I left this place fuming and so frustrated with the passive aggressive dialogue between Mr. Barber and myself. It was our first time there and I understand, I wasn't using clear enough barber lingo (even though I had pictures of a previous cut), but seeing as I am dealing with a professional, I expected him to use his expertise to give my son a good clean cut. Instead, I had to constantly give direction and try to figure out different ways to essentially say the same thing. I really should have just said what I was thinking, and that was "fix your damn work because it looks choppy, uneven, and overall crappy." At some point he tried to say, "in my personal opinion, this is what I think we should do." Well no kidding! That's what I've been trying to tell you Mr. Barber. Now please just do it and clean it up. I guess in the end Mr. Barber won because I had to touch up multiple parts of the cut at home to make it look clean and even. *Edit I'm adjusting this review from 2 stars to 1 star because even my husband who is bald and doesn't care too much about quality of cut said the haircut was choppy and uneven. read more

Small, quaint, and overall good barber shop. Definitely send you back in time, and feels like you are in one of the barber shops in the movies where all the customers know all of the barbers (I think I was the only newcomer here). The barbers were all very nice and chatty. If you are looking for a traditional and simple cut, this would be a good place for you. If you are looking for something a little more unique, maybe not. They are pretty straight forward. very traditional. banter and chatting with the barber was great. Hard to get in at a reasonable time for the barber you want however. Definitely a bit of a bummer that they only accept cash or check. Overall its good. Its simple, its kind, nothing flashy or extraordinary, but a good barber shop. I was visiting from out-of-state and I needed a haircut. We drove by and walked and asked for a haircut. I was greeted by a gentleman (John Mirphy) who was old school. I am use to receiving old school haircuts without clean shave. Well, John was extremely professional and the service was excellent. The haircut was very satisfying and the entire process was extremely gratifying. The ambience, the folks that worked there and the service provided was extremely professional. A very reliable, friendly, and professional place to get your "wig split" AKA haircut. I showed some photos to Trevor (I believe) and he made an approximation on my head. At first I was skeptical at the result, but when I got home, a bit of product proved that he was correct and I was wrong. He may have even solved a decades long hair crisis for me that has revolved around my minefield of cowlicks. On the con side, you may well be subject to a customer ranting about his love for his many, many automatic weapons and loathing of "that a-hole Obama," but this is Eagle, Idaho, so what do you expect? The staff diplomatically did not engage in any political haranguing. Just the customer. If I was staying in the area, I would make this my regular place. I can't give them five stars because that's only reserved for my go-to place in Portland, Oregon, Throne. Haircut was a reasonable $15. Still, a solid 4 stars to 4.5. read more
