I have been coming to the Marlboro Free Library for over 20 years, primarily for the use of their Community Room. This library, and the people who work there, are really great.
I've got my own library locally to visit for books, reference material, periodicals, media, etc., but if I lived in Marlboro I'd be at their library often. Besides a good inventory of books, there's several dozen periodicals available, a movie library, several computers, and more. In this age of ever-increasing dependence on digital, they're keeping current. But what I really like is that they have a large children's area - it's important to get children interested in reading (and libraries) at an early age.
They have 2 large parking lots which can easily hold regulars and folks who might be attending a function in the Community Room. The bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained too.
The Community Room has enough space, tables, and chairs to accommodate several dozen people. Multimedia services are available. There's also a side prep room with a small but full-service kitchen.
I've always found the staff of the library to be extremely friendly and helpful.
You should take advantage of their occasional fund-raisers, such as their book sales too. read more
