Where else can you get this weeks Russian newspaper?

I love this place!! My husband said their roast chicken was the best he's ever had, and it's one his favorite dishes he gets everywhere. I got the daily special and for 5 dollars I got a really large bowl of what tasted like stroganoff without noodles, just big tender chunks of beef in a really amazing sauce. The whole place is fun to explore. I really like the Russian corner. They have produce, American cereals and all sorts of Arabic, Italian, Irish, English, Scottish etc goods. My husband and I made a whole date of it. If you go get some gelattito on the way out, it's only 5 carbs.

We have been loyal customers at Harvest for some time. It stops now. I would highly recommend shopping at Harvest if you're the type of customer that loves getting ripped off, or if you like throwing your money away. I noticed significant price fluctuations (bordering on price gouging) in their organic milk prices (Horizon, Organic Valley, and Kalona). On several occasions, the front register and/or manager have marked down the $8.99 - $9.99 prices when we have complained that it was significantly higher than other stores in the area. Organic valley now costs $8 per half gallon, and Kalona costs $7.29. In comparison, we can get the same products at Sprouts for $5.99. Harvest themselves were selling Kalona for $4.99 just a few months ago. I have heard all the excuses from the Manager, from being new to the market right down to low margins on high supplier prices. We are considering boycotting the store and lodging a serious complaint with their corporate offices. In the interim, I asked Harvest to completely shut down their supply chain and sourcing teams, and buy milk straight from the cows. Maybe this way they have a shot at staying profitable without ripping off the few loyal customers they continue to have. Harsh much? I think not.

Have watched the place build out so stopped today and essentially myself and two others had a pleasant stroll. Tiny floral shop as you walk in the door-new kinks are still being worked out. This was an epicurean adventure and dining here most important as shopping is too costly. No comparison to WF or Sprouts - first stop juice bar where I had watermelon lemonade and consumed 6 almond cookies. Wine selection amazing but I snagged a bottle of wine from Spain, looked like a jug of urine and IMO taste the same although I am not from Sweden and I don't subscribe to drinking my own urine as a health bonus. Decanting recommended but that won't help so maybe it will kill slugs. Next stop a beautiful ribeye-TBD on quality - exciting pork chops to tempt the grill but the grand revelation...macaroons. Bought six, consumed six. Not weighing today. Fresh veggies but flying to Calistoga might be cheaper-$6.00 for an artichoke. No security lurking and staff were pleasant and helpful. Fun place to roam

Bad, bad customer service.. I had seen the ads on the local newspaper and decided to give it a try since my favorite empanada place was closed on Monday and what a big disappointment! I walked in, the store looked ok, nothing special. I walked to the restaurant area and there's a couple of employees standing there, no customers so nothing to do.. the First Lady a see just looks at me and says nothing ok.. I move on to the other area. There's a guy playing with his cellphone and doesn't even acknowledge me.. so I ask him if I can have a couple of arepas and he's like ok what kind. Again no smile, no greeting. He starts making them and then I say if I can also have a cachapa.. I sit down and wait for a looong time. Finally they're done, I pay and take them home. Again not a thank you or even a smile.: I get home and try the food and what a big disappointment again. The arepas had no flavor, the meat was dry and missing flavor. He cachapa was ok, didn't look but but it actually tasted ok.. Will I ever return to this place? Hell No!!.. I spent close to $20 (5.50 each arepa & 6.99 for the cachapa).. and I can honestly say I could spend that much money somewhere else where they have better tasting food and MUCH better customer service!!

Purchased a small cheese pizza for my toddler and it was soggy , wet with the cheese sliding off. Home frozen pizza would taste better. The grocery store itself is mediocre, they don't have an organic produce section. Maybe only the carrots were organic. Walked out disappointed with only my soggy pizza purchase. They do have some organic boxed and frozen products. I cannot get everything I need from this store , so for that reason( and the pizza) I will not return.

80g! Find this in the back section with herbs that looks like a demon set it up. Just to the right of the fresh meat section.

Some of the prices are just ridiculous. Most notably the milk. It is much higher than the same brands at kroger or sprouts.

A lady shopping for flowers struck conversation and I mentioned what today was for me. A tough day. I had moved on to the bread section and a gentleman came up to me, he was holding two orchids and asked me which one I liked better. I picked the purple one. I thought it was random and was happy to help. When I was finished checking out, the gentleman and another employee came up to me and handed me the orchid I had picked. It turns out that the lady I had talked to earlier had told my story to the two employees at the first checkout. It brought me to tears. What a thoughtful and kind thing to do. Thank you so much! I had an extremely poor curbside experience at this location…read more I placed a curbside order scheduled for pickup between 1-2 PM. At 9:00 AM, the app showed my order as "ready" and indicated that my organic whole milk had been substituted, but it did not list what the substitution was. I also realized I needed to add one more item, so I attempted to call the store. I called the store over 10 times throughout the morning and no one answered. Because the order showed as ready, I went to the store to pick it up. Upon arrival, I again called curbside -- no answer. I was forced to go inside, which defeats the entire purpose of curbside pickup. The store was nearly empty of customers. Several employees were standing around; one was eating. I spoke to a person who appeared to be a manager and explained that I had been calling all morning with no response. There was no apology or urgency. I was directed to another employee who appeared confused by the order. When I asked what my milk had been substituted with, I was told 2% milk, which made no sense given that I ordered whole milk. When I asked why it wasn't substituted with another whole milk, there was no explanation. I was then told that whole milk was out of stock. I personally went to the milk section and found the shelf fully stocked with whole milk. I brought it back and showed the employee. He said it "must have just been restocked," yet no one had bothered to check before making the substitution. I was then told that nothing could be changed or added to my order, and that if I wanted additional items I would need to place an entirely new order -- while standing in an almost empty store. At that point, I was told I could place another order and the employee could shop it, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. I paid over $140 for a small order, received incorrect substitutions, could not reach anyone by phone, had to walk into the store anyway, and still could not get basic service or flexibility. For the prices Sprouts charges, this level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I will not be shopping at Sprouts again.

Awhile back I bought a package of pork chops. When I opened it up at home the top chop was nice, but underneath the other five pieces were not even chops. Four were 'kind of' pork steaks but mostly bone. The last one was all bone with a fringe of pork around it. Lesson learned; for pork chops I go to HEB. In the meat case my Kroger used to carry Nolan Ryan prime ribeye, they don't now, so now I buy steaks at HEB. Last straw. I bought a Heritage Farm whole chicken at Kroger because my granddaughter wanted beer can chicken for Christmas dinner. I opened the package to brine the chicken tonight, Christmas Eve, and the chicken was sliced stem to stern down one side exposing one side of the breast and the leg quarter flapping loose. If you have ever done beer can chicken you will understand the problem. It's Christmas Eve!! Have to go with it, maybe I'll try to sew the skin back together?? Lesson learned, I don't buy meat at Kroger.
