What really sets this hotel apart is the staff--they are consistently friendly, courteous, and very helpful. However, during my most recent stay, I did notice an unusual number of flies in the common areas and even had one in my room. I'm not sure if this is a temporary issue affecting the Jewett area or specific to the hotel, but it would be helpful if management could look into it and consider placing fly traps to combat the issue.

The place is quiet and has covered parking right outside your door. Each room is a separate building, so turn up that tv. When my husband complained an asked to have his room cleaned, the owner threaten to sic his dogs on him. The dogs are allowed to roam around your room when you are gone, leaving hair everywhere. My husband found the owner had gone through his personal possessions. When my husband had finally reached his wits end, the owner locked him out of his room and prevented him from leaving. My husband had to call 911 on this horrible man to help him retrieve his belongings. The police said they had had numerous complaints about this man/manager!This owner/manager is very strange and tries to bully people with his dogs! He is not personable and knows nothing about customer service, or, the proper way to run a business. Horrible management. Horrible experience. UPDATE: Now he's trying to steal money from us! I've heard he's done this before. We have a receipt and the police on our side!
