Can't say I am all that impressed though. Red Velvet Cupcake - The frosting is so sweet and the Cake a little on the dry side. I like my Cakes to be moist. They're pricey too at £2.65 a pop. I thought paying the equivalent of £1.90 - £2.20 a Cupcake was a lot in California but I can't say I didn't expect it here in Britain as everything is more expensive. I do like the location of the Bakery, right near where my Hubby used to work and less than a mile from our beloved Thai Van (best Yellow Chicken Curry in The City btw!). Aside from the regular sized Cupcakes they also sell mini Cupcakes (£1.35) Brownies (£2.50-$3.75) and Whoopie Pies (£3.25) as well as whole Cakes from Sponge (£22 upwards) to Cheesecake (£26) and Pies (Pumpkin, Pecan, Mississippi Mud (£32-£36) ect. *There are also 3 other locations around London with the newest being in Islington in the Angel Building as well as a Food Truck (look at me becoming all ''American'').. or Van I guess I should be calling it that serves local Festivals.

Delicious, muffin-sized cupcakes every Saturday!…read more The one that sticks in my mind the most was the Elvis-themed cupcake I had a few months ago, featuring peanut butter, candied bacon and chocolate. Maybe slightly too rich, but great for sharing! Possibly because of the bacon and the name, this place feels a bit American; I mean that as a compliment though. Although cupcakes are a bit overdone, this place beats the boring standard (Hummingbird) and is well worth a visit (as is the surrounding market, which I feel is more fun on Saturdays than the busy, touristy Sundays anyway). Most importantly... follow them on Facebook; they reveal a mystery flavor every week and the first few people to ask for it by name get it for free. This used to work well, but no guarantees - if they've become too popular you may have to get there early.

La crème de la crème, top of the class, A++++++++, top notch, first class - need I say more?! I gave them my vision (handbags and stiletto shoes on a beautiful vanilla cupcake), and boy did they deliver!!! I had my dream cupcakes, making my 30th one to remember - a real show stopper. As well as looking so beautifully perfect, the flavour was sensational (not dry and jam packed with flavour - I can see why they call themselves "Flavourtown"). Just amazing!!

Back then, they were big on the red velvet cake - a cake I never really got the point of until I had it here. Now, I enjoy going there for all sorts of treats. Their savoury toasts, their sausage rolls, their incredibly dense brownies, their beautiful chocolate shells & just recently great t-shirts for baking lovers. It's a really cute place and they also do all sorts of cakes by order. If you have a sweet tooth or if you like decadent toasties, stop by!

Problem being it hard to sample the raved about baked goods if you don't want to bulk order from there online bakery. Tucked away in a little courtyard is their little cafe is only opened once a week, on a Sunday, the same day as the Colombia Flower Market so if makes a nice day out. The counter if filled with cupcakes, pastries and freshly made savouries such as vegetarian sausages rolls and tomato and onion tarts. Seating is limited so you are lucky if you get a spot in the sun on a nice day. I had the Blackberry apple cupcake as suggested by the lady that was serving me. One of the best I've tried in London. Moist and not overly sweet. Good frosting to cake ratio . I would definitely recommend

The decor is v different - quite jungle-like with lots of wood and greenery - more welcoming to lie about in, certainly. The menu here is smaller but of high quality and beautifully presented. And then the cats of course! Especially glamourous looking - Misty with her huge eyes and Nunu with the luxurious fur. I was also excited to see 4 teenytiny brand new Ragdoll kittens. In general I'm happy with moggies, but it's fun also to see pedigree cats like the ones here -they are so dang pretty! Thoroughly impressed and can't wait to return :D

Having grown up in a car to with lots of stray cats and dogs, finding some to cuddle was super easy. Now I have to go to a cat cafe for that. Anyway, I made a booking through yplan for me and the boyfriend, it seems most people there were couples as well so it must be a popular satin idea. I'm glad he loves cats too so an hour there wasn't torture for him. We ordered a coffee and a tea and got warned the cats will try to steal the food. To be honest I did expect the cats to be more active. There were about 10 cats sleeping. Only one was awake and that one just tried to steal some cake from another group and then walked off. I assume being in that cafe makes them completely disinterested in humans and not phased if people pet them because they would just continue sleeping. Too much catnip? It was still nice being able to pet them but I would have preferred it if the cats actually showed any signs they liked it. Also the bf now wants a cat. It's a fun experience that I would recommend to go once. Or just visit some cat people.
