There were speeches, dances, DJ's, and lots of delish food and drinks. It was a blast. My review is strictly on the banquet hall. The food and drinks were all bought by the birthday girl so I am not sure if the hall caters or not. The hall is located in a pretty unassuming area and I thought it was very small from the outside. As my bf and I entered into the main hall, we soon discovered that it belonged to another party. We then went downstairs where our event was held. That being said, there seem to be two main floors, both very large. The downstairs is quiet sizeable with a dancing area, buffet area and of course the floors washrooms.

The tartar was a good size for an appetizer and I liked the assortment of crackers. The roast dinner was a good size piece and the harvest vegetables were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as great as we had hoped for. While the hors d'œuvres were pretty good, the course meal was very luck lustre. The food definitely looked better than it tasted. My salad was decent. My steak was very tough, bland, and dry (more well-done when it should've been medium rare). My dessert was mediocre at best. I expected a lot more from a 5-star venue.

He had banter, could make drinks well (creatively added some small flair to a lot of the standard drinks that guests were asking him to make) and also gave professional suggestions whenever he felt appropriate. The other bartender (who had curly hair and looked really young) was, I assume, quite inexperienced. There were times throughout the night where I approached him and he was on his phone scrolling through youtube. He made me the wrong drinks twice which was funny. I asked him for a tequila sunrise and he gave me a sex on the beach. I ordered a shirley temple for my gf and he made me a bloody ceasar (which has tomato juice in it and isn't remotely similar to a shirley) LOOOOOOL. Had a good laugh. Didn't take it too seriously as it was open bar, but definitely felt like he could've used a bit more training or practice. Anyways, dinner was pretty good! Wasn't a big fan of the salad. There wasn't enough dressing. The ravioli was cooked al dente which was great and they brought out a giant bowl for anyone who wanted seconds or thirds. I think the short rib entree was the best. This place can host multiple events at the same time - I believe around 2-3. I like how they have coat hanging service right by the door. The washroom are big, spacious, well lit and clean. Evidently with the pandemic, COVID vaccination requirements are checked right at the door and masks are mandatory everywhere you go, except when you are sitting down and eating at the table. I like the open bar layout in the room I was in - it had a variety of drinks available and I love how it opens up to the grand lobby that's right beside it. This is perfect for weddings - doing some sort of mini photo booth; or birthday parties, where you can just hang around, mingle and see different table set ups. Inside the hall can probably host up to 15 tables or so. Great sound system, dance floor and high ceilings. I also like how they have spaced out the tablets are appropriate as possible to ensure social distancing. All the staff were also very accommodating and making sure each guests are served. It's tough nowadays with the pandemic to host large venues, but I'm glad Mississauga Grand was able to make everything easy to follow!

We were down to the Berkeley venues and the Rosehill Venue. We chose the Rosehill and we had an amazing reception. Wish we could do it over, it was so great. Our wedding reception was on Oct 11, 2015 with about 200 people. Had a cocktail style reception with food stations. The best thing for us was the amazing customer service. The owner is so nice and caring. I am extremely indecisive and he made me feel so calm and assured that everything would be fine on the day of. With all the vendors I had to deal with, it was so refreshing to get to work with someone who is calm, caring and really tries their best to ensure you have a great day. We went with Pe Se Catering for the food, they were fabulous, I keep hearing how amazing the food was. We did 3 food stations laid out throughout the venue. It worked well. Also had passed hors d'oeuvres which was nice as the venue is so beautiful and people could just spread-out and the appetizers came to them. We bought our own DJ and the sound system was perfect, our DJ was so impressed with the sound system, he still claims it is the best he has ever spun at and he spins all over Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. There are so many golden aspects of this venue. To name a few, leather sofa's, so nice for people who want to chill. Then the venue comes totally equipped, you don't have to rent anything! They have the tables, chairs (nice ones too) and all the cutlery- just something you don't have to worry about or pay extra for. From beginning to end, planning was made a breeze as Jey made everything so seamless. It is stressful trying to plan your big day but Jey made this an incredible experience for not only us but our guests and vendors as well. The options he has for decor, food, alcohol, in house lighting and speakers, table numbers, and so much more are endless. You won't even need to book additional decor (did I mention he has a floral arch and a piano?). Jey is a busy man, but he remains attentive to your needs and wants for your event. We were amazed at his willingness to help and adjust if there is something missing. His staff are also top tier and can handle a CROWD. (Especially the bartender that night, he held it down) On our event day, not only did Jey help the floor manager throughout the event, he was also monitoring the event ensuring that everything is going as planned and really going the extra mile to ensure that the guests are satisfied. Our guests very thoroughly enjoyed their food and desserts, beautifully set up by the team at Claireport.
