I highly recommend M LLC! Mark is fantastic to work with--he's extremely responsive, gets to work quickly, and charges very reasonable rates. What really sets him apart is his ability to look at a problem, explain what's going on, and give you several options for fixing it. He makes the whole process easy and stress-free. His crew is experienced, trustworthy, tidy, and friendly. Mark is also very hands-on and makes multiple visits to the job site to oversee the work himself. He keeps you updated throughout the project with photos and regular progress reports, which gives you a lot of confidence that everything is being done right. We've had his team handle a variety of projects for us, including fixing a dragging gate, repairing a stiff door lock, addressing a collapsing ceiling, and building a large concrete pad for several condensers. Every project has been handled professionally and efficiently. It's hard to find a contractor who is this responsive, reliable, and genuinely committed to doing quality work. We've been extremely happy with M LLC and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and his crew! read more

Mark is very thorough and his crews are well trained. We had him rebuild front door and entrance, install new storm door, and replace the back door. He also did great job installing the tile entry way in the basement. He carefully did the necessary adjustments we requested and now all works perfectly. Highly recommend Mark Meredith. read more

I have used them several times. They are reliable, responsive, punctual and do an excellent job!

We recently hired Mark Meredith Restoration to remodel a bathroom and handle some other small carpentry jobs around our 60 year old home in McLean. I took a flyer based on reviews in Checkbook and Yelp, and what a great decision. The crew was fantastic to work with, detail-oriented, eager to please and took great pride in their work. Having hired a range of contractors over the years, I put them in three broad categories: 1) Unreliable - Don't perform on time and on budget, don't take pride in their work. 2) Reliable - Deliver on time and on budget, but work only to the letter of the agreement. 3) Exceptional - Exceed expectations, over-communicate, treat your home as if it were their own, add value through creativity, and do the little extra things that weren't in the agreement but show that they take pride in everything they do. Mark Meredith's team falls into the Exceptional category, and without overcharging like some other well-known firms. Based on this experience, I would recommend without reservations and would not hesitate to hire them again for a larger project. read more

Mark Meredith - Painters Near Me

I feel so lucky that we were linked up with Carl at Mark Meredith LLC. We got completely crushed on a home inspection and had 30 days to make our closing. If not, there goes our dream home we were trying to buy. Carl showed up the same day I contacted him and looked at the deck which was what I had originally wanted a quote for. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable! I think he has the Fairfax County building code memorized. He gave us a very competitive quote, so we decided to get his opinion on all the other items on our inspection list. Their trucks say "we do everything" and man - that is so true!!! He went through item by item and if something was fine (home inspectors have no idea what they're talking about sometimes), he gave us a written explanation why it was fine. One by one, each item was ticked off in record time. Without a doubt, we would have never gotten to close on our home in 30 days without Carl. His crew was so fast and they are true tradesmen! The work working was absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. If we weren't selling and moving this company would be our go-to for all future home projects. Hoping we can find another Carl in our next area! read more

Excellent Work and Professional Owner and Crew! The existing roof soffits and facia on my parents old house were rotted and falling apart. I contacted several different companies and when I contacted the Mark Meredith LLC company, the owner himself, Mark Meredith, agreed to meeting with me personally in the evening to review the proposed work that needed to be done to repair the roof soffits and facia. Mark took the time to walk around the entire house, and he pointed out the work that he recommended needed to be done immediately and the work that could be deferred for some time. Talking with Mark, I found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Mark ultimately recommended that roof soffits and facia on the entire front of the house and the front of the garage be replaced with brand new PVC to replace the existing Particle Board roof soffits and facia. Whereas the other companies were only recommending repairing the damaged areas. I agree with Mark that all of the roof soffits and facia most likely should be replaced, and we agreed on a mutually acceptable price. My wife oversaw the work done by the Mark Meredith crew, and she was very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and was pleased with their politeness. Additionally, my wife reported back to me that Mark was correct in his assumption that all of the existing roof soffits and facia was rotten and needed to be replaced, as she watched the old existing roof soffits and facia "come off in rotten chunks". When all of the work was completed, once again Mark Meredith himself, met with me and my wife to review the completed work and explain the work that had been done. As I stared previously, my wife and I are very impressed with the professionalism of the Mark Meredith LLC company and we are very pleased with the work that the company did! read more

Probably the best 'review' I can give is that I have used Mark and his various crews for the entire 20+ years that I've been at our current house. Every. Time. We just completed a bathroom remodel, turning an old 1940's house pink-tile bathroom into a full walk-in bathroom with handicap accessibility, etc. His crew led by Dago was extremely professional (as always) and extremely thoughtful and intelligent about the project from start to finish. Examples are: - While installing the exterior fan, they noticed that the electric main leading into the house had frayed outer covering. They took pictures, sent them to me, and informed me that the cable was damaged and that I might want to contact the electrical utility people to have them come inspect. - While working around the 1940's style baseboard heat, which had pipes leading into the basement (so potential leak source for a full walk-in bathroom), Dago on his own initiative, made up a small TILE barrier, grouted into place, which completely hid the gap and made the room look very professionally done. - With that same baseboard heat, because we were getting a fusion toilet-sink combo (hand wastewater feeds into the basin of the toilet), it needed to be flush with the wall .. the baseboard heat stuck out from the wall and was going to be a problem. Dago and I brainstormed TOGETHER and we came up with an excellent solution of just extending the wall with sister-joices to be flush with the baseboard heater, making the sink-toilet installation a breeze. - And, finally, towards the end of the project, we were planning on installing two towel rods, one running behind the door. We bought the rods and gave them to Dago to install ... and he knocks on my office door and says he has a question. He brings me into the bathroom and comments that he remembers me talking about my Mom, who is in a wheelchair, and was at least a consideration why we were making the bathroom handicap accessible ... then he pulls out his tape measure and shows that, right now, the door opens for ~24", which is fine for a wheelchair ... but if they install the towel rod behind the door, it is going to only open ~20". He was concerned it might be hard for my Mom to get into the bathroom. THIS IS A CONTRACTOR!!! He didn't have to think about my Mom and considerations like that! But that is Mark's crews ... they've always gone the extra mile and its why I always recommend them to everyone. I'll caveat this by adding that Mark isn't going to be the cheapest quote that you get, but in our opinion the quality of work and expertise, not to mention the attention to detail and actual _caring_ about the finished product, is well worth the extra cost. read more

Carl and his team were professional and responsive. Our siding was damaged due to a storm and we had a leak indoors. They quickly pin pointed the cause and fixed it and repainted the rooms. We also had them replace our gutters with new ones and they even painted the boards to exactly match the HOA standards. They were respectful and hard workers, and we had no problems from them. read more

I had a burst pipe on Christmas Day. Mark was able to come out and assess the damage and walked me through what he and his crew were going to be able to do starting that upcoming Tuesday. I will say that everyone that works for Mark is professional and they are very careful about cleanup and making sure that nothing gets damaged. My latest project included: water and mold remediation, new pipes, new outside spigots, new drywall, baseboard, crown molding, and painting. Mark's crew put all of my furniture back where it was and then even hung back up my curtains. read more

Mark and his team were phenomenal! I highly recommend his service! I had to quickly turn my 25 year old home into a quality, long-term rental unit. I needed a team that I could trust to fully assess the house, get on the schedule quickly, and get the job done right. Mark was punctual, organized, transparent, and very easy to talk to as I walked through my long list of small and big repairs. He helped me prioritize items and made sensible recommendations. His team executed the plan on schedule and remained onsite for 2 weeks through completion. The crew was professional, thorough, and cleaned up each night. When we uncovered additional items, Mark and his team explored the options to identify the best solution. It was clear that they respected each other's opinions on solving the more complicated repairs and they cared that I had a good outcome. I could not be more pleased. It was a smooth, stress-free experience. Thank you to Mark and his wonderful team; my home looks great! Replaced roof; painted 80% of interior house and exterior white trim; lifted/leveled deck, assessed for rotted wood, and stained; re-aligned tall vertical wood privacy wall and stained; power washed exterior; fixed creaky wood floorboards under carpet; fixed exterior rusted iron railings and wooden railing inside house; repaired highly damaged closet wall and re-hung shelving; re-finished wood floors and stained; re-stained nicked wooden bathroom vanities for fresh look; replaced 3 exteriors doors with new framings that included a set of French doors; poured concrete slab for large A/C unit that needed new foundation; prepared driveway for full asphalt replacement by creatively leveling and protecting a small, sunken embedded emergency drain pipe in the driveway; discovered and repaired disconnected dryer vent pipes in the wall and replaced drywall; replaced rotted wood on front porch portico; and repaired cement cracks in the masonry located on the front facade of the home. read more

My husband and I noticed that many of our ceiling fans were dying and we needed to have them replaced after 20 years. I had mark come out and measure how big we could go for some our new fans . Welcome to the Twilight Zone. So imagine that you're very busy, but the treehouse in the backyard needs a new wooden ladder to be purchased and bolted to the treehouse. Pretty simple stuff. Imagine that you imagine a very pricey figure for this very basic and uncomplicated work would be about $500. Imagine this company now comes and quotes you five times that amount, $3000 to perform this work. There you have it, in a nutshell. Purchase and put up the ladder yourself. And now we return control of your television -- and your wallet -- to you. read more

Mark's team was great. I had a back door jam that was rotted away from improper sealing and was impacting the floors and wall. They made it look brand new and were extremely professional. I plan to use them again for any repairs or projects in the future. read more

I received an estimate from Mark to install a 13 foot shelf in a bedroom. One shelf and 5 or 6 brackets to support it. He quoted me $1,450!!! When I emailed him questioning this - what if the materials were $450 (which is outrageous in itself), even at 2 hours (to hang a shelf), that would be $500 /hour!!! I never heard from him again. Exorbitant price and completely unprofessional. read more

Our old wooden deck was rotting and in need of rehab. Carl gave us an estimate to replace all the deck surface boards with a qualification that depended on the amount of rot we had in the old posts supporting the deck. Fortunately only a few required replacement and we did want the job to be done correctly. We also wanted a new sliding glass door to go along with our resurfaced deck. Saul and his helpers did the work on the deck and installed the door. These guys were great and made every effort to do the work professionally. They paid attention to details and did not hesitate in making corrections where necessary and to redo instead of covering up when necessary. The extra effort left us with a brand new look in our back yard and we could not be happier. I also know from past experience that if we find anything wrong with the work that Mark Meredith, LLC will send a crew to make it right. read more

Mark and his team were absolutely fabulous. After having a really bad mold issue due to our air handler's location and lack of an intake connection, I was in need of finding somebody I could trust to do the job well--and this group did not fail. From the beginning, Mark was extremely professional and responsive; and his team led by Christian was so helpful, patient, and understanding of our situation. Finally found the ideal contractor. Dealing with Mark was a pleasure - he immediately understood the problem, schedule and method, and he formulated a practical solution. No drama or uncertainty - just quick and to-the-point action. The guys arrived as planned and worked together safely and quickly. Workmanship was top-notch and the pricing was very fair. The work was difficult eave work and required working at great height from uneven ground and in unbearable heat. But they performed the work like a ballet. They were in/out quick and left the site cleaner than when they came in. The guys are long-time company employees, not subcontractors, affable and each are craftsmen. They arrived in Mark Meridith LLC company vehicles and all were wearing company-marked work shirts. The company is well supplied with up-to-date and maintained tooling. The workers were all briefed beforehand on the work needed, site difficulties, etc, and went right to work without my needing to re-explain. . The company is DPOR licensed and fully insured. Communications were excellent. We can recommend without hesitation and we are already planning to soon use MM LLC again for another project. read more

Mark Meredith is an excellent contractor. They do indeed do everything - and well! I have been using their services since 2009 and have not used anyone else. From carpentry work, to doors, windows and more, they are the best. In fact, they fixed some things that other contractors had screwed up. Carl and his crew were wonderful! I have a small roof over my garage that needed to be replaced, repaired, insulated, and really just fixed up - it was old. Had these guys replace our roof, which was pretty expensive. Roof then leaked twice in two years. The first time, to their credit, they acknowledged it was due to their work. The second, they blamed it on something else. Both times I asked them to come out and do the interior work caused by water damage, which was part of the warranty. One time, despite repeated phone calls, they did not schedule the work. The second, they yelled at me, and hung up. Poor work quality. Even worse customer service. read more

Mark Meredith fixed and restored a portion of my moms barn roof and did an amazing job! They showed up on time, cleaned everything up perfectly and even finished a day early. The works man ship and professionalism was great. I also hired his company when I had a pipe burst in my home 2 years ago and it flooded my master bath, main floor and even into my basement. The damage was so upsetting since we had just bought the house a few months prior. His company fixed all the damage and it was just beautiful when they were done. His painters arrived early each day but we're so courteous that they waited to knock until it was the time they said they would be here. I can't say enough how impressed I was. It always makes you feel good when you hire a contractor and feel that you can trust them to do what they say they will do and you don't feel like your getting ripped off. I will definitely be calling them if I or my mom have any others repairs needed. Thanks so much for the awesome job! read more

Mark Meredith and his crew are fantastic! We found Mark Meredith after multiple consultations with other crews, each one not giving us the answer we wanted or not calling us back for our complicated project (installation of a washer and dryer, and also bathroom rebuild in an older condo). Mark came in, gave us a realistic run down of his vision for the project, and listened to all of our requests, and his crew was available to start the project the next day. He was 100% professional, responsive, creative, knowledgeable, and genuinely an all-around good guy. He was also upfront about the cost from the beginning. His crew is just as amazing. Jose and Alphonso were super respectful, were always there to answer questions, and worked extremely hard every time we saw them. They used their vast experience to answer our questions and had a really good eye for design that we relied on. Our project came out on budget and on time and we are so happy with it!
