Driving around looking for this cider mill and got so much more!! Cherry Juice concentrate is completely awesome. That is the best cherry juice that I have tasted in a very long time. The apple pie I tasted it and it is very delicious. Apple cider is completely what I needed and I am so grateful that I have found y'all's place. I will definitely be back. I thought I walked out of there without my cider and thought I was gonna have to drive back. I know exactly where I need to go shopping for Christmas and summer and winter. The service immediately entering was dismal, there was no greeting, mid-day during the week, this happened on 3 different visits. The quality and selection has decreased somewhat. Joe Spencer stuffed figures are elevated in cost compared to purchasing direct. My husband pointed out bowls we own from Dollar Tree were also sold there for 6 times the cost. Exact down to the mark underneath. It's worth wasting an hour poking around on a rainy day, otherwise, save your money. read more

Our daughter ended up with the most amazing flowers for her wedding, and at half the cost of real flowers. She has an expansive knowledge of the flowers she sells. Friendly staff, however, coming from Detroit this was sadly not worth the drive. Haunted House 2/5 again quick less than 20 mins and not really scary whatsoever. Haunted Hayride 1/5 not worth it. Was hopeful with kids under 10. They are not that desensitized, but it was underwhelming. read more

I fell in love with the antique store here, it's a seperate building from the country store, which is also a seperate building from the mill and restaurant. What a cool little cluster of shops! I found a pair of 50's red shoes for $14 and a really cool vintage pinup poster for cigarettes. The poster is now at Michael's getting framed. I got it for $40 and I see a similar one on eBay going for $225. They have a lot of really cool teas here too I'm the antique store, and the nicest little lady working! I had so much fun poking around. The country store was huge with lots of xmas stuff for the season and Halloween stuff upstairs. The hot apple cider at the mill was delicious too. The past tense after dark was literally the experience. For a cider mill event, this was better than Halloween horror nights in universal with 5-10 minute lines. I was so impressed and me and my friends had an absolute blast. Keep in mind the scare is real though! Thanks for a good time Past Tense! In love! I haven't been to MI in months and was so happy to visit a place where there are things you can't just get everywhere else. First being, a cider mill! Not just a factory that makes cider, no...a place where you have a pretty water mill to enjoy watching while munching on some fresh donuts and cider. Item number two is: pasties! Usually I prefer them from the Upper Peninsula, but this cider mill had a restaurant and was so happy to see those on the menu. I passed up on the pasties, however, because I was told that the mill burgers were the must have. I obeyed. They were sinfully delicious. The restaurant itself is small, only housing a single row of tables, probably about ten tops. Service was very friendly, maybe a tad on the slow side, but just keep yourself occupied with all the fun stuff to look at on the walls! The price for the food was very reasonable. I drooled over watching a apple cobbler being brought to another table, but elected to try their something from their chocolate display instead. Their fudge is pretty up to par and their truffles are amazing! You could spend a pretty penny in here trying out all the goodies and buying other food spices, candies and mixes from their country store. There are picnic tables outside as well as a pretty coy fish pond out front. read more

The first time I went here we were seated and were never asked for our order after an hour. We left and I never went back for a couple of years. When I did return two years later, I ordered a Pizza and it was fantastic. Everyone else liked the food as well. I would give the pizza a 7 out of 10. Really good pizza. My first visit to Past Tense was awesome! I wish I would have found out about it sooner because there is so much to do, and it is such a unique little place that I would have taken my family there years ago. There are three main buildings. The country store is just plain magical! they have the most unique home decorations that I have ever seen. You can't find this stuff at Walmart or any other big box store. They have a whole building dedicated to silk florals, which is the largest selection I have ever seen. If you have a wedding or an event to decorate for, then you MUST go there. They have awesome garden statues and weather vanes and so much more I could write pages about all the cool stuff they have. The arts and Antique building was another extremely unique place. They have antiques and different artists set up things that they made. There are hand made soaps and candles and gourd birdhouses and all kinds of other unique things. They even have a huge selection of loose tea and you can pick out what kind you want and they will make you a cup of it right there. The cider mill restaurant is another unique place in the same theme as the other buildings. They have ice cream, donuts, fudge and all kinds of other goodies. We ate lunch there too and it was really good. The Pizza is phenomenal. They have take out and deliveries too!! To sum it up...Go there, you won't regret it! read more

I went into the Cider Mill 3 different times. The service was beyond lousy. We wanted take to take an order to go and after waiting over 5 minutes they informed us that it would be over a half hour.....for a restaurant that was nearly empty. When I called the main number, I was informed that the manager is out until July 15, and I could call back then. The person didn't seem overly concerned and acknowledged another incident. They do not seem overly concerned that they are losing customers. My family and I won't be back. read more

I decided to take my parents to have lunch. Big mistake. My dad ordered the special of the day, Hot beef sandwich. First off it was swimming in canned gravy, secondly the "beef" was anything but beef. It was nothing but poor deli grade "meat". My poor dad couldn't even hardly cut through it. He ate around it. We couldn't have the waitress do anything about it, because she never came back to the table. I had to find the coffee pot myself for refills. My sandwich was tasteless. My mom's chicken sandwich looked the best, but again had no flavor. We waited for the bill for several minutes, I finally went to the counter only to find out that she was gone! Not sure what the old posts are all about but this place was ENJOYABLE. We went there today, October 24th for lunch. My Mom came from out of state for a visit and we visited the antique store and the country store. Be warned! The country store looks small, but it IS NOT! You will be amazed with all the different things they have for sale. As for the restaurant, it was good! As some of the other posts said, the Pizza is DARN GOOD. We got the Apple Orchard Pizza and it was delicious! Service was not slow, they had two people working 10 tables, not a problem. Food came out at a reasonable time and they re-filled my drink three times in less than 30 minutes. After Dinner, we got Apple Cider and Pumpkin Spice Donuts to go and came home. Cider and donuts were reasonably priced and they had a lot more than donuts! They even had 1/2 gallons of Cherry Juice Concentrate, Pies, Cakes and numerous other treats to pick from.This was a good place to spend a couple hours and forget about the city life. We have been coming here for about 20 years. It is a treat to come here and the folks have always been super helpful. I buy something special for Halloween here each year and always come home with Christmas ornaments as well. If I lived closer, I would be there more! Ate in the restaurant for the first time recently and was very surprised at the size of their menu. Lot of selections, and my order was good.
