First, this guy tries to paint the dark bedroom walls with a light beige paint without using a…read moreprimer first and now it's a different shade than the matching ceiling and refuses to fix it. It's so obvious that the walls do not match the color of the ceiling. Just look at the picture. He even got paint on the crown molding. He also was supposed to repair and then repaint the baseboards that were removed and reinstalled by the flooring company because they had all of the nails popped out of them and needed the nail holes to be filled and touched up, but he decided to just put a sloppy coat of paint on them and missed spots all over. Lots of pictures of the baseboards. Worst of all is when I found that he severely damaged my brand new flooring by sliding the my furniture without putting something under the legs. He then tried to cover it up, by putting paint on all of the scratches and gouges and when I asked him about it he denied any knowledge. I offered to have him repaint the bedroom prior to the new floors going down, but he insisted it needed to be done after. Lots of pictures of the damage. So to sum up DT Painting, he doesn't know that you need to prime walls that are a darker color then the new color going on or that when you need to move heavy furniture on any type of flooring, you need to protect that flooring by putting something under the legs. Most importantly as with any honest trade, is when you do damage someone's property, you admit it, by telling the homeowner and apologizing for the mistake and look for a satisfactory solution with them. So I highly recommend for anyone reading this to find a more qualified painter.

The owner, Paul, is very helpful and quick to respond texts/emails/calls. He came to the house frequently to monitor progress and answer any question I had. Most important, any concern or area of the house I wasn't pleased with, he addressed without debate! I didn't have to argue about which areas were included in the contract, or explain WHY I wasn't completely satisfied with something. The best endorsement of this company I can give, is that I hired them to paint the entire interior of our home.

Although there are multiple glowing reviews of this company, I am for the very first time in a long…read moretime posting a review because I am so outraged. Had Value come in to give us a quote for painting once we completed our remodel as well as an additional piece of work - removing mirror off of a wall in the living room. We were given a quote of $800 which seemed high but were told it could take up to 2 days to complete the job. Since we knew they would have to bring in equipment to complete the job safely and not knowing what the removal would entail, we accepted the quote. This morning 2 workers arrived with a single ladder and completed the work in just over 3 hours, however, since they had to dispose of the glass we'll add an additional hour for taking it to wherever they take their debris. We called Value to discuss some sort of reduction on the quote and were met with a zillion reasons why they should get $800 dollars for 4 hours for two men and a ladder. They were not concerned at all with the fact that we were very upset knowing we had been extremely overcharged for the job. One could understand that the estimator thought that it would take longer so when presented with the fact that it was much easier than expected they would immediately adjust the bill accordingly--but no. This review is strictly against the Management/Customer Service of the company. The workers that came today were polite, friendly and worked cleanly, however, we could never recommend or engage a company that thinks so little of its customers.

STAY AWAY FROM RCI. They came to our community and agreed on a price for the community. Then, after…read moredone, charged 94% of us an extra second coat fee which was only supposed to happen "if a significant color change requires additional coverage." They charged this fee even when the extra charge fee showed a second coat for going from trim and door color of white to the exact same color of white. And for the house body color, many of us intentionally stayed with a similar a color to what we had. This was clearly a scam and their bid price was never intended to be an actual price. They went in knowing they'd increase their profits after the community paint jobs were done by charging nearly all of us an extra fee.
