Been going here for years, laid back friendly atmosphere, giving a 5 star to counter the ungrateful and bitter people who have no sense of what reality is. If you come to a barber shop at a peak time yes you will have to wait. This ain't sports clips they don't just do a quick buzz for everyone. They remember their customers and are always willing to offer advice. Highly recommend these guys! If you got a bad haircut it's probably because you have bad direction on what you wanted. read more

Poor customer service. If you don't have a minimum of an hour to sit and wait to get a haircut, don't go here.

Joe did an amazing job on my son's hair! A kids cut was $22 and he was accommodating. Definitely will be taking my son back!

Been going to this shop with my son for 11 years. They do good work...that's why we always return. read more

I have been going to Jacks (now Iron Barber) for the past 7 years. We see both Adam and Joe, and both of the guys do an amazing job with a crazy amount of attention to detail. Adam is the only one that my Son Blake will allow to cut his hair. This is because of the great experience Adam has created for him. These guys genuinely care about quality and not quantity when it comes to great noticeable hair cuts. Guy them a try and you'll find you won't have to go anywhere else for your barber needs! read more

Iron Barber - Barbers Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Great Hair cut at a great price. This is just a good old school barber shop with cool guys. Everyone was friendly, got the job done quick and I left happy. I think it was $16 and took about 20 minutes. A good barber is hard to find. I'll be back! read more

Pretty disappointed with my cut. For the price, I'd expect a decent haircut. I left a good tip just because everyone is going through tough times right now but I won't be back read more

Great experience as a walk-in, haircut by Adam was quick but thorough with good attention to detail, excellent value, def recommend.

Go here if you're looking for a great cut and chill atmosphere! After moving back to Idaho I had a hard time getting/keeping a good barber. I was going to Great Clips and the barbers I'd use ended up leaving and the last time I went to them my hair got jacked up. Wife found this place and went in. The Shop had a really chill vibe. 4 barbers in there all working on somebody and all having conversations with their clients. I ended up with Adam who I plan on sticking with. He knew exactly what to do with my hair and gave honest advice. I could tell he was skilled at his job and it was very easy to keep a conversation going. read more

I have all boys and having a good dentist who handles emergencies and a good barber is essential. We have been coming to iron barber for close to six years. When we moved here we had to search but as soon as we discovered this shop we knew we were in the right place. It doesn't matter what my boys throw their way in terms of haircut requests and conversations they handle it with ease and confidence. They've seen my oldest throughout his childhood and into his teens- from silly hair requests to shaving his mustache for the first time. They have worked with my three year old and helped him learn to get his hair cut. My dad in his eighties comes to get his hair and beard trimmed. If you are looking for a barber shop that isn't niche and is for everyone this is your spot. I personally feel that if a barber shop can keep your three year old, your tweens, teens and eighty year old dad all happy and looking sharp they are doing a ton of things right. read more

Great spot for a high quality cut!!! They take there time and do a fantastic job so if there is a line and you're in a hurry, just go back at a different time, but go back you'll be glad you did! read more

I just received one of the worst haircuts of my life. Let me preface this by saying that I usually go to one of the chain places. I am not picky. However, I am getting married in a month and my fiancé has been trying to get me to find a decent barber for the past several haircuts. Based on overall positive reviews, I decided to try Jack's. The biker with long ponytail at Jack's should have been enough of a warning sign for me, but I pressed forward. I asked for a #3 on sides and back then blend into top with scissors. Easy, right? As he finished and I turned around, I had to stifle a laugh. I looked like he had taken the clippers way too high then basically left a long tuft on top. The transition from clipper to approx. 2-inch length was immediate (think long-haired drill sergeant). I asked him to try to blend it in. I don't know exactly what he did, but it now looks like a messy mohawk on the top and front and clipped close on sides and back above the natural line of my head. I feel like sending him the $3000 bill for our wedding photographer. However, I'd be satisfied if HE paid ME for this royal mess. The good thing is that hair grows back, so now I will have a chance to get it cut again before my WEDDING in four weeks. read more

Joe was great! Got a Low Skin Fade Done Right! Price (at $16) was very reasonable too! Will be coming back for another cut and to bring my sons. read more

Great place to go, friendly staff with lots of experience and locally owned. One of the only places to go for a straight razor shave. Jacks the owner and either Jonny or the Kid can help you out. read more

Stopped in on short notice to get a cut. 3 barbers working and all seemed to be efficient so the wait time was very short. Got a great haircut at an affordable price. The shop is clean and spacious. Definitely a shop worth checking out! read more

I have always got exactly what I asked for. Adam and Joe are awesome. I just got my hair done by the new guy Stenton (might have butchered the spelling) and he did an awesome job. I love the old school feel of this place. They still do the straight razor neck shave which is my favorite. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid haircut! read more

Since my last review Jerry left I got my hair cut from one of the other barbers and decided to look somewhere else for a cut

Great barber shop! After agonizing to find my husband a good barber he finally found one in Joe! Very happy with the results and the shop is nice! read more

I was in Boise to visit family for a week, and I was looking for a barber to get a haircut. I went on yelp and found this place and decided to try it out. Jack cut my hair and it was great. We had a good conversation talking about his interests and what he used to do and it was really pleasant experience. The price is only $16 for great haircut, and I would love to come back here again if I'm ever in town. read more

Took my 14 yr old here. Adam was awesome! He made all teenage awkwardness disappear! We will definitely come back again!

I went to another barber shop for a haircut and beard trim but they were too busy so they recommended Jacks. When I walked in jack himself took me straight to a chair. He gave me some pointers on maintaining my beard and did an excellent job. I will return again. read more
