The office staff is terrible , unreliable, had an attitude, no follow thru whatsoever. It's like pulling teeth . they just don't care ! I like the PA there but the office is probably one of the worst I've dealt with! I also work in the medical field and was absolutely disgusted and frustrated !! This is my provider. I have been coming to his office for several years now. I have been mostly satisfied- the office is pretty accommodating and helpful- whenever I've needed a prescription or a referral, they are relatively diligent with helping and I've always been able to be seen at my convenience. They also have telehealth, which I appreciate and have utilized. The problem is their new location. The parking lot is really tiny and every time I've been there I have not been able to get a spot. This means I have to park along a very busy merrick rd, literally risking my life crossing the four lane road just to get there. I don't want to have to change providers, but the parking situation is really precarious and I don't see a solution. Also something that occurred at their new location that I didn't experience at their former office: the nurse sat four or five patients all in the same room and proceeded to take blood from us one at a time with all of the patients present- watching. Isn't that a little bizarre? Who wants to have blood drawn in front of other patients? Maybe it is just me, but that made me a little uneasy. I hope they have done away with that practice. read more

They are "ok". As a tip, they are closed on Wednesday and Saturday? It might be nice to put those hours on your answering machine (maybe too commonsensical?). Wish I knew that before taking the drive today to fix ANOTHER screw up on a simple prescription refill. (I must say - I felt as if I were a family member of the staff, with the attentive way that they treated me.) We went back a few weeks later - just to have my son get his eye looked at after an allergic reaction - they saw him right away - got him some eye drops and had the note ready (for school) before we even checked out! Not a very impressive place. It is a bit of a factory in there. Somewhat friendly desk staff. I find the doctor to be overly casual and would probably be able to tolerate that more except I no patience for hearing his views/opinions/perspectives on things I am not there for (politics, etc). Very very rushed. Speaks over you. Don't feel as though I am being heard. I have had a much better experience with one of their PA's. Their telehealth appt's are a joke. You will have "anyone" call you, even if the person you see is available and booked with you for an appt. They call at any random time. No specific appt. time. The place is good in a pinch as a walk in but can't recommend it for ongoing care or tx. read more

In the world we are living in, having a reliable medical office 5 minutes away is a great blessing. I have had to take my wife there several times now, and on both occasions we were grateful for the prompt and thorough attention she received. Staff and doctors were welcoming, even though both visits were walk-ins. The most recent visit was prompted by a bee sting. She has a history of severe reactions to stings, and the doctor didn't take any chances. Minutes later EMS arrived to give her a thorough check out. They take all of our insurance and sent us away with an app loaded on our cell phone. We would not hesitate to use them again, and highly recommend them to all. read more

I must say Dr. Haltrecht has some of the friendliest staff I have ever seen. I am always treated kindly there's always a short wait and I leave with a smile on my face no matter how sick I am feeling. Most importantly I always get a call back with my results or any questions or concerns I may have quickly. I came in the other day and saw PA Nicole Gardocki she is so helpful,knowledgeable,personable and kind. Nicole knew exactly what to do, she not only had my meds sent over to the pharmacy right away she also called me to make sure I was felling better the next day. Her time management is impeccable. This is the first review I have ever written but after the awful experience I had today for a yearly routine visit I had to go too ( sick and all) It made me realize that everyone need to experience this wonderful place! read more

Went in last holiday season for a COVID test, which they say is free, and my insurance covers. Received a bill from them later on for an "office visit." Apparently the test itself is free, but having it done inside the building is an "office visit." Went back and forth with my insurance several times who always said I should not have been charged and that The Doctor's Office submitted the claim incorrectly. No amount of phone calls or talking to the billing dept of The Doctor's Office would do anything to change it. Avoid this place. read more

if I could give them a zero I would. Been going to the doctors office for the last 15 years under Dr Groh. Once it changed hands totally went downhill. The office especially the office manager have no customer service at all , nasty horrible treatment. I never get my referrals to the doctors when I go there my medication never has any refills and every month I have to go through the headaches of calling it in it's a nightmare. I haven't seen the doctor in three years he employs four or five PAs out of school and has turned the office into a walk-in clinic total incompetence!!! read more

I have been a patient for a long time. Dr. Haltrect takes care of my family. The staff is awesome and all his PA's have been amazing. He listens to what the patient needs. I have a few things going on that require longer term care. He's the best, knowledgeable, and listens. That's hard to find. As far as the office staff- Sandy is amazing! This place is all about just doing "follow ups" you go for a problem they don't call you back with results you have to call them and guess what you get charged because its considered a follow up they tell you your results but nothing else like not how to fix it. you know why because you need an in person follow up. and when they prescribe you something you can never get a refill because in order to get a refill you need a follow up DON'T GET SUCKED IN.....IF YOU NEED A WALK IN GO TO AN URGENT CARE AND IF YOU NEED A PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR FIND A REAL ONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT YOU AS A PERSON NEVER AGAIN read more

It is clear that quantity over quality is their practice. The front desk employees are always putting you on hold, transferring, and speaking a mile a minute. They need to calm down so they can handle their work load and deal with patients as well. They book too many appts and so you are always left waiting beyond your appt time. There is no Doctor patient relationship as the Doctors are always busy, can never speak directly to them, and it is hard to get a hold of them for results. I usually get an assistant rather than my/any doctor. Then, after waiting, they seem to rush the appt so they can see the next patient. I needed short form filled out so I may return to work and was told I'd get a call within a "couple of days" when the Doctor can review it...a couple days for a signature? Also they change their hours so make sure you call to check if they're open. Do not expect speed, efficiency, or personalization, at this doctors office. read more

Sadly, my son and i went to the office last night, yes it was 7pm....asked if he could see a Dr....oh...oh...(looking at the clock), i said " please, he cannot breathe!........she looked at the clock again....."We're closed"... I said...there isn't someone here that could see him....and again, the clock. We're closed!...Wow!! I have been to this office before, and have seen Dr. Haltract.....I don't think he will be happy with this review. Not even an I'm sorry....pretty pathetic in our existing health environment. Staff is extremely rude, Dr haltrecht never returns phone calls, He refused to provide results of blood work and other tests, AVOID at all costs. Haltrecht does not care about patients, all of the nurse practioners leave, so there is no consistency, he only has medical assistants working to save money. read more

Not sure why there's all these bad reviews?? I think Dr Haltrecht is super down to earth and real, I've seen a lot of his physicians assistants and they're all super nice. Nicole Gardocki is so compassionate she sat and listened to me and gave me advice when I was feeling low and that wasn't even part of the reason for my visit, she just cared. It's my final appointment here. They always double book appointments to the point you'll be waiting an hour after your appointment to see someone which is also rushed when you do get to see them. You'll always be put on hold when you call the office as well. They need to just slow down. Quality of appointments is better than the quantity of appointments. Bye! read more
