We ordered pizza for Halloween. The staff and manager are working their butts off. The staff were still super friendly but you can tell they had everyone working that was available. Marks is a little higher priced than I prefer because we love cup and char and that is an added cost. Other local pizza places cup and char is the standard. Marks does have a loyalty club and coupons.. so it is reasonable with coupons. The pizza is typical Rochester style. The sauce is on the sweeter side which is what I prefer. I frequent this location for a few reasons: convenient location for pick up, they always have my order ready in less time than planned (hot!), I NEVER wait, the quality is good (my kids' & my students' preferred pizza place), and they give teachers a discount - Bonus! The sheet pizza is a great value and they will also give you paper plates and napkins on request. And the staff is great; they made me a special order when I arrived for pick up to discover I had made my order by phone to the wrong location. I have not had a "sit down" meal yet, but the dining area is roomy, clean, bright and has screens, if that's something you like. read more

2.5/5... I've ordered from this particular Marks quite a few times, (tons, in fact) and honestly I've had quite a different experience than the others who've reviewed it. It's right up the road so usually I go and pick it up, however we have gotten delivery a handful of times and it's never been late or anything. The reason for the lower review is the actual pizza itself. Inconsistency is their biggest problem, I'm assuming it's due to high turnover and having to constantly train new employees or something, but the pizza always seems so different each time... one time it will be swimming in sauce, the next time borderline dry. However more times than not it's the first one and I pray the pizza knows how to swim. Also the cheese amount is pretty much the same regardless, so when it's flooding, all you taste is a mouthful of sauce with an ever so slight hint of cheese. Really not what I am after when I crave a pizza. I gotta say, sometimes I'm excited by their pie, and other times I'm just left thoroughly disappointed. Although this is close to me, if I wanna play it safe and not gamble, I'm more likely to order from elsewhere lately. read more

Marks was hyped up by my girlfriend and her family on my last visit to the Rochester area for the holidays. We ordered a salad and pizza and it definitely lived up to its hype. I enjoy a thick crusted pizza because not too many places do it that way. It's different and always tastes delicious. I ordered take out so I didn't get to see what the restaurant looked like but they make a solid pizza. Ordered pizza and wings at 5:22. Delivered at 6:45. A dozen cold wings, forgot the hot sauce, no pizza. Store offered to deliver pizza which driver supposedly forgot. The receipt with the delivered wings had no pizza on it so it seems the manager threw his delivery guy under the bus. Highly disappointed in this places customer service. We placed an order at 5:02pm and were told a 45min to an hour wait for our sheet pizza and 2 orders of chicken tenders. Fine. We asked for it to be delivered and they repeated that back to us that it would be. *2 Hours* after this initial order and still no pizza. We called to check in and they confirmed with us, again, that it was to be delivered and soon. After another hour we drove in to see what was up and found our pizza was sitting on the shelf and had been for hours. They tried to say we had chosen pickup and it was our fault, but had confirmed with us *twice* via phone it was to be delivered. Wanted us to wait 15-30 minutes longer to remake it but would not give us a refund. Want to be lenient with holiday and football orders, but I work in customer service and it's just not acceptable. Worst Order ever from MArk's!!! My wife and I have been loyal customers at Mark's for more years than we can count, even spreading such favorable word-of-mouth about "they truly have the best pizza in town." We have had a couple unsatisfactory orders delivered to us in the past year, but still the pizza was pretty comparable to other pizza chains. Yesterday's order: Placed at 06:12:21 pm, Server 671, Ticket 1118601, was the worst of such from Mark's ever!!! In fact the worst of any, equal to the burnt pizza from Papa John's, before they left town. The Loaded Cheesy fries ordered could of been used as a place mat, and the cheese for pavement. All the fries were hard like potato chips, and the cheese, just plain hard! It had to be thrown away! The Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza was also very over cooked!! The crispy chicken was dried out and tough, and the cheese.....again....could be used as pavement! Nearly the remaining half was thrown out. The only good parts of the order were the Mozzarella sticks, Tuna Sub, and the 2-Liter Coke. All this on a $54.26 order. Would you pay for this? What Happened!!! Were was the quality control??? Marks mt read used to be my favorite pizza place! Until I ordered by delivery, a pizza with half white and half sauce and toppings. They charge you $3 for delivery and don't give that to the delivery driver. They expect the customer to pay a tip on top of that. I would expect that the $3 would and should go to the driver! Rediculous. Marks isn't doing their drivers any favors. And by the time I got my pizza it wasn't hardly hot or even that warm at all. The pizza and pizza bread was not good at all. Even after being heated in the microwave. Day old pizza is not good either. They have changed in their quality of their food. Plus their pizza is over priced. I will not be going back to marks. I ordered a whole cold sub after a very long day at the office. It says it comes with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I said no tomato, no cheese but yes to onions. and I asked for and paid for banana peppers. It was 13.49 for delivery of just that 1 sub. I waited 1 hr for the delivery and I was very disappointed on what I received. It came with 1 onion slice, 1 banana pepper and a ton of lettuce. I called to advise the manager about this " high price for tuna and lettuce" and not what I asked for on toppings. He said he was sorry and offered to make another one and send it over. I said forget it at that point, the last thing I was going to do, was wait another hour for the correction, to get here. The prices are high You don't get what you are supposed to get that are supposed to be standard toppings, especially, when you pay for added toppings. I won't be going back. First time calling this place. My girlfriend and I decided to buy a pizza around 9:30 at night. We live off Lexington on Planet Street. A guy answered, we asked for delivery and when he was told where we live he proceeded to ask his employees without us being on hold..."do we delivery to a, umm, planet street?
