I have friends that run from Dr to Dr & seem to enjoy a full calendar of appts! Go figure??? Not this girl. Anyway.... On to Dr. Levitz! She's a one woman show. She's the only dr in her practice . Reminds me of going to our family dr in the 60's & 70's.... Dr. Harry Abe in Wantagh. In fact.... I haven't found a dr that I liked as much... until I found DR Levitz. The office is located in the Chase Bank bldg on the north side of Merrick Rd. Suite 300. The office is definitely NOT fancy at all. Far from it. But.... She is amazing. Soo caring & very thorough . She'll call you after hrs & always seems to be available. She's not a prescription writer so if you're the type looking for pain pills...she's not the Dr for you. She's very "by the book" & always looking out for your entire well being... Physically, mentally etc. She also offers a vitamin IV treatment. I've done it a few times & I did feel healthier afterwards. I've turned a few friends onto Dr Levitz & they go several times a week for the IV treatments. All in all.... I think she's pretty fantastic!!

She would not accommodate my schedule at all, I was very nice when speaking to her and gave her no reason to be dismissive and rude. She told me that I could not get an appointment for two months because March is the only time they take on new patients, and that my appointment would have to be in the middle of the day on a Friday, which is impossible because I work for a living. When I asked about night and weekend hours, she went on to dismiss me even further saying that those hours were reserved for "established patients"....GOOD LUCK getting established patients with service like that!!! I work in customer service at a high level and my professional opinion is- that woman should be fired ASAP.

A month and seven phone calls later (I was told with each call it would be filled, then nothing happened) I find out that an appointment is now needed to fill it. I'm fortunate to have had good health and need limited medical care, I worry to think about what would happen in an emergency. Avoid this place.

We drove 45 minutes to get there. We checked in, filled out all the paperwork, and then were informed that actually, they made a mistake and they have not accepted our insurance for several years and could not see us.
