I don't usually write reviews, but this business really earned one. I had reserved a time for my car wash, but they were unexpectedly understaffed that day and running well behind schedule. Unfortunately, I had to leave before they could finish my car, which was definitely frustrating. They apologized, asked me to come back the next day, and even took $10 off for the inconvenience. When I returned, they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The inside and outside of my car looked phenomenal--it was clear they had taken the time to do the job right. What impressed me most wasn't that things went perfectly the first day--they didn't. It was how they handled the situation. Instead of rushing through my car just to get me out the door, they chose quality over speed and asked me to come back so they could deliver the level of work they stand behind. That kind of integrity is rare. Yes, I was annoyed that I had to make a second trip, but in the end, I left with a beautifully detailed car and a lot of respect for a business that genuinely cares about doing exceptional work. I have been here 3 times or more now. I just do the basic interior and exterior for $70. My car gets FILTHY! I drive her to Lake Tahoe during snow season, LA down dusty I-5. There was a time my car was so filthy they had to up charge me cuz it needed multiple washes. I was happy to pay more, because it takes so much time for me to do it myself. Basic wash for them, about 1-1.25 hours. Whenever I need a DEEP CLEAN, I will be coming here. I wish I could say I would maintain the cleanliness in between. While I do my best, this car was meant to be DRIVEN. Everyone there has been super nice to me. I highly recommend their services. I had to edit my star rating from 5 to 4. The dressing they use on my all weather mats makes them so slippery. I am otherwise very happy with their services. read more

TL; DR: Markato went above and beyond to help me get my car in shape for sale. Five stars I wanted to sell my car but after many months of driving dogs around the interior was in rough shape. I took it to Markato and got the full detailing package Friday afternoon -- I needed to drop it off with Carvana Saturday at 10:30 am. After working hours on it Friday they reported they were still getting dirt out when the vacuumed it. While I was there to pick it up the owner called and asked if they could work on it in Saturday morning and after describing my deadline said he'd get two popel to work on it starting 7am and would have it ready to go. They were true to their word, and the car looked as good as when i bought it. Great effort on their part, with a great result!! read more

I regret bringing my brand new SUV here for a wash. When I arrived for a pre-scheduled wash at the beginning of the day, there was hardly anyone there. I only saw one other customer. They said it could take up to an hour for an external-only wash. No problem. An hour later, for whatever reason they're only just getting started. Fine - I could wait. The main source of my regret is that when I got into the sun and looked at my car (they return it to you under a tarp that would make it hard to see), I saw that there were swirl marks ALL over my brand new SUV. When I was picking it up, I noticed that there was still tons of water all over the car, that they hadn't been thorough with drying...but I could forgive that. The swirls I cannot forgive. These guys seemed like really nice kids, and the lot had filled up by the time I went back to check on progress after an hour...so they might have felt a little slammed. I'm sure they work hard, but the work done on my SUV was sloppy. I might as well have gone to a cheap automated car wash instead of paying $60 + 20% tip here for a simple external wash. I thought it was worth it if they did a great job, but they did not. Now I have to pay a good detailer a lot more money to fix the swirls they left behind on my car. I wanted to love this place and support it, but I will not be returning. read more

These guys are the BEST!! I have a van that I use for dog training and pack walks and most recently brought it to them for the 3rd time in the most horrific state of dirt and dog hair... I had a busy month and couldn't do my regular weekly light cleaning so it was REALLY DIRTY and covered in hair! I am just as happy and pleased with the results! Outstanding! I googled the highest rated Car Wash while I was in The Town running errands and came across Markato's which is a small, by hand car wash and can say I came away very happy. The entire service took about 45 minutes but I could not be more happy with how thorough the service was. Pre Wash De-Bug and rinse, Foam Cannon, rinse, hand dry, interior vacuum, washing of my all-weather mats, leather conditioner, tire dressing, windows (on a Tesla which is a lot of window) and air freshener for $60. The crew working on my car did not appear to rush at all. They didn't just slap tire dressing on my tires or vacuum around the positioning of the seats, they truly took their time to ensure a job well done. Highly recommended small business. I wish I could speak entirely positively of this place but I had a disappointing experience. I was told to wait an hour to get the car washed/detailed. The place wasn't as packed as it can be other times. I dropped off the car at 3:45pm and got back there at 4:55pm (70 minutes later). They hadn't even started washing the car. It seems that the workers are over-worked and the owner/manager(s) are overestimating the time the car would be ready for pick up. They suggested to wait extra 30 minutes (it wasn't even my turn) but I had to go. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you want the car to be detailed by them. They generally do a good job. And make sure to tip generously! read more

I have had my car cleaned at Markato twice. The first time, I was the only one there, and the detailing took over an hour, yet it was clear the gauges on my dash had not been cleaned (full of dust). The second time, it was a little busy. I was told it would take an hour, so I took a walk and ran some errands, arriving back in an hour to see they were still working on my car. After another 25 minutes, I asked how much longer. After 5 minutes (90 total), it was finally done, although the contents of my trunk (a yoga mat, a towel) had been misplaced and had to be located. When I finally got in to drive away, I noticed my ceramic coffee cup was also gone. After several minutes of looking, I found it on top of a random trash can. The guys working there are really nice, but it seems disorganized and slow. For $45 I was expecting a faster turnaround and not to have to locate my belongings. read more

I got the full service detail which was very reasonably priced. They did an excellent job on my very dirty (inside and out) car. The work was supposed to take 2 hours and I got a call after an hour and a half saying that they would like some extra time to be able to remove all of the dog hair from all of the places it was stuck. This might have been inconvenient if I had been on a tight schedule, but I wasn't and I really appreciate Markato for taking the extra time to do the job well. They communicated clearly about the work and the price and I was not disappointed. I will definitely use this business again when my car gets to the point that I can't handle it myself. read more

This is a great shop to take your car to make it look better than new. My car doesn't sit in a garage so had tree sap stuck to it all over the hood. And it had tar from I don't know where splashed along one whole side. I hadn't had time to take care of cleaning this stuff off for weeks. I found Markato on yelp and they delivered more than I had expected. They removed all the sap and tar without a trace. But beyond that they made all the finishes shine more than I had ever seen it.
