Not only did the Charlotte's Web family deliver a sparkling clean car in exactly an hour, but they managed to buff out some scratches that I thought we're gonna be there forever and hook me up with a 50% discount by using the way.com app... Had a question about pricing with the young man who greeted me. He got Joe who let me know that if I download the Way app, I get a 50% discount on my first wash with a discount code. Fantastic! This is a family run, all-hand-wash place. Nothing fancy but they were very friendly and I was very happy with the wash. And now that I'm set up on the app, it's easy to pay. When I'm out in Oakland, I have found my place to stop by to get a car wash! VERY reasonable prices and you're in and out in a short time! Since it was my 1st time checking this place out, I decided to test this place by just getting an outside car wash to see if the people who work here are detailed. I have a black car so detail is a MUST for my ride. If you have a black car, then you KNOW what I'm talking about... any water spot or dust can be easily seen and there's no point in getting it detailed or washed if it's not going to be done correctly. The young men who washed my car paid attention to their work and before my car was released to me, the owner did a visual inspection, caught a missed spot, and had it fixed. My car was back to car show condition! I am always a fan of businesses that hire the younger generation to give them a head start in the work force! So keep up the good work guys! read more

Been coming to Joe for years I believe since 2014! I've NEVER had a bad experience! They have multiple people working on your car so you are in and out. By the time I walk and get some food eat it's about ready. The pricing is fair and the job always is spectacular! Leaves my cars looking good, smelling good and I've been given multiple roses. Super shady business practices. STAY AWAY!! They did a pretty good job on my wash, if sort of a long wait, but after being charged for fake sales tax, I won't return. I won't do business with unethical people. A regular wash is $40. When it came time to pay, he told me it was $57.13 with tax, which didn't seem right, but ok. Nope, I was cheated. I looked it up and California sales tax is charged on goods, not services -- thank God for the internet! -Even if - sales tax was to be charged, and it's not, and even if I took the highest tax rate possible, 10.25% combined for state, county, and city tax rate the amount I should have been charged is $44.10, so yeah fraudulent billing. I won't be back. read more

Surprise surprise! Yet another local Black owned business that I love! Charlotte's Web does full detailing, inside and out for a super reasonable price and they even have a Discount for Ladies on Wednesday's. I've been getting my car washed here for years because the guys over there do consistently good work in such efficient time, plus they have a stamp card! Every 10 stamps gets you a free car wash and after you notice the care that they take with your ride you'd be more than appreciative of this freebie. They even do waxing and other services that get your car looking pristine, these take a little longer but it's cool since there are a few food spots within walking distance - if you ask the guys, they will recommend some great places. read more

Terrible service. If you're gonna bring your car here make sure you stay on site or they're gonna push your car til the end of the day. Had chosen premium services and was expecting my car to come out clean but since they left it for the end of the day they ended up halfassin it and didn't give it a proper cleaning. But dude still wanted his $250. Kept telling me it'd be done in an hour and every time I'd go check he was always working on someone else car. Very unprofessional. read more

What else can I say except BRAVOOO! This hand detail and car wash is conveniently located in the corner of Fruitvale and Nicol. They have an organized and professional crew who are ready to thoroughly clean your car with efficiency and a smile. I will definitely be returning each time I need a car wash because of the customer service and spectacular job they did on my car. They were quick while still doing a very thorough job. They cleaned inside and out and let me just say this. The car is cleaner today than the day it was delivered to me direct from the dealership. This place is legit!!! One of the most affordable places in the bay area to get your car detailed (they do interiors and exteriors). Go to Dimond Park, Hive Cafe, Dimond Library, etc. while you wait, all of which are within a few blocks. The crew is super friendly also. Give them your money, and drive off with a happy, shiny car. The staff was super friendly and very meticulous. Definitely tip them well because they work very hard and they take good care of their customers. I pass this place all the time so 1 Monday I finally decided to give them a try (1st & last time) Really friendly guys! But all i wanted was a simple wash & vacuum nothing extra.. i was told to vacuum the trunk it would be an extra $5. The $15 monday deal advertised + an extra $5 for the trunk equals $20. An hr from the start time my (very small compact) car still hadn't been finished, so I inquired about an anticipated time frame, i was told it was "almost done". 15 mins later i get my keys back and leave because i was now late for something else. Its my fault for not checking my trunk before i left but of course no one vacuumed it, no one gave me $5 in change either. Don't advertise deals if you don't honor them! Also the outside of the car appeared dirty even though they claimed to have washed it lol read more

I've been meaning to try this car wash for the longest time because I would drive pass them everyday. They appear to be a locally owned and operated car wash. $25 for an inside/outside wash (For cars. Prices will vary depending on the size of your vehicle. See my photo on pricing). They wash your car by hand. There were 3 guys running the car wash (1 guy washed my car from start to finish). They take their time washing your car. This isn't a place to go to if you don't have much time to wait for your car wash. Their service is decent. Car came out nice and clean. Workers need to pay more attention to detail (trim, steering wheel, speedometer area, etc). It was 95 degrees today so I'm thankful and did tip extra...I could see excessive heat playing a role in the job done today. Unfortunately, I had to leave before they could finish my car, which was definitely frustrating. They apologized, asked me to come back the next day, and even took $10 off for the inconvenience. Even when we don't have big jobs pending, we drop by their shop a few times a year for installation inspections and touch-ups (no charge during PPF or ceramic coating warranty period). Ok. So I did a boo boo and thought I could squeeze between a car and parking lot poll and ended up…read morescratching my newer CRV. Yes, the sensors screamed at me... but only for my front right bumper... not my back driver side passenger door. So, I tried and failed to park without scratching my car. I was super devastated and frantically searched for someone nearby in Alameda to repair my car. I found Steamworks and reached out. Immediately, David said... I can come by to take a look at your car and give you a quote. 30 minutes later (if that) David was in my parking lot, assessing the damage and wiping off random bird poop stains off my car while telling me the detail and repair plan. I was in. He even offered to come pick up my car and drop it off for the service. I don't know how grateful I was for the straight forward feedback on repair and the before and after says it all. The quality of detail I received for the price was the best I've had in forever. I've paid $300 for detailing service and received crap back. David and team went above and beyond and I am taking my car to get cleaned and detailed with Steamworks all day any day. Thanks so much David! I'll let the pictures do the talking.

How do I give more stars…read more I came to David at Steamworks after getting quotes from other shops that wanted to charge an arm and a leg for scratch repair and or new parts or just flat out rejected doing the work at all. What a difference. Before I even booked, David gave me a thorough, honest upfront assessment -- no overpromising, just a clear-eyed look at what was possible and what the process would involve and how much it would genuinely be and what else my car might need. I dropped my car off within a single day, he removed rust, corrected deep scratches across the rear quarter panels, polished and restored the paint, and even cleared up the headlights. The car looks almost brand new. The before and after difference is incredible. The price was insanely fair compared to what dealerships and other shops quoted me. If you're dealing with scratches, scuffs, or paint damage and don't want to get gouged, come here first. David does the work right, treats you like a person, and delivers results that speak for themselves. But enough words. I'll let the photos do the rest.

I was so surprised to see both grandmas and grandpas at their age working so hard. Some were younger but I'm sure that's also why they look so healthy. It's my first time here but they feel precious to me like my own grandparents. I passed by this busy car wash during the day and stopped by again later because my car was super due for a wash. I'll be honest I hadn't vacuumed my car in a looong time. When I did, the little handheld vacuum at home didn't do much. But these folks got me in and out so fast. Sweet and efficient people. The before and after is crazy. I will say there were some little cracks where they missed the dust and they accidentally left a towel wedged in my back trunk door lol but it was what my car needed. I'll admit we hadn't cleaned it for a while, have taken the car on road trips including to Los Angeles, Tahoe and Mammoth Lakes. We've taken it in offroad situations too. After they worked, our car is White again. They worked hard at vacuuming and cleaning the inside of the car, including the trunk. Their crew took out and cleaned floor mats and they seemed to wipe down everything as best they could. We also have dogs so there probably was a little bit of dog hair in the back too. The woman who runs the business said they needed to charge extra to shampoo one of the carpets because there was some sort of stain in the back. I thought that was reasonable. Considering that it has been years since we seriously cleaned the car, I think they did a good job and put a lot of attention, I think the price I paid was reasonable.

They don't just run your car through a machine they actually vacuum it out and wash it by hand! Even drying it by hand. Most places I find just kind of rush through the entire process and your cars still wet or you find stuff on the floor when you get inside. Twenty five doll hairs for a car wash (I don't care about the cleanliness of the exterior) when my priority was the inside of my vehicle is irritating to say the least, but being turned away mid service and told to come back tomorrow because your establishment is booming is poor customer service. Lame-oh experience.
