I went to two Sherwin-Williams stores with the specific purpose of buying a can of paint. They were determined not to sell me anything. First I drove to the store on Garners Ferry Rd. The only employee was a young girl, who told me that since this is for a truck, then I must go to a different automotive store that was miles away and unnecessary. I asked her to forget that this is for a truck. Please give me a can of whatever paint is capable of going on plastic and is all-weather. She could not tell me the type of paint I would need, but again told me the only paints that Sherwin-Williams sells that will meet my needs are at that other automotive branch. I left. Since another Sherwin-Williams store was nearby on Millwood Ave., I decided to try my luck with that store. I again found that the store was staffed only by one young girl. I told her I spilled some paint on my flatbed liner, and I needed an all-weather paint capable of going on plastic. She said she needed to call someone and ask. The person she called was that same girl at the first location, who told her that I must go to this automotive store. Of course, she could also not tell me as a customer the type of paint I needed for my project. So I came home. Sad that I will have to find my paint in the morning instead of having the paint on hand. I'll find the paint I need tomorrow, no help from Sherwin-Williams.

I just recently purchased paint from Sherwin-Williams. My company also has an account with them and…read morehas been doing business with them for years just not at this location. I purchased 5 gallons of paint in one gallon cans 3 gallons for my ceiling flat paint and two were for my bathroom walls. I Haven't been to this Sherwin-Williams in a while but since it was close to my house it was convenient and they were having a 40% off sale of paint so it seemed like nothing can go wrong. When I arrived the two employees were nice and welcomed me to the store. I told one of the employees when I got to the accounter what I needed. I told the clerk at the counter that I was painting a bathroom I wanted 3 gallons of white paint flat for the ceiling and for the base paint for the walls I wanted Satin for the shine. They put the order into the computer and all was well when I got home I noticed that the base shine paint that I requested satin was eggshell. Later on I went back to explain that I told them I wanted satin base not eggshell I ask if they can make it they told me that in that particular brand it doesn't come in satin I explained to them that I should have been told this when I was purchasing almost $300 worth of paint from their store. The clerk agreed. He told me he could make me two more gallons and take 50% off but I still would have to pay for the ones that he screwed up on which was $100 worth of paint on those two gallons that was incorrect and now he wants me to pay another $90 .He told me he couldn't do a return because his manager only can do that. But said that his manager was not working he texted his manager we waited and his manager never called back his employee I was told I would have to come back Monday to talk to the manager seems very inconvenience to me since the employee of this store misinformed me and gave me something that I did not ask for. Also very surprised that on a major sale a manager is not working or someone in that leadership role is not working either . I am very disappointed with this and expected higher expectations especially from Sherwin-Williams. I will be talking with my company perhaps they can change their account from Sherwin-Williams to Benjamin Moore and have better luck with that company.

Surface Specialists - Fiberglass Wall Repair - Before

This company offers to repair and resurface countertops. We received an estimate from the…read morefranchisee in May 2015 after he brought hardened samples of what the finished product would look like. The samples give the impression that the resurfacing material is harder and thicker than it is in reality. The job was scheduled several weeks in advance and the day before they were to arrive, they company rescheduled due to a mechanical problem with the technician's vehicle. The job was rescheduled. On that day, the technician arrived late. We were told that it was due to a traffic accident. The technician spent the first couple of hours repairing the loose laminate on our countertops and the next 9 hours applying the spray-on coating. The actual material resembled Krylon stone fleck spray paint (which you can buy at any home improvement store or Wal-mart for less than 1/10th the cost) with a protective polyurethane coating on top of it. The technician had to come back the next week to touch up a spot he missed and clean up the mess that was left on the top of some cabinet doors and drawers. He late again. Once again we were told by the office it was due to an traffic accident, yet when the technician arrived, he denied any traffic problems. This started our distrust of the company and our reevaluation of whether this product would hold up to its 2 year warranty. The technician did the touch up, but did not remove the residue from the cabinet doors or drawers. Most likely it was b because he couldn't. If the product is really only a Krylon-like paint, then once it dries on wood, it's can't be removed without stripping the cabinets. In either case, fast forward to mid-September - the laminate repair failed. A piece of laminate that had been repaired came off the countertop this evening. We were told once the repair was made, the coating would seal it, but that didn't happen because the coating is too thin to seal anything. (it is literally nothing more than spray paint). You can also still see the original seams of the countertops (one of the claims made by the company is the product is seamless). I could have spray painted the countertops for about $75 using Krylon stone fleck paint from Walmart, so as you can imagine, the $1,200 we paid doesn't seem legit. We would rate this company zero stars, but Yellow Pages.com requires we give it at least one star to post the review.
