The girl that I take care of used to go to another facility for her math classes but she never liked it, she actually doesn't mind going to Mathnasium. "It's my favorite class!" she's said that many times. Too bad they only let kids enroll who are 5 years or older. They're not able to call so it might be hard to understand when they need to be picked up but classes always last for 60 minutes so that makes up for it. Little Scholars left our elementary school high and dry after agreeing to provide two different…read moreafter school programs. We got an email the Friday before the classes were to start to tell us that they couldn't find a teacher so they needed to push the classes back. The email went on to say that perhaps we could help them locate a teacher. The end of the email stated that our contact person would be out of the office the rest of the (Friday) afternoon. I spoke with the owner, Rodney Jefferson, who was exceedingly rude and condescending. I was told that the situation was "disappointing and an inconvenience to you" by Mr. Jefferson. I attempted to explain that many of our parents were counting on those after school classes as childcare coverage, Mr. Jefferson suggested that I "just hire a babysitter." He spoke over me repeatedly, and refused to apologize for the last moment communication. Mr. Jefferson said "last minute would have been an hour before the class was supposed to start." I am simply appalled by his behavior. He also made personal attacks against me when I voiced my displeasure with the situation. I would certainly NOT recommend this business to any other school programs. They are neither dependable nor professional.
