my other option was to cancel the ticket, which was non-refundable and re-book and pay again, which was also unacceptable. I contacted Air Canada directly and they changed the name within the same day. I find Flight Centre failed miserably in providing a stress free quality experience. They are inaccessible if you need to reach them.

He was very rude to me and did not care about my concerns of arriving in Indianapolis at a certain time or my questions about the current COVID traveling protocols. I would have to keep asking him questions about my concerns just to get an answer from him. After the booking, he sent me emails with vague information about the currently COVID traveling protocols. I had to call Flight Centre and get another employee to explain to me how the currently COVID traveling protocols worked. When I called Andrew Stafford (the manger of the Kitsilano Flight Centre) and explained calmly about my experience of booking a flight with Didac, he accused me of attacking Didac and his employees. I am absolutely devastated on how Flight Centre has treated me and will never use their services again. Do not book your next flight or vacation with Flight Centre.

I had high hopes after…read moreattending a promotional event at the Vancouver Women's Club however that was the end of "wow" factor. Our agent was Susan who boasts lots of experience. We were happy and excited to working with her but it wasn't long before all that ended. We asked her for guidance on which area and resort to visit. Her attempt to inform us was vague and disorganized. She already had certain hotels that she wanted to recommend.... but we hadn't even decided on the geographical location yet. Then when it was time to talk about resorts, she pushed really hard on certain resorts... some that we had been to before (and wouldn't visit again). We did our own research and asked her for pricing and availability. It took weeks to hear back. And it was only partial information. I (the bride) couldn't stand it anymore and had to have my husband talk to her on the phone. We finally picked our own hotel with absolutely No help from Susan... but then the confusion and incompetence began with booking us and our guests. She could not figure out that we wanted to arrive two days early... "there is no package for 10 days" etc.... book separate flights then! We had to walk her through how to help us book into an unusual vacation length. Next was booking in our Guests. She was supposed to have a handle on this... "we wouldn't have to follow up with anyone" that was part of what they promised. But that didn't happen. Manu of our guest had difficultly getting payment or requests to her. And I guess she was afraid to pick up the phone in certain cases but in one instance she was going to charge the room to another guest who had the same last name... ya they are related, but that doesn't mean they are paying together! There are other examples of her inadequate service, but I won't go on. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the service rendered at Escapes. They received quite a bit of $$ from our trip and none of it was deserved. I considered so many time foregoing our deposit and going elsewhere but I stuck it out. The important thing is that we made it through. The wedding and the vacation were amazing but this was certainly not because of escapes. The were a pain to work with and inhibited the creativity in the planning process... not recommended!

Located near the end of Chinatown, on Pender Street, I found this place back in the middle of 2006. When you go in, you see 7 - 8 big desk, one on each side. The funny thing is the sign above each desk, as they tell you what language the agent at that desk can speak. Most of the Asian language's are covered. I have to give credit to the one person that has helped me for all my travel needs for the past 4 years. Her name is Carrie, and I have recommended her to a number of my friends and collegues. She has always been helpful getting quotes for flights for me, and she also looks at other dates to try to save me money. All the quotes that I have been give are always after tax, and she has been able to beat online prices. Also the convience of dealing with payment over the phone, and emailing me the itenerary has been great. If you plan to book your next flight, give this place a try, I'm still using it to this day. Also if you are flying to Asia and you need a China Visa, they can help you do it for an extra $10, which is way better than you wasting your day (and your life away) at the China embassy trying to get one!

A special thank you to Helen and Heather of the Vancouver office. Your patience during our planning stage was appreciated. Katie, our tour leader in Japan, was fantastic. Her enthusiasm and caring for our every need was amazing and she helped make our trip a success. Hiro; the local guide in Tokyo, provided valuable information that assisted our understanding of Japanese history. We also appreciate that Laurus honored our reservation in China and provided us with an individualized tour even though we had reserved a group tour. Jacob, our tour leader in Beijing, was exceptional. Full of knowledge and a great personality that welcomed us to China. Jacob has excellent people skills and over meals he provided us a glimpse into day to day life in China. Paul, in Xi'an, was warm and helpful. He is very kind and helped us to appreciate his hometown. Very energetic and enthusiastic with deep knowledge of his subject matter. Luna, in Chengdu, was also a great Laurus representative. You can tell she loves what she does and we will always remember her joy at seeing the pandas. Each member of the team contributed to making this the trip of our lifetime. Thank you! 17 Day China Golden Route Tour with Laurus Travel, Vancouver, BC…read moreWe just returned from a truly memorable trip made possible by the professional and caring staff of Laurus Travel. We are seasoned travellers with little experience on group travels. We had chosen Laurus from the flawless on-line reviews. We never regretted the choice. From start to finish, we felt coddled and never once anxious. The itinerary was well executed by their professional tour leader (Jacob Wei), the knowledgeable local guides in the respective cities, and the cautious drivers who navigated often congested traffic with skill and caution. The hotels were first class and the food plentiful. The trip exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to travel with Laurus again.

But the second time was a disaster. The clerk said she could not give me a Fedex box to fit my laptop because they are only for air courier and this label was for ground. OK, I guess. So she took a padded bubble envelope as the packing, then put it inside a leftover Aritzia box that was larger than the item. Mind you I paid $5 for this packing service. Then she processed the label. I got a video today from the laptop repair service showing that the computer arrived at the shop significantly damaged due to bad packing. So now I am out an entire laptop. Never use this shop. They don't know what they are doing.

I was on time for a 9:00am opening, as I had to pick the package up and head straight to work from there. No one came to open the store - I waited until 9:55am and STILL no one was arriving to open the store. I had to leave as I was getting cold, too late for work and parking was getting expensive. Several other people came and went. I checked the reviews and sure enough, SEVERAL people have complained about this company and its poor service and tardiness. I called Mayfair Services at 10:30am when I got to work and the person (i believe he was the owner) who answered, informed me that the late opening of the store was a "one-off" incident - which clearly wasn't the case based on the reviews. This company DOES NOT CARE about anyone else's time and is extraordinarily poorly run. If you post hours of operation on your door, ensure you have staff be on time to open your store. Furthermore, my son's $750 3D Printer is still sitting, pride of place, in the front window asking to be stolen. An official complaint against this pathetic company, has now been filed with FedEx. Infuriating. Don't use their services...they are a total waste of time. ***Update*** I went back at lunch hour to collect my son's package. I gave the guy my Door Tag number and he gave me the package. Once I received the package, I let him know how unprofessional I thought his business was and that he totally wasted my time. He told me to "Get Out" and called me an "Asshole". Lovely. Don't use this company - all the poor reviews very much track with my experience today.

Very bad business practice…read more We booked a 3pm tour. It was the last day that we are in Vancouver, we would be flying home that night. At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing!
