An absolutely wonderful surprise, delicious food, excellent service and great ambiance! Every bite was a delicious surprise, highly recommend.

I'm so glad I found this gorgeous restaurant before my trip to Paris so I could make sure I tried it here while on my vacation. It was really a delicious meal set in a very hip, funky and warm setting. The staff were great, the food spectacular and I couldn't really fault it here at all. I had the Spiced Chicken Samosa's for entree, and for my main, I had the very yummy Cheeseburger. Everything came out in good time and as asked for, and tasted so good, that I wish I actually lived in Paris so I could revisit often. If you think that while in France you must only eat French food, don't. Don't let that stop you from eating at places with fusion cuisines, because there are plenty of cool, modern restaurants with gorgeous flavours, and Market is one of them. Well worth the visit here.

The plus sides of Market are that the ingredients are very fresh and the cooked elements are done to perfection. The service was also excellent. The down side of Market is that it lacks the elegance of preparation that you expect of a Jean Georges establishment. For example, my tomato, avocado, and mango salad was composed of perfectly ripe and delicious fruit; however, it was a larger portion than necessary and it was swimming in dressing. My husband had the arugula, fennel, mushroom, and Parmesan salad. He said his salad was overdressed, too. For an entree, I had the ricotta ravioli. It was also heavily sauced. The menu at Market is a bit odd in that there is no clear concept. You can get chips and guacamole, pizza, or tuna tartare. I suppose there is something for everybody! Market has fresh ingredients and a bustling scene. It may be worth a try if you are in the area. I won't be rushing back next time I am in Paris.

    Steak

Not worth the price at all. The service was poor. I ordered my steak medium and it came well. They also prepared one of my sides incorrectly so I sent it back. While they were making me a new steak they didn't take back my side of mashed potatoes which got cold while I was waiting. They brought the asparagus back prepared wrong again so I just asked them to take it off the bill. When they brought me a new steak it was cooked properly but was unremarkable. They do accommodate gluten free but it's quite limited in options and the exciting things are all unavailable gf. Had the cheese plate but was unimpressed with that as well. I ended up paying 90 something euro for a mediocre meal at best. Wouldn't recommend. Try Le Florimond instead!

    Truffle pizza, black box sushi

Came for a week long visit to Paris. Best meal we both had while here. Came on New Year's Eve and had a prix fix menu that was so good. Service was great as well. Truffle pizza was really a shock at HOW good it was. Amazing really even if you're not a truffle fan. Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Highly recommend.

The service is wonderful, from the hostess to the maitre d' to the server, but the food was disappointing especially for the price. The bread was tasteless and too tough. The calamari was tough and chewy. The steak was not seasoned, it smelled gamey, and it was a little tough. The ravioli was too firm and a little on the bland side. Some parts of the ricotta were cold, it seemed like it was previously frozen. The wine was great and Matias, our server was the saving grace.

Foodies, stay away! This place is a joke. If you want modern food and ambience, go to Le Dauphine or L'Office instead.

It was fairly quick and nice service from the owner in an extremely small lobby area with dining upstairs evidently. Asked for chili sauce as it was right there and she fully understood but it was not included in my bag. Bummer. But it was a large serving well packaged in a big plastic bowl and lid with Saran Wrap for travel security. Lots of good veggies including bok Choy, ample tender beef with relatively little grissle, but did include a few very small chicken bones!!? They likely use chicken stock with the beef stock and glad I didn't eat them as I was loving it and eating fast. This is right next to Carnet De Voyage which was great too but closed at the time on Rue d Budapest. They had a pretty large menu translated into English.

So bizarre. Why did they not mention it before or at the time of our order?! It was as if they finished all the veggies for other tables and decided not to cook it for us! Half way into the meal! The dishes did not even come together! The chicken soup was huge and was served hot pot style. The broth was decent and thick. The eggplant veggie was good. Overall, it was an ok meal. Without the mishap of the green veggies, maybe it would've been better.

Mais je devrai y retourner bientôt. / I stopped in for a quick lunch and was seated in one of probably six different dining rooms, all with extensive decor. The servers were quick and efficient. It was unfortunate that all the servers, except the sommelier, were required to wear name tags. The roasted duck was very good. I found the Dim Sum menu was a bit smaller than I was expecting, but each taste was very good. And I was further surprised when the server placed salt and pepper on the table prior to the langoustine wonton soup. I believe that doing so changes the chef's design. But I will have to return soon. 2025 03 27. M1.

The funny thing about Tafa is I was drawn to it from a visual riding up the escalator thinking it was a noodle dive. Noodles were on the menu but it was far from a dive. The cozy eating eatery had some explosive flavor being produced. Tofu and duck were the choices and we were not disappointed. The duck was moist thanks to the broth/sauce that it and the rice were in. This was the lunch before full on window shopping and a tastier meal could not be had. Both the duck and tofu had generous portions. And again the flavor was epic. I'm not a shopper but I will shop there just to have that meal again. We also had the prawn tempura which was also off the charts tasty with the sauce that was supplied with it. This place is a hidden gem that if you make it to the galleries of Lafayette be sure to check it out.

The place was incredibly busy, and I was offered a seat at the bar. Water was served immediately, and handed a delightfully single page organized menu! Service was very attentive. I ordered: Aperol Spritz- which is the best one I have ever had! Edamame-as a starter. Veggie Ramen And mochi for dessert. The Ramen came out first which I was puzzled by, asking if I had ordered the edamame and a female waitress said yes it was on its way. She handed me an oversized bib to wear while eating my Ramen. It was absolutely adorable with fun graphic on the front. There were 3 different sauces you can add to heighten the spice of the ramen. And oh my heavens it was so good! Completely fresh ingredients.. a mountainous amount of veggies (no skimping here!) and all for 10€! Impressive! I couldn't finish it all, with the edamame arriving shortly after... but still managed to order dessert. Two mango + 1 cacao mochi. So darn good. I left incredibly happy, and full, and importantly with a smile on my face. Both the waitress and bartender/manager Thomas thanked me for coming in all with smiles! I will definitely be returning my next trip to Paris! I want to try the fish bao! And other cocktails that looked enticing!
