    Carneros Inn - Market
    Joanna R.

The Market was our go-to place for, quick breakfasts, afternoon snacks, items to compliment our in-room lunch, and anything else we could think of. We had a quick breakfast there one morning and later picked up a few meats, cheeses, and fruit for a lunch. Our favorite though was the prosciutto and provelone stuffed banana peppers! The manager, Lori, and her staff were so friendly, after only one trip they all knew our names and would ask where we were eating, how our day was going, etc. It made it a fun place to visit.

I loved the open kitchen concept--you get to watch the chefs in action--and even the bathrooms have unique details that make the whole restaurant feel special. Everything we ordered was delicious. The special of the day was shishito peppers with a balsamic glaze, and they were absolutely incredible. Sweet, savory, and perfectly blistered--I could have ordered another plate just for myself. The calamari was another standout. It was light, crispy, and fresh with a delicate batter instead of the heavy coating you often find elsewhere. We also ordered the Pork Chop Milanese, which was a generous portion and easily shareable. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes of the meal. The Ravioli al Limone was rich, creamy, and full of bright lemon flavor--definitely a must-order if you love fresh pasta. A few friends at our table have been on an Italian food kick lately and ordered the chicken, and it exceeded everyone's expectations. It was juicy, well-seasoned, and definitely not an afterthought on the menu. And of course, the pizza was a huge hit with the kids. It's always nice when a restaurant can make both the adults and little ones happy. The cocktails were just as impressive as the food--beautifully crafted, refreshing, and every drink we ordered was excellent. We dined with kids, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, seating us in a comfortable corner that made the experience much more relaxing. The service throughout the evening was warm, attentive, and never rushed. Between the inviting atmosphere, fantastic food, great drinks, and thoughtful service, Scala Osteria absolutely earns 5 stars. It's the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend!

When we asked, the waitress mentioned the espresso is poured on top of a grapevine? Anyways, when my friends were served they were given the wrong drinks. After they both tasted the drinks, the one who ordered the double espresso quickly realized what happened. Once the person who got her correct drink tried the greppa kiss, she was completely taken aback! There's alcohol in it, which isnt depicted on the menu at all and the waitress didn't mention this either until we asked. She should have mentioned there's alcohol as we had to drive back. As for the food, I couldn't choose between the gluten free cacio e pepe and the polenta so I got both. They're both very delicious and cheesy. The vegetable ragu was alright

THAT WAS FUN! Had my…read moreone and only taste of the Napa Farmers Market, and it is thee place to be on Saturday Morning. Tons of parking, tons of vendors, tons of yummy food! Since I'm passing thru Napa, I didn't buy any "produce", as I will be on flying, and that doesn't make sense. However, I was able to taste and try many of the food vendors present. First off, OHM Coffee. As it was 83 degrees, I didn't want anything hot --- I opted for the Iced Matcha Latte. It was delicious! Nothing that made it "stand out", but I know a good Iced Matcha when I taste one --- definitely started my rounds around the market right! For breakfast, I've been craving a good breakfast burrito and found the vendor, "Earth's Bounty". It was a bit of a healthier take on the chorizo and potatoes --- they swapped it out for bacon and roasted veg. which included zucchini and sweet potatoes --- but I was pleasantly surprised! I devoured the whole thing!! The tortilla was warmed perfectly, and the melted cheese that crisped up on the grill made it EXCELLENT! To top it off, I visited a stand selling "MAUI STYLE POTATO CHIPS", helmed by the most friendly woman, named Sara. She was so awesome, and let me sample whatever I wanted. Needless to say, I purchased 3 bags of chips for $27. If bought individually, it would be $10 per bag. Such a great market to visit whenever your in Napa! 10/10!
