I really enjoyed my stay here. I am from Dallas and was visiting family…read more I arrived at 1AM on a Friday night, and luckily a room was available. The lady was courteous and answered any questions I had. I was super impressed, the room was only $45! For that price it's a great value. The bed is huge and very bouncy, the pillows are firm which I prefer. There's a flat screen tv with cable and HBO, a microwave, AND fridge. The AC unit works extremely well and actually got TOO cold, I had to turn it off. The restroom only has two bars of soap (but of course, 2 of each towel), so you may want to bring your own bath accessories. This motel is in a very small and old historical town, so everything here is very dated. This doesn't compete with a Westin or Ritz, but for location and value you get your money's worth. I will likely be staying here again if I visit Marlin in the future.

It was hard to breathe while in the room, so we had to switch. It may have carbon monoxide issues. The second room was filled with crickets outside the room, inside the room and inside of beds. This room - room 215 had bed bugs, house flies that kept attacking me and spiders in the room and beds. I kept on waking up to flies on my face and arms and being bitten by invisible bugs. This is after in covered my whole body with bug spray. And I found a cricket in my sheets. Also brown eggs on the sheets and inside the threads of the comforter. The sheets were also stained, had what looked like vomit in the base sheets on the side of the bed. The toilet kept flushing itself. The bathroom was missing tiles on the floor. When changing my clothes before switching to another room, an insect leg fell out of my clothes. The third room had spiders in the bed, tape inside the comforters, hair and stains on the bed. It looked like it had urine on a corner of the bed. The room phones, we had to fix before we could even call the hotel management. The cable does not work either. The property is grossly under maintained.

The clerk could not find my TripAdvisor booking even with the confirmation number and booked my room manually, after which he found my TripAdvisor reservation and then proceeded to try to burden me with the responsibility of fixing his mistake by calling into TripAdvisor to get my TripAdvisor reservation canceled, instead of him just reversing the second booking he did. I calmly told him that I could do that and that he needed to reverse what he did, which he reluctantly did. The first card key he issued did not work so I had to go back in again to get another card. Not a problem, except that it was like a million degrees outside and my wife was suffering with a horrible migraine and needed to lay down in a cool room ASAP. Once we got into the room we were hit by a wave of heat and old musty smell, which cause my wife to started gagging. The first thing that my wife saw was a spider on the bed she was about to lie down on. Throughout our one night stay I think we killed five or six spiders and I woke up about 4:00am with a very itchy bite in my leg. The beds were not comfortable at all and my back was killing by the time we got up in the morning. The AC was about the only thing that I can say was satisfactory. I will not be staying here again.

And on top of lacking on basic customer services the guest laundry room was out of service so no laundry could be done thank god we had a bathroom in our room public facilities downstairs were also out of order wish I could say at least the food is good but I can't breakfast was sad options were extremely limited and they didn't have half the stuff they are supposed to offer needless to say we will be staying elsewhere next time we come to Corsicana and if I could get a refund I would
