The area that is the Main area and I guess dining room, is disgusting. It's got trash all over the floor. It's dark. It doesn't look warm or inviting when you come in off the road after being traveling all day long front desk roll super great love her. I did get moved to another room. It was set on 60° so you walk in it's freezing, but it still has that damp feeling and paint is disgusting. It has scratches and marks all over all the walls not just like coming in and out of the door, the metal on the lamps is corroding on the first room that I was sent to and then even on the second room that I came to it just overall needs cleaning deep cleaning updated.and a fresh coat of paint goes a long way, and the floors need to be swept, but the HVAC systems need to be worked on as well. They're running off window systems when it looks like they tried to install HVAC systems in each room. The window system is all cracked. All the vents are cracked and it makes a rattling sound This is just not Hilton quality Hampton Inn quality. It's like an original Hampton Inn would've looked when it was originally built back in the day and never touched again, unhappy and disappointed.

My mother and I stopped in for the night as we were to attend a wedding the next day. They greeted us when we arrived, showed us around and left us to our night. In the morning breakfast was cooked to order and when I say it was perfect, oh my! And I am the breakfast police lol! The place was very clean, quiet, well maintained and just decorated so very well!!! The couple that owned the place were perfect, nice, more than accommodating, sweet, warm and most of all competent-- they weren't overbearing. It was my first B&B stay, so I had my reservations of course but the BAR IS SET!!! If I'm ever in Palestine again, this is where you'll be able to find me & I really wish my family had just booked the entire B&B, that would have been SO spectacular!! Thanks guys for the amazing stay!

I would recommend to stay here based on how clean it was and the comfort of the bed. Also it was quite. We didnt visit the pool or hot tub. We only stayed the night. The price was reasonable.

That said, the baseboards could use more thorough cleaning, and the sofas are showing noticeable wear and could benefit from an update. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff--they are consistently friendly, courteous, and very helpful. However, during my most recent stay, I did notice an unusual number of flies in the common areas and even had one in my room. I'm not sure if this is a temporary issue affecting the Jewett area or specific to the hotel, but it would be helpful if management could look into it and consider placing fly traps to combat the issue.
