If I have questions re increase in rates etc they make the reasons clear to me and it's usually because Iowa state as a whole has a rate increase. read more

They were helpful after Derecho and figuring out what to do about a tree branch that fell on my dad's garage. This State Farm has always given me great service. I've used them for the past 4+ years. They're always easy to reach by phone or email and have a good understanding of my current coverage and alternate options when I ask. They have great bundling discounts as well. As with any business you work with, you need to ask and understand what service is being offered for what price. If you change your coverage you also need to ask and look at the cost difference. Mark and Ally have always been honest and up front with me when I ask about different coverages and their cost impact to my policies. They're a great group to work with. read more

I've worked with this State Farm since I was 18, so right around 16 years. I've USED their services too, had a few accidents, vandalism, hail damage a few times, you name it....Never once did I have any sort of hassle getting my claims filed, or getting payment once they were filed. I've even called to file a claim and was directed to not put one in if I could cover the small costs out of pocket because it would save me on insurance rates in the long run. Melanie, Allie and Mark have all been more than happy to help me, quick on the draw, and honest. Very bad service! I have been using their insurance for two years and never have any accidents. Recently, they removed my good student discount without telling me and the insurance increased by $ 40/month. After I received the bill, I try to renew my good student discount using my transcript. They just keep telling me that my transcript does not show each semester GPA, so it won't work. They offered no solution. But all my friends' transcript do not show any semester GPA separately! As an emerging college student I am facing all sorts of new situations and responsibilities. The Mark Doyle Office has been completely helpful and detail oriented with explaining every aspect of insurance. I worked with the office since moving to Ames and have car insurance and renter's insurance. They worked hard to give me the best rate possible because they sympathize with the college student budget. When I call the office with any questions they actually remember who I am and have a conversation with me. I was scheduled an appointment to come into the office and discuss IN PERSON the different options I have for insurance. This kind of face-to-face interaction is almost unheard of in today's technological age. I am using the Good Driver Discount which is a device that measures my driving habits and saves me money, I was concerned I couldn't figure out how to attach the device and the agents said if I needed help I could stop by anytime. It was very simple, however I feel that if I ever needed anything I can always stop by the office and get questions answered. Also, the office itself was a great environment, it was very clean and decorated well. It smelled nice and was very comfortable. The financial services representative Allie was the most helpful of all. She can handle any situation in a calm and collected matter. Whenever we have a claim it is processed quickly and efficiently. When we call they know who we are. We've had multiple car incidents, lost luggage and flooding twice. They always make it easy for us .. hassle free. We recently went with State Farm for our long term care insurance. I must say Mark was persistent and patient over the years (it took us 10 years to finally decide to bite the bullet) but we never once felt pressured.
