My son was born in 2009 and got his first haircut at Mark's and has been going back every since. He's now 15!! I'm not looking forward to the day when Mark decides to retire and close his door!! read more

Mark gives a consistent, good quality haircut at a reasonable price. He uses electric clippers exclusively for my cut and is very fast. I appreciate that he is so experienced that he knows exactly how to provide a cut that maintains a good shape as my hair grows. No funny tufts of hair that pop out in a week like other barbers I have frequented. The shop is connected to his house in a residential neighborhood; a small one-man operation that is cute and impeccably clean. read more

Wonderful barber I live in McCall and tried several times to find someone locally. Couldn't do it . Nowadays I get it cut anytime I'm in Boise. I can get pretty scuffy read more

I've been a customer of Mark's for the better part of seven years; having found his shop not long after I moved to a nearby neighborhood. Mark has been an outstanding barber, which is why I haven't gotten a single haircut anywhere else in that time, and I don't plan to change that. He runs a great shop, which is as welcoming as Mark himself - and his prices are just as easy on the wallet. If you want a quality haircut from a friendly barber in a traditional neighborhood shop, I highly recommend you stop by Mark's place. You won't regret it - and will likely stop going anywhere else! read more

We Love Mark N! He always does a great job on my husband and my son and can typically get them on the same day we call.

Excellent cut! Great guy! Definitely worth your business. His prices are very reasonable, and he seems to be available on short notice every time I call. So glad I found him and I hope he never retires! read more

Mark is super personable and does a solid job. Will definitely continue giving him business. Remember cash only

From Boston on work travel for the past couple months, and the hair was getting a bit too long. I've been with the same barber the past 30+ years who is incredible, but figured I'd take a chance on someone out here. Read the reviews of Mark, but still not convinced yet went ahead with it. Man am I glad I did. Perfect hair cut thanks to Mark! And, he's super personable; a pleasure to talk with. Many thanks. read more

Just moved to boise so I decided it was time for a hair cut. I didn't need a new hair cut just someone to clean it up. and finding a new barber is like finding a new relationship. you just never know! I didn't want to go somewhere where it would cost me tons of money so i found this place. Mark owns his own business and it is located on the corner of his home. He is the only barber so it's probably best to make an appointment even though he does take walk ins. This place is cash only so keep that in mind. I have taken a picture of the most updated rates since there seems to be confusion around prices and what his yelp profile says. He said this was out dated and doesn't know his login to change it. So to help everyone out there you go. Overall for the price I paid, definitely worth. It was clean, fast, and nothing too fancy. This guy is worth for a simple stylish cut. He is super friendly and will do as much as possible to get what you want. read more

Great barber. Clean shop. Excellent price. What more do you want?! If you've got young boys, he's got an outstanding Minion collection on display that they'll love. Or if you're an old man like me that grew up on friendly neighborhood barber shops, there's lots of barber shop nostalgia on the walls to remind you of the good old days. I wish my hair grew faster so Mark could cut it more often! read more

Great haircut with reasonable price. Mark goes out of his way to ensure you are happy with his service. He ensures the shop is always clean. Both I and my wife use him for his service. A small business man that gives great service and cares about his customers. read more

I took my son here about a month ago. I called and was able to get in right away. On the phone I had mentioned it was our first time there. One of the main reasons I chose to come here was the $8 haircut for first timers. After the haircut was done, he told me that I owed $12. Not only was I getting charged more than the first time rate but also $2 more than the rate he advertises for all of his clients. I was a little confused and I guess it was my fault for not mentioning anything but I think if you're going to advertise those prices, you should honor them. Overall, he was great with my kids. I had to take my two year old triplets because I couldn't find a sitter that quickly. He gave them all suckers and put on a movie. He was fast and did a good job with the haircut. read more

Great small barber shop! Was able to stop in on my lunch break from work and was in and out in a flash. Good haircut, good price, good barber. It's usually a safe assumption for small independent business like this, but remember that it's cash only. read more

Mark is a hidden gem! It took me forever to find a barber I could rely upon for consistent great results. Mark's shop is now my go to spot. Don't be put off because he's in a residential area. I'm very picky about selecting a barber. I like good old fashion barbers that take pride in what they do. Most of these corporate chain places don't seem to care. It took me awhile but I found Mark's Barbershop and decided to try him. He was great. Very professional and took his time. He made sure I was satisfied before leaving. I highly recommend him. I support small business also. Great job!!!! read more

This was my first time visiting Mark's barber shop, and I was very happy with the haircut Mark gave me. He asked me how I wanted it cut, then proceeded to cut my hair exactly the way I had hoped he would. Mark is friendly and we had a nice conversation as he cut my hair. I definitely will be going back and I recommend him for a good (and affordable) haircut. read more

Great cut at a great price. I'm picky about who cuts my hair and I'll be going back on the regular!

A true neighborhood barber--Mark gives an excellent haircut at a competitive price and he lives right here in the neighborhood.
