They were a team of professionals doing everything possible to ease my anxiety, I also greatly appreciated my friend Bill Sheridan for sitting beside me during the live auction and assuring me that it was going to be fine......well it was.....even better than fine. Brad knows how to do the job........ there were bidders for my stuff from across the country and around the world........Oh, sure I though some stuff went to low......however I was pleasantly surprised at how much stuff went much higher than I expected. Words just can.t express how satisfied that we are.......for Brad and his whole team of competent men and women.......if you have questions about who you want to have" your sale"....give me a call {517 290-2982} it is days like last Saturday that allow me to say that........ Very disappointed with our experience with Brad and Epic Auctions. When we met Brad, we had a…read morequote from a local coin dealer to purchase 12 ancient coins. Brad looked at our coins and gave us a range he felt he could achieve at auction. We discussed a reserve bid for the coins and Brad said he didn't do that as he was confident he could achieve the minimum he estimated. He sold us on his wide audience and his ability to attract potential buyers. His low range exceeded our offer in such that even after Brads commission we would have a higher return. We placed our trust and our valuables with Brad. Brad did not even come close to the minimum price he had provided to us and listed in his catalog. We gave him 12 coins, 2 sold for the minimum estimate. The remaining we so far off that as a whole, the auction only earned 40-% of the minimum Brad quoted to us. This is way below the offer we had in hand for the coins, and as a result we are out a substantial amount of money. I can't tell you how disappointed we are. I wish we had reviewed more closely previous auctions and compared the estimates to the price sold for similar items.

After interviewing a few auctioneer companies, we chose Wegner Auctioneers, and I'm very glad we…read moredid. The team was professional, sensitive to our situation (father had recently passed away), thorough, and honest. They worked tirelessly for days before the auction making sure items were cohesively grouped together and the presentation appealing. The day of the auction, they were ready with 3 auctioneers, food vendor, port-a-potties, and wagons organized. Never having participated in an estate auction, we didn't know what to expect - the experience was effortless for us, thanks to the expertise of Wagner Auctioneers.

He lied to us. And then person(s) on his team proceeded to take/attempt to take items from the auction that had been marked "No bid" on the itemization list he provided. The overall experience: unprofessional. All the advertising, though they printed the flyers, were done by family, even though he tells you he will handle that. We were informed that the crew would bring all items up from the basement, in which that didn't happen. We were told the crew would clean up the tractors before sale, that didn't happen. There was a lot of things this company will promise you that they will not do. The way this happened brought a family closer and not in the best way. We also had to do clean up after every one left! When the auction was said and done, I had never seen any one pack up and leave as fast as they did. Also, we aren't supposed to have to wait around until 9 pm for people to get everything that was purchased and help them load these things onto their vehicles and trailors, or even the next day! It says on the flyer that it should be settled and removed that day, and some one from the company should be there to monitor that! Be wary please, especially when you are doing this for a loved ones benefit! My advice: if you are currently dealing with him, back out now. Do not deal with Marty Wegner and Wegner Auctioneers! If could give them negative stars, I would.
