I have been going to Jacks (now Iron Barber) for the past 7 years. We see both Adam and Joe, and both of the guys do an amazing job with a crazy amount of attention to detail. Adam is the only one that my Son Blake will allow to cut his hair. This is because of the great experience Adam has created for him. I have all boys and having a good dentist who handles emergencies and a good barber is essential. We have been coming to iron barber for close to six years. When we moved here we had to search but as soon as we discovered this shop we knew we were in the right place. It doesn't matter what my boys throw their way in terms of haircut requests and conversations they handle it with ease and confidence. They've seen my oldest throughout his childhood and into his teens- from silly hair requests to shaving his mustache for the first time. They have worked with my three year old and helped him learn to get his hair cut. My dad in his eighties comes to get his hair and beard trimmed. If you are looking for a barber shop that isn't niche and is for everyone this is your spot. I personally feel that if a barber shop can keep your three year old, your tweens, teens and eighty year old dad all happy and looking sharp they are doing a ton of things right. read more

Go here if you're looking for a great cut and chill atmosphere! After moving back to Idaho I had a hard time getting/keeping a good barber. I was going to Great Clips and the barbers I'd use ended up leaving and the last time I went to them my hair got jacked up. Wife found this place and went in. The Shop had a really chill vibe. 4 barbers in there all working on somebody and all having conversations with their clients. I ended up with Adam who I plan on sticking with. He knew exactly what to do with my hair and gave honest advice. I could tell he was skilled at his job and it was very easy to keep a conversation going. read more

I just received one of the worst haircuts of my life. Let me preface this by saying that I usually go to one of the chain places. I am not picky. However, I am getting married in a month and my fiancé has been trying to get me to find a decent barber for the past several haircuts. Based on overall positive reviews, I decided to try Jack's. The biker with long ponytail at Jack's should have been enough of a warning sign for me, but I pressed forward. I asked for a #3 on sides and back then blend into top with scissors. Easy, right? As he finished and I turned around, I had to stifle a laugh. I looked like he had taken the clippers way too high then basically left a long tuft on top. The transition from clipper to approx. 2-inch length was immediate (think long-haired drill sergeant). I asked him to try to blend it in. I don't know exactly what he did, but it now looks like a messy mohawk on the top and front and clipped close on sides and back above the natural line of my head. I feel like sending him the $3000 bill for our wedding photographer. However, I'd be satisfied if HE paid ME for this royal mess. The good thing is that hair grows back, so now I will have a chance to get it cut again before my WEDDING in four weeks. read more

I have always got exactly what I asked for. Adam and Joe are awesome. I just got my hair done by the new guy Stenton (might have butchered the spelling) and he did an awesome job. I love the old school feel of this place. They still do the straight razor neck shave which is my favorite. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid haircut! read more

I went to another barber shop for a haircut and beard trim but they were too busy so they recommended Jacks. When I walked in jack himself took me straight to a chair. He gave me some pointers on maintaining my beard and did an excellent job. I will return again. read more
