All the vents are cracked and it makes a rattling sound This is just not Hilton quality Hampton Inn quality. It's like an original Hampton Inn would've looked when it was originally built back in the day and never touched again, unhappy and disappointed.

What really sets this hotel apart is the staff--they are consistently friendly, courteous, and very helpful. However, during my most recent stay, I did notice an unusual number of flies in the common areas and even had one in my room. I'm not sure if this is a temporary issue affecting the Jewett area or specific to the hotel, but it would be helpful if management could look into it and consider placing fly traps to combat the issue.

The clerk could not find my TripAdvisor booking even with the confirmation number and booked my room manually, after which he found my TripAdvisor reservation and then proceeded to try to burden me with the responsibility of fixing his mistake by calling into TripAdvisor to get my TripAdvisor reservation canceled, instead of him just reversing the second booking he did. I calmly told him that I could do that and that he needed to reverse what he did, which he reluctantly did. The first card key he issued did not work so I had to go back in again to get another card. Not a problem, except that it was like a million degrees outside and my wife was suffering with a horrible migraine and needed to lay down in a cool room ASAP. Once we got into the room we were hit by a wave of heat and old musty smell, which cause my wife to started gagging. The first thing that my wife saw was a spider on the bed she was about to lie down on. Throughout our one night stay I think we killed five or six spiders and I woke up about 4:00am with a very itchy bite in my leg. The beds were not comfortable at all and my back was killing by the time we got up in the morning. The AC was about the only thing that I can say was satisfactory. I will not be staying here again.
