The cutest cake place I've ever been to! This little cafe has the homeliest feeling you will ever come across and you simply won't want to leave. As soon as you enter you'll be greeted with a big smile and the sound of laughter among the co-workers happily chatting away and buzzing about around you. The coffee is superb and dare I say it the cakes are even better. I had a large slice of the enormous carrot cake which was moist, nutty and simply heavenly. There is no better way to refuel after perusing the flower stands than sitting here with a coffee in hand, and all the better if it's a nice day as you'll be able to sit outside in the sunny courtyard watching shoppers browse the vintage stores. They don't take card so make sure to have cash on you Can get pretty busy so may have to queue for a short while - totally worth the wait. Brings back such happy memories for me :)

Little bakery just off Columbia road !! Beautiful place and very friendly staff, outside seatings . I had a delicious banana bread with coconut ..... With a juice ( beetroot, apple, ginger) . So many little cake or triple brownies to taste . I must come back !!!

The cupcake and tea was tasty but the space is quite small so it's a little bit crowded. The place itself was so lovely and cozy. Also my friend take out a cupcake and they just put it in a paper bag without box. Eventually, the cupcakes were all smashed.

Nice coffee. Good food. Pretty overpriced and the complacent management doesn't take credit cards. Get the with the 21st century people.

Years ago, when I 1st discovered Columbia road market, I stumbled across this little bakery tucked away into a patio just behind the main road.

But inside this shop is an experience all its own. Those of us well into our adult years will still get that proverbial "kid in a candy store" sense when walking into a place like this. The immediate reaction is "I'll take one of everything". The number of choices and sheer number of chocolates displayed in a confined space are both exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. It was clear from the choices that this was a true artisan shop. In an act of fiscal and dietary restraint, we took away a half-dozen pieces. My wife always compares chocolatiers using their Chocolate Orange Peels (Chocolate Orangettes is what they called them at this place) as a benchmark. This place passed with flying colors. They also offered an intriguing Mango-infused Dark Chocolate with a pipet of Mango compote that you could inject before eating. It was also a highlight. The prices are fair for what this place is and the service is friendly, polite and efficient. If you are meandering up and down Brick Lane, this establishment is worth a stop. If you are a Chocolate fan, then this place is a must-stop. I guess there are people out there who are not chocolate lovers (or at least likers), but that is like not being a fan of oxygen from my perspective. I would like to stop again sometime to try one of the chocolate drinks. We opted to not get one this time on top of the candy pieces we bought to avoid the sugar overload. But they looked amazing from what I saw of others who did indulge.

They had a lot of different types of truffles which looked more simple compared to the fancy chocolate pieces that had little pipettes with flavored purée (which as raspberry & mango). Most of the chocolate seemed to be dark chocolate, lesser amount of milk chocolate, and a few white chocolate pieces. If you're around this store, stop in to grab a sweet treat!

It is strictly takeaway as there is really no place to sit and eat. The small shop is very straightforward with just a deli-like counter from which to see the goods and order. We were there on a very busy Saturday morning. We queued up in a line of people that extended out the door. They were pretty good about keeping the line moving, however, and we placed our order within 6 or 7 minutes of joining the queue. My wife had a Peanut Butter-Filled Plain Bagel, which she liked quite a lot. I had Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese on an Everything Bagel. It was very good. The service was very efficient and reasonably pleasant and the prices were quite fair. We will go back if we ever have the chance to do so in the future.

They are best known for their salt beef bagels. At the front, in their store window, premade salt beef bagels are ready to be fixed with either or both mustard and pickles. Various pastries/desserts are displayed in their counter ready to go. Note: no table seating inside, just counter tops. Ordered : Salt beef bagel- bagel warm, generous amounts of salt beef, mustard, and sliced pickles. The bagel was over slathered with a horseradish mustard, so much, that it overpowered the taste of the beef. Smoked salmon bagel without cream cheese- underwhelming. Bagel was cold and hard. I did not eat the top half of the bagel. Minimal amount of smoked salmon. The girl behind the counter looked like she could care less to be there and wasn't super friendly or helpful. All in all, happy to have tried it, not sure I'd come back again for more ...
