How does one find a good chiropractor? Usually a referral from someone you trust. My wife was referred by a coworker, she referred me and now I've started to refer others. A good chiropractor is hard to find. It's clear to me that Mark really knows what he's doing. He helped me work through a long term issue I was dealing with and my back feels great. I have a background as a cmt so I'm aware of my body mechanics, my posture and how everything is interrelated. During our first appointment he was able to diagnose my lower back issues and start treatment. I was in a ton of pain and my muscles were really tight, he was very cautious about how he proceeded. It took about 3 appointments before I was back to better than I had been in years. I'm really glad I was able to get the original recommendation. I would absolutely refer my friends and family to him. read more

I wasn't a fan of chiropractic science when I first went to see Dr. Reis. He changed my opinion pretty quickly by helping me to feel better. He has treated our entire family for years now. I trust him to adjust my back, neck, and body - and am convinced that he had allowed me to move better and for longer than I would have otherwise been able on my own. I appreciate him as a person (kind, competent, smart) as well as his skills as a doctor as he has always been able to locate and address my chief complaint each and every time I've visited his office. read more

Dr. Reis is great -- not only is he skilled and knowledgeable, he's very friendly and personable. I trust him with adjustments completely. He's helped me with whiplash and various other issues and has a special interest in sports medicine. Chiropractors are not for everyone, but I recommend Dr. Reis to anyone I know with an alignment issue or back or neck pain. In addition, he takes many kinds of insurance and the reception staff is extremely kind. Not to be coarse, but chiropractors have to get quite close to you as they bend you into crazy positions, and Dr. Reis is not someone that is a downer to have in your personal space (e.g. doesn't have bad breath, etc.). This is more important than you might think. I do wish he had a massage therapist on site, but his is a private practice. Maybe some day... read more

I've been seeing chiropractors since 1991. Some were good and some made you wonder how they stayed in practice. Dr. Reis is by far the best Chiropractor I've seen. He adjusts me with ease. He's a perfectionist. He relieves every last ache. It's pretty weird to compare chiropractic care to art, but it is really something to see this man work. I've referred both family members and friends to him and I've heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone I've sent his way. You would be a fool to see anyone else. read more

In my humble opinion, Dr. Reis is the best chiropractor in San Carlos. I have been to two other chiropractors who are both wonderful and very highly regarded, but they did not spend the time really figuring out what is going on. Very much like a business transaction... five minutes and you're out the door! Dr Reis actually gives a very thorough examination and performs a wonderful, intuitive massage during his adjustments which typically last 15 minutes or more. On top of that he is a sweet natured, very congenial and spiritual being that you will immediately like. You will know in your heart that he is a born healer at his first touch, and that you're in competent hands. Thanks again Mark! read more

Mark is a great chiropractor and all around nice person. I have been seeing him for 5 1/2 years now. He is professional and has helped me to maintain an active lifestyle despite a neck injury I suffered 10 years ago. He is not the "get them in as much as possible so I can bill the insurance" kind of chiropractor. In fact he is just the opposite. His goal is to get you to a place where he has to see you as little as possible in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. read more

I haven't been to the chiropractor in years but I recently broke my ankle and as a result, got a pinched nerve from all the hobbling around - yay! (boo) I was referred to Mark by 2 friends and I am very glad I went. He has been very helpful in my recovery and he is not one of those chiropractors that wants to see you twice a week forever to "keep you adjusted". He takes the time to explain what is going on and what he wants to do to fix it. He is also very nice :) read more

I am walking and not addicted to pain killers and or have a a long list of Chiro treatments because of Dr. Reis. He has been my GO TO guy for over 15years. Staff is beyond civil and nice and his office overall shows his love for his profession. His Philosophy "get you better, make you smile and on with your life" He is not about how many visits he can add on. YES! we do have people like that in this world today and that too Dr's THANK YOU Dr. Reis and staff! read more

A few years ago I was experiencing a lot of back pain due to carrying my toddler. I was referred to Mark Reis by Liam, the massage therapist that works in his office. I was always leary of chiropractors, but one appoinitment with Mark made me a believer. Up until recently I hadn't been to see Mark for several years, but recently returned after a car accident. My back and neck have been more than happy to be adjusted again and I'm happy that not much has changed. His office staff is friendly and helpful, the office is clean and beautiful (I must say--their bathroom is one of the nicest I've ever been in), and I'm so happy that I went back. If you're leary about going to a chiropractor, then Mark is the DC for you! read more

I've seen dozens of chiropractors, all around the world since injuring my back in the early nineties and then again in 2000 after a car accident. In those years I have had to trust my back with many different chiropractors, some very good but many very bad. It seems there is a commonality among the really good Chiropractors, they almost have an instinct or a natural talent for understanding the problems of their patients. I had to waste alot of time and money after moving to the Bay Area to find another talented Chiropractor and Dr Reis definetly has the touch. read more

Mark is an incredible chiropractor. He does not rush through his appointments, he takes the time to get to know you as well as what is ailing you. As a guy with an army back, I have seen more than my share of chiros, but after meeting Mark and his courteous staff, I would dread going anywhere else. read more

I have been going to Dr. Reis since 2011. I'm sad to received the news he decided to closed the office. It's very hard to find a "real" chiropractor!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Reis is great. Not much to add to Zaz and Edward's reviews that hasn't already been said. Good skills combined with great bedside manner. read more

Dr. Reis is amazing. He knows how to dig right into the trouble spot and get rid of it. I have been suffering from a sore neck for months, and he was able to fix it on the first visit. My husband sees him as well, and he always does a great job. He's gentle yet extremely effective. He's really easy going, and taught me some great stretches to relieve upper back tension. I highly recommend him! read more

dr. Reis is phenomenal. He really cares about the patient. I have been going to him for some time and just really appreciate his talent and care he gives to each patient!! I highly recommend him. One thing I really appreciate is he does not hesitate in adjusting he is very confident and that makes the difference in getting a good adjustment. read more

I had seen another chiropractor who actually made my pain worse. I was experiencing lower back pain on my left side by my hip, and could barely walk a few days prior to seeing Mark. Dr. Reis took a lot of time to diagnose my condition, and the treatments were gentle but effective. In fact, the next day I had an amazing improvement. In a few more days, the pain was reduced significantly. I had another treatment a week later; after this, I was pain free. He is an amazing healer and practitioner. read more

I've been to many chiropractors and Dr. Reis really stands out. He is thorough and knowledgeable. Dr. Reis is able to find the trouble spots before I have to tell him. He will recommend exercises to help strengthen your muscles. He's a rare gem. read more

Dr. Reis is professional, kind and caring. He does not "go thru the motions" ever-- rather he is informed, keeps you informed and does an assessment every time you see him. He listens and adapts his techniques and tools to the situation at the moment. I do not ever feel he makes me co-dependent, however he provides realistic goals and such relief. He is skilled, experienced and knowledgeable. He knows how to adapt care to how you are feeling, and never over treats. What amazes me, he always can tell exactly where the problematic area on your body is, without being told. This means he is in-tune with what he is doing and truly knows how to provide the specific, useful, and practical standard of care...but he goes way way beyond that. I have referred a handful of people to him, and each one has called me to say, I haven't felt better in years! You want to do it right, I wouldn't hesitate to go to Dr. Reis. He is a good man and a good doctor! read more

Mark is far more than a great chiropractor, he's a phenomenal human being. I've known Mark for over 11 years and I can say without hesitation or reservation that Mark is the BEST around. You will not find a more professional, talented, or kind man. If you are looking for the best, look no further. Mark is it! read more

I've been going to see Mark for at least 10 years now, and I am only not even that old yet. LOL.

I've been seeing Dr. Reis for years, in my humble opinion there is no one better in the area. He is the best! I would highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Reis is great! I went in with terrible back pain to the point where it was becoming painful to walk. I have been in three times now and the pain is gone. When I first went in, he saw that other parts of my back needed alignment and he went ahead and took care of them without requiring another visit to take care of the additional problems he saw. He gave me a handout and recommended I do several different stretches to help my back and even showed me how to do modifications to get the best stretch. I would definitely recommend Dr. Reis to anyone! read more

Mark is incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, careful and phenomenal problem solver. He is a perfect caregiver. Since I have complicated issues with my back, Mark is very careful to survey my situation, talk me through the procedures and carry them out with a firm gentleness that solves the problem. Mark also provides exercises and stretches that I can use at home to further remedy my situation. I always walk out of his office feeling better for both the treatment and genuinely positive human interaction. read more

I did not believe in chiropractic quite a few years ago when i threw my neck out. My hisband convinced me to give it a try and by sheer luck I found Mark at the group practice he was part of at the time. One visit and I could turn my head again! Now Mark has his own practice, next to Trader Joe's. He and his staff are very accomodating, squeezing me in when I have a problem. He is pleasant, soft-spoken, as gentle as possible and he does not try to push you into purchasing a series of appointments (unlike many other chiropracters). If one visit fixes you up, that's great. If not, he will keep trying until you are fixed. Billing is efficient and he takes a wide variety of insurance plans. read more

I have been going to Dr. Reis for about 8 or 9 years. I have chronic lower back pain from years of physically demanding jobs. After dealing with some initial issues, I now choose to see Dr. Reis monthly for a preventive care "tune-up" and rarely need to make any additional appointments. He is thorough, gentle and effective. I have use chiropractic care for my back problems for about 30 years. Dr. Reis utilizes the most effective practices I've experienced. read more

I Love Dr Reis! He a great chiropracter, I have seen him with work related injuries, snowboarding accidents, two pregnancies, carrying a 10 lb baby around, and he has been able to treat everyhting and help return me to comfort and movement. He is personable and funny and has a great touch. I have even been able to get adjustments with my daughter in the room playing on the Yoga ball! He does have a staff of great people, another chiropracter and a massage therapist! read more

I have been meaning to write a review about Dr. Reis for awhile but just haven't had a chance. I saw Dr. Reis in September after seeing another Chiropractor for the same problem. The other chiropractor estimated that I would need 40 visits to help me be pain free, I thought that sounded a bit excessive so I came back to Yelp and found Dr. Reis. Dr. Reis was able to have me pain free in 5 visits and taught me stretches that I can do as well. I felt every visit with him was thorough and found him to be very knowledgeable. To top it off, Dr. Reis's office staff is extremely professional and their office is clean and beautiful. read more

Dr. Reis has been my dedicated chiropractor for years, even before he setup his clinic on White Oak Way. I used to have back pain years ago and after visiting Dr. Reis, it never came back. I still visit him once every couple of months to get an adjustment. I wish I can give him more than 5 stars. He deserves it. read more
