A view of the pier being swallowed by an abnormally high tide.
Courtney K.

Bottom Line: Entertaining views and great service but the menu options were disappointing. My husband and I went to Marker Five on a Saturday in early October. Knowing that crabs are still in season and oysters are coming into their prime, I had visions of enjoying some fresh, local seafood. But unfortunately Marker 5 was out of crab cakes, oysters, fish of the day, wahoo, pork belly, the strawberry and grape salad, and one or two other things. With that, we effectively discarded the normal menu and turned our attention to the wood fired pizza oven menu. I got the buffalo chicken pizza and my husband had a classic pepperoni pizza. The pizza was good but certainly wasn't the fresh Chesapeake Bay seafood we were craving. The highlights of our experience were the views and the service. We enjoyed watching a fishing charter clean their catch and their boat. We also watched the draw bridge go up about five times. We even got to witness the abnormally high tide washing over the pier. Our waitress was very upbeat and attentive.

We loved the service and the view of the drawbridge and marina. All of our entrees were delicious. We will definitely be back when we come back to the Shore. Tilghman Island is a fun place to visit. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I went here on a recommendation of a server in St Michael's. When we were seated we were ask not to make an substitution or request to our order because they were short staffed in the back, which we TOTALLY understand both having worked customer service/restaurant jobs! But this doesn't excuse our experience. We ordered our food: the Mexican street corn, a white pizza and a my husband ordered a beer. I specifically stated to the waiter we were planning on sharing these items, first the corn was on the cob (...why he didn't eat something when I told him we were sharing it?! I don't know, who shares a cob of corn) also the single cob was $8! The pizza that came out was by far the worst pizza I have had in a long time. The cheese was not melted and the crust was somehow soggy and burn at the same time. We ate it because we were starving, but man I am disappointed. $40 meal I will not be having again.

A nice little gem on Tilghman Island. Very simple and friendly with delicious quick food. Lovely outdoor seating allowed us to watch the sunset and enjoy the breeze. Recommend the Watermelon Crush.

Fantastic soft shell crab.

Legal Assets is a fine restaurant serving up classic yet inventive Easter Shore dishes. Everything…read moreon the menu is familiar and elevated by the Chef and kitchen staff, which will satisfy a wide variety of palates. Why I encourage you to dine at Legal Assets is for the service. Particularly Shelby - our server for the evening. She is kind, funny, playful, knowledgeable, quirky, attentive, and conscientious. What this translates to is Shelby elevated our dining experience, and we are thankful to have crossed her path. I rarely compliment or review the front of the house. Mainly because most of them lack basic restaurant skills; food preparation knowledge; customer service; and are generally void of a personality. Restaurateurs - When your servers think a bouillabaisse is a cream soup, it's your fault - do better. So back to Shelby. Words of flattery cannot fully describe how outstanding our experience was as we were attended to through a multi-course meal. To this point, you will have to reserve a table at Legal Assets and experience for yourself. And if you are lucky, you may be sat within Shelby's section for a joyful time.

My best friend and I were on our yearly mom trip in the local area. We were looking for a place on…read morethe water and it had seafood. Pirates Cove met our needs and then some. When we arrived we found parking in the crowded lot. But, it was around 7pm so that worked out. Once we parked we walked inside. Its definitely decorated in a busy way, but totally made sense for the theme. We opted for outdoor seating and were seated immediately. Our server was amazing. She was always on the ball making sure our food came out, drinks were filled and we were basically taken care of. In fact every employee we encountered were great from hostess to server, to bar staff. I opted for the cream of crab soup and the Maryland crab soup doubled up together. I tell you, do it! It was so good! Best of both worlds hands down. Both of their soups were fantastic! We shared the green goddess avocado dip. It came with 6 chilled shrimp, naan dippers and the creamy dip. I highly recommend this appetizer especially on a hot day. The cheesy crab toast was a nice change from the typical crab dip. I opted for a crabcake, potato and seasoned vegetables. This was a great option for the day. My friend enjoyed salmon on top of a salad. We finished up with some sweets. They had a lovely lemon blueberry cake along with the fried dough with powder sugar. They were very light. . We loved all of our food. Seriously no complaints one bit. If your looking for a place to go and enjoy a good meal on the water and delicious food.. this is the spot.

My wife and I decided to take a drive and ended up in Galesville at Pirates Cove. We sat outside in…read morethe bar area, which is a really nice place to enjoy a meal right on the water. The hostess seated us at a high-top table, but unfortunately, the table was very shaky. As we were getting settled, we also noticed that the music coming from the speaker directly above us was pretty loud. When our server came over, my wife asked if she could turn it down a little, and she was happy to do so. We ordered our drinks--my wife had iced tea and I had an Orange Crush which was very good. I asked about the crab cake prices and was told it was around $45 for the dinner, about $28 for the sandwich, and around $22 for the crab ball appetizer. When our server came back, my wife ordered the shrimp special. I wanted a BLT with a crab cake added, so I asked how much it would be to add one. I was surprised when she told me it would be $40 to add the crab cake, on top of the $17 BLT. At that price, I decided to order the BLT and the crab balls instead. I put two of the crab balls on my sandwich and we ate the other two separately. Overall, the food was good. My wife really enjoyed her grilled shrimp and rice. My BLT had a nice amount of bacon, but it had way too much lettuce and only one small slice of tomato. Once I removed some of the lettuce and added two of the crab balls to the sandwich, it was actually much better. The crab balls were good, but I still have a hard time understanding $40 to add a crab cake to a $17 BLT. I could see paying around $12 for a nice-sized crab cake added to a sandwich, but $40 seems extremely high. The best part of the experience was definitely the location. Sitting outside on the dock, enjoying the water and having dinner was very nice. Afterward, my wife and I walked out on the dock and watched the sunset. That's the kind of setting that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile.
