The place is kind of hidden, and it shares the ground floor with a dodgy hotel so you might be hesitant to go in. But don't be. Once inside, you won't regret it. Among the extensive menu, The deep fried California Roll was an outstanding surprise. It was the slightest bit spicy, but the rest of the flavor made it so good. All the sushi was fresh and they had a huge selection of delicious Japanese. Even Japanese lesser known items like sunomono which is cold vinegared noodles with vegetables or shrimp. My 10 yo daughter called it the "best sushi ever. End of discussion." And we live in manhattan. She would give it more than 5 stars if only yelp would let her.

Over the past two months I've found the staff to be super helpful, but there are two cashiers that really stand out. I don't know either of their last names, but one is called Upasna. She was at the customer service desk the first time I saw her. She is very friendly and super helpful. She even offered to carry my purchases to my car for me. The second one that impressed me was Shannon. She is always bright and bubbly and funny. People like her make going through the checkout a joy instead of a pain. Both of these young ladies deserve a pat on the back. I look forward (joyfully) to shopping in your store again and again! Midge Nayler.

The salad was loaded with lots of yummy things, the bruschetta had arugula and a honey balsamic sauce. The proportions were adequate. Prompt with the bill.
